Heeeeeyyyyyy babes, You gotta give me some villain/anti hero spice head canons I’m feining for some
P.s spare no details
👅👅🤤💋 i got you
this will contain, the joker, Scarecrow, The Riddler, Red hood, Rick flag, El diablo, Harley Quinn and Poison ivy
the joker
He's into pain, cutting into your skin, its either his name or just gashes, poring things like salt or vinegar just to hear you scream.
Teasing you is what he lives for, sly remarks about you crying from the pain or the pleasure, maybe even both. "Aww baby, come uh on now, I would be doing so much worse to you."
He definitely spits, slaps or hits you on top of all of that. Loves seeing the bruises of his hand or an object littler your skin, mixing with the healed and fresh scars.
Corruption, he wants to rip the innocence from you, you need to not be able to function without him, to dread when he's not there. But from that he doesn't want you to be clingy, that will just piss him off.
He wants you to be able to never be with another man, he wants to ruin everyone for you.
Scarecrow
Blindfolds will be used, cutting off your ability to see. To see him, to see what he's about to do. He will pick up on your raised heartrate, quicker breaths and the flinching and shuttering of your body.
But that doesn't mean you both won't have 'sweet' times. He's studied you, he knows how his words have an effect on you. He'll use the to his advantage, whispering sweet nothing to you, focused on the way your body reacts.
More on your reactions, he wants eye contact, not just because he can clearly see what you like but because he knows how intimate this is.
He's always running his hands down your body. Kissing, nipping and making your skin as he goes.
He would tie your hand to the bed board above you so your unable to touch him, this way he can do whatever he wants with your body.
The Riddler
A foreplay addict slowly taking your clothes off, gently brushing his lips over your skin. Travelling across your body but not where you need him, and he know that. He'll be licking across your body till you whining and begging him to touch you.
Showers you in praise and loves to kiss your jaw. He would go slow first, dragging out every moan and gasp from you. after a little while he would speed up, going a little harder, a little faster, relishing your body and mind with love.
now this is if you've been together or sleeping together for a while, when you first slept together it was clear he was unexperienced, not knowing where to put his hands or what to do, asking you over and over again if you're ok
Also, you need tom let him know how good he's doing, praise him as well, tell him how good he making you feel and how he's the only one for you. He will fold instantly.
Red Hood
Do I have to say anything, he's a hulk of a man, he gets off by just seeing the size difference between the two of you.
He's rough, always has been so that's not an exception when it comes to you, pushing you up against whatever was solid, grabbing your face and going in for a harsh make out.
He doesn't hit or spit like joker, but he will hold you down, not letting you move. Either pushing your knees to your chest with heavy thrusts into you or holding you up quickening his hips.
If you're into it, he will use a gun, pulling it across face resting it between your lips, mumbles falling from his lips "yeah- fuck yeah take it, take like the good slut you are."
Chocking maybe?? I do see him unintentionally chocking you like putting his arm around your neck to bend you back the way he wants it, but he would like the control over your breathing seeing your eyes roll into the back of your head.
rick flag
(this is what I know about him from suicide squad)
Him being a part of military means he's got muscles. he can pick you up with ease. holding you where he wants.
He's loud, grunting in your ear breaths heavy. his hand fondle with your hips or the fat of your ass. His thrusts aren't fast, but they are strong knocking the breath from you with each one. His tip bruising your insides in such a good way.
He prefers to see you fully when you guys are together, so he will most likely be on his knees or with you on top of him, hands holding either the back of your thighs or your chest, maybe they're just running on your body.
He's so damn smug, all the time. A smirk playing on his lips as he wipes away your tear "my poor darlin' too much?" chuckling when you shake your head before pulling you in for another deep kiss.
Overstimulation final boss, he'll keep going till your eyes are fluttering shut or until your truly begging him that it's too much, but he never leaves you unclean, always cleaning you up while praising you.
El diablo
(also, suicide squad vers lets pretend he doesn't have a family)
Worships your every move, every inch of your body. He's a switch, times when your topping, he's groaning and roughly grabbing your hips and bucking up into you.
But when he's in control he's got you face down in the pillows. His thrusts are fast and hard, now instead of groaning he's speaking to you in Spanish, "tan bueno para mí" "so good for me"
He's holding you close the whole time, body flush with his as he whispers sweet nothing in your ears, creasing your body as you whimper at his touch
He eats you out like its his last meal, I do see him enjoying giving you head doing it before and after he fucks you. Even if you guys don't do anything he'll still kiss you deeply before making your way to any surface, couch, kitchen bench, even with you standing up he doesn't along as he can taste you
Harley Quinn
She's really into role play, some examples are villain x hero, strangers, strippers, robber and cop of course would be her favorite.
She owns straps as she is a switch leaning more towards top traits, the strap is definitely some array of bright colors and glitter, it would also vibrate just for the shits and giggles.
she teases you so much weather or not she the one with the strap, either telling you don't know how to fuck her properly and she would be better off doing it herself, she secretly just wants you to go harder. If she's fucking, you she teases about how dumbed out you already are and how good you're taking it.
She's a bit of a triller, she'll pull you into an alleyway and start grinding up on you, the thought of someone catching you only fueled her energy to keep going.
Harley gives you little love taps or a little nip with her teeth when she's really feeling like it but there not a chance you (or her) will go without hickeys spread all over your bodies.
Poison ivy
Bondage to the max, she'll use vines to hold you completely still, using some leaves to tickle your skin slightly.
She lovess to eat you out while your covered in her vines, she's milk the whimpers out of you going until you overstimulated and shaking from her.
Just herself and the way she handles your body is like an aphrodisiac, and she knows that all too well. She'll kiss you for ages before even taking off your clothes, Ivy will get you to beg her to do anything before doing something.
Thigh riding is another good one for her, she likes the control she still has over you, being able to stop you right before you cum time and time again.
The Riddle of Love — Gotham! Edward Nygma x gn! reader
summery: Edward's interest shifts to someone who indulges in his love of riddles.
tw: bullying (?), kristen kringle is a warning all her own in this fic, implied rejection (not really tho, Ed's just awkward).
a/n: I hope so much that I wrote all these characters correctly. I have riddler fever rn and really wanted to write for him, but I've always been scared that I'd write him too ooc. I think I did good tho.

Master List
“What is it that no one wants to have, but no one wants to lose either?” I asked. I already knew it was a lost cause. Edward Nygma was the smartest man I had ever met. Dorky? Yes. Nerdy? Absolutely. Smart? Incredibly. So trying to impress him at his own game wasn’t exactly the smartest move. Yet, the first time I gave him a riddle to solve (which he solved ridiculously fast), I don’t think I’d ever seen him so happy. So I continued to scour the internet in my free time to try and find obscure riddles.
Although this riddle wasn’t that obscure. I was running out of riddles to find, and I sure as hell couldn’t make my own.
“A lawsuit,” Eddie replied without missing a beat, still focusing on testing blood samples.
I couldn’t stop the pout that formed on my face, “It’s not fair how smart you are.”
I didn’t see Ed’s lips twitch up, how the praise I didn’t think twice about saying impacted him more than he’d like to admit. It was quiet for a few minutes, and I looked back down to the papers I had brought with me. Sometimes, I found myself working in the forensic lab when I could. One of the perks of being a criminal data analyst. I could make my notes on paper, and then just copy them into the computer later.
Since I was a data analyst, I was in the record archives often. I was acquainted with Kristen Kringle, which obviously led me to Edward Nygma. She would complain about him if I came in after he had left. At that point I didn’t know him, but I also found her complaints unfounded. I’d let her vent, but I’d also speak up for him, which made her glance away in what I assume was guilt. Then there were the unfortunate times that I’d walk in on his awkward flirting. I’d just tensely put away or take the files I needed for my research and leave them to it.
But after enough times, I’d caught him in the middle of one of his riddles. An easy one, probably to dumb it down for Kringle so she’d be enticed to answer it in the first place. Yet he had caught the attention of the wrong person. Although that didn’t seem to put a damper on his mood. He only sent me a tight lipped smile with a little ‘ding ding ding!’. That’s how I was caught hook line and sinker. His mannerisms were oddly endearing to me, and that’s how our odd little friendship formed.
I was brought out of my reverie as Eddie shuffled over to his microscope, “I am a nine lettered word and rhyme with perfection; I am another name for love. What am I?”
I blinked, not ready for a riddle, even though I always should be in the presence of him. I looked up from my work, and I noticed how Eddie was sweating, his cheeks flushing a bright red. I tapped the metal table anxiously, the word love had thrown me off my game and my brain felt empty of anything else. I mumbled words under my breath that rhyme with perfection.
“Deception, reception, perception,” I mumbled, yet none of them fit the rest of the rhyme. The longer I took, the more anxious Eddie seemed to get. “Affection. Oh! The answer is affection!”
Ed cleared his throat, adjusting his glasses, “Y-yes, that is correct. G-good job.” My proud smile fell into a more awkward one, thinking over the implications. That riddle sounded like one he’d save for Kringle. Was he running out of riddles as well? The thought alone was preposterous. It was tense for a bit. And when I realized I had nothing left to do but input the current data I had on some wanna be gang leader. The sad part is I knew that the cops aren’t going to be the first ones who get them.
Even though I needed to leave, it felt wrong for some reason. To leave the situation after Edward had seemed to admit something in his unique way of sharing. I didn’t want to assume his feelings, yet I knew he also wasn’t one to just state them willingly. Biting my lip anxiously, I decided to just do it.
Walking over towards Ed’s hunched form, I leaned down to place a light kiss to his cheek, “I’ll see ya later Eddie.” Then I booked it out of the room, leaving behind a very flustered dork.
It wasn’t much later in the day when Doctor Lee Thompson entered my office. It wasn’t much of an office. The dark walls made the space feel enclosed, and it barely fit my desk and the few cabinets it held. Yet I didn’t mind it since it was a space for myself. Lee, on the other hand, was another acquaintance whose office was nowhere near mine. She’d only come to my office for a few reasons, if it was work related (which was rare since our departments weren’t similar), or if it was personal. Sometimes she fessed that it seemed I needed some company, that it would do me no good to spend all this time alone in my office. Other times…it was on a more personal note, about Eddie and I’s relationship.
She plopped a candy bar on my desk, a placating move that was all too familiar.
“You must’ve done a real number on Ed,” She smirked, sitting on my desk. Due to the tiny size of the room, and the nature of my job, I didn’t have a seat for guests.
“What do you mean?” I asked. Deep down, I knew exactly what she meant. I knew Edward was an awkward man, and his experience with flirting was an ultimate zero. Yet it was hard to imagine that he was still affected by a small gesture of affection… Okay maybe the gesture wasn’t that small, for either of us, but still!
Lee’s smirk widened, “I think you know exactly what. Poor little Ed kept stumbling over his words when I brought you up. Something must’ve happened.”
I unwrapped the candy bar as she spoke, wanting to avoid any thought of the earlier moment. Looking back it was so awkward and a terrible attempt at…what? Flirting? Was that my intention? I didn’t even know my own intentions!
I took a bite from the candy bar, savoring the sweet flavor before having to explain the painfully awkward memory. When I managed to explain the event, Lee couldn’t stop herself from chuckling, causing me to finish my candy bar with a bitter look.
“That sounds like something you’d both do,” She smiled.
“What’s that supposed to mean,” I huffed, trying to fight off the flush of embarrassment I felt.
“Nothing,” She sighed wistfully. “But you two really take your time, huh?”
“Shut up,” I scowled.
“Okay, okay,” She threw her hands up in mock surrender. “I’ll stop teasing…for now. But seriously, I think you two would be cute together.”
I let out a childish groan, “I get it. Is there anything else you need?”
“No,” She smiled as she stood up. “Just wanted to see what had Ed all wound up.”
I rolled my eyes, but my heart skipped a beat at the implication. As Lee saw herself out, my mind kept racing. What was Ed doing right now? What was he thinking about? Did he really care enough about my opinion, about my affection, that he was still affected by it? I stared at my computer screen, the cursor blinking mindlessly. Glancing at the time, I scowled as I realized I still had 30 minutes left to my shift. The idea of going home, having a relaxing dinner and then maybe treating myself to a warm bath.
…
That was only the beginning. It seems that Eddie’s admiration had shifted from Kristin Kringle to me. It was flattering, to say the least. At least to me. Once I gained Ed’s attention, I seemed to have gained his colleagues attention as well. Typically, I didn’t work with the officers, I’d research criminals, then that data would be added to the files. So when I walked past James Gordon and Harvey Bullock, I never thought twice. But when Ed had waved at me, that cute tight lipped smile on his face as I waved back, a smile of my own adorning my face, it drew the attention of the two detectives.
"Careful Ed,” Harvey mocked. “Don’t wanna scare them off.” Jim only glanced up briefly, not interested in the situation in the least. I watched as Ed’s smile twitched for a second, Harvey’s words seeming to get to him. I felt my smile slip, not liking how they treat him in the slightest.
“He…didn’t do anything wrong,” I shrugged, before waving goodbye, making my way to the record archives. Not only them, but even Kringle was looking at me more than just as a person to vent to.
“I feel sorry for you,” She stated, adjusting her thick rimmed glasses. Her hazel eyes held their usual air of judgment as she placed some files back in their spots.
“Why?” I asked, flipping through to find the person I needed.
“Isn’t it obvious?” She asked, raising one of her perfectly maintained eyebrows. “Edward’s got his eyes on another victim.” I frowned, anger bubbling within me at the way she always found new ways to insult him.
“I wouldn’t describe it like that,” I managed to grit out. “I find the sentiment sweet.”
“Wait,” Kringle paused, turning to look at me with disbelief. “Do you…like him?”
I sighed, finding it hard to focus on the task at hand with this irritating conversation, “Would there be something wrong with that?”
“Isn’t it kind of weird how fast he switched?” She asked, a hint of jealousy in her tone. “I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before he loses interest in you.”
I slammed the cabinet shut in a bout of rage, leaving the room before I do something I may regret…or lose my job over. As I exited, my scowl worsened when I realized I didn’t even get what I needed.
“Hello!” Edward’s excited voice greeted me as I entered the break room. When my gaze landed on him, I felt my expression soften, my shoulder’s relaxing. His brown eyes were so expressive, that silly smile on his face never failed to melt my heart.
“Hey,” I muttered back. Looking over the options in the vending machine. Just get something to eat, and hopefully I’ll feel better.
“Is…something the matter?” He asked, fidgeting with his glasses. I let out a long sigh as I sat across from him at one of the few tables.
Taking a bite of my snack, I took some time to gather my thoughts and feelings, “Sometimes I just hate people.”
His eyebrows raised, nervously fidgeting with his tie, “Th-that’s…understandable.”
“Sorry,” I muttered, finally cooling down. “Someone was just saying some really mean things and it got to me.”
Edwards’ demeanor changed in an instant, a frown replacing his smile, and his eyebrows furrowed in a mixture of concern and anger, “Who?”
I blinked, “What?”
“Who insulted you?” He asked, fists clenched. This wasn’t what I was expecting. He would get annoyed, yeah, but he’d always just stew in it until he calmed down. And he was barely angry when I was around, which was something I was proud of. So seeing him react so harshly was unusual. It made me feel a bit appreciated, that he cared enough to get this angry over it, yet it was also unsettling.
“They…they were insulting you,” I clarified, rubbing my arm awkwardly. “And trust me, I was ready to do some things that would’ve gotten me fired.”
Ed blinked, calming down drastically at the revelation, “Oh.”
“Yeah,” I shrugged. “I swear if she says one more damned thing about you I’m gonna…” I strangled the air, the only way I could express how frustrated her insults made me.
Edward fake coughed, his cheeks tinged a light pink, “I assume you mean Miss Kringle.”
I paused, hoping it didn’t hurt that his past interest was still as rude as ever. “I didn’t even manage to get the files I needed,” I grumbled, hoping to lighten the mood a bit.
“...I can get them for you,” I felt my heart crack. Was he still interested in her? Was that why he was so ready to go into the den of the woman who so readily insults him?
“Oh, no you don’t have to do that,” I shook my head. “I’ll just have Lee do it.”
Ed blinked, seeming to think over something before standing up, “I’ll be right back.” Before he was fully out the door he paused, “Whose case files did you need?”
I couldn’t help the tiny grin at how eager he was as I gave him the names of the people I needed files on. Yet that smile fell. Was he really so excited to get a chance to see Kringle that he almost left without knowing what files he needed? I finished my snack, getting a drink from the vending machine while I was at it. My mind continued to make up terrible scenarios that could be happening at that moment. How she could manage to crush Ed’s precious heart even more than she’s already managed to.
Ed was back quicker than I realized. It took him less than ten minutes! He set the files I needed on the table, that tight lipped grin on his face as he waited for my input.
“Oh! Thank you!” I thanked, flipping through the files to make sure they were all there. “She didn’t give you any trouble, did she?”
“No,” He replied simply. As I met his gaze, that’s when I finally realized that he was truly over Kringle. I should’ve felt disturbed at how intense his gaze was, at how strong his emotions seemed to be when he wasn’t even trying. Yet I only felt flattered, important, and wanted. Emotions I wasn’t completely used to, and caused my heart to stutter at how strong my own emotions were becoming.
Standing up, I leaned in and kissed his cheek again, this time a bit more confident then the last time I did. I waved goodbye as I walked out with the files he gave me. I felt pride swell within me as I watched Eddie become a flustered mess as I left. It was a good mood lifter as I watched him fumble with his usual nervous ticks, before he was finally out of my sight.
…
Edward’s courting tactics only seemed to grow after that. I wasn’t sure what changed him to do so. I could only speculate that Lee had something to do with it. She kept stopping by my office, asking how Ed and I were doing like she hadn’t just seen us the day before. I can’t lie, I was reveling in the attention that Ed was giving me, and I could tell he’d revel in my attention as well. A mutual pining on both sides.
Normally, I’d be okay with that. Too scared to try and push things forward. Edward Nygma was different. He was just so…amazing. I’ve never felt so strongly towards someone. He was sweet, attentive, smart, and overall lovely. I couldn’t just settle for pining, I wanted to experience what it would be like as his lover.
Which led me to this horrendous mess up of a confession.
I dressed up a bit nicer than usual, hoping to impress the cute dork. I felt confident in myself, an emotion I don’t feel regularly. I greeted Lee, who seemed like she guessed the occasion and sent me a wink when I walked past.
“Hey Eddie,” I greeted, setting a cup of coffee down on the counter.
“Oh! Hello,” He greeted me, smiling. “You seem chipper this morning.”
Nudging the coffee towards him I smiled back, “It’s a good day today. I got you a coffee.”
“You didn’t need to,” Ed replied sheepishly, not used to people giving him things.
I only shrugged, “I wanted to.” I tapped the counter I was leaning on as nerves started to slowly creep through me. So, before my anxiety could get the best of me, I blurted out, “What is mine but only you can have?”
With furrowed eyebrows, Ed actually paused to answer a riddle for the first time during this little game we had. His eyes flitted around the room, like he was trying to avoid the answer. I know he was smart enough to figure it out, so the fact he was taking so long to answer caused my heart rate to spike from anxiety. Maybe this was a bad idea. Maybe I was reading the room wrong. I blame Lee for feeding me a wrong understanding.
“I…uh…” Ed stuttered over his words, sweat dripping down the side of his face. Shit, shit, shit! I shouldn’t have said that. He does know the answer, I found it online easily, he obviously knows. He doesn’t feel the same and now he’s trying to find a way to politely reject me.
“Nevermind!” I exclaimed, trying to quell my nerves by getting the fuck out of here. “Stupid riddle! Never needs an answer. I should get to work.”
“W-wait!” Eddie called out, making me stop in my tracks. So close yet so far. “I can be a fruit, I can be on a calendar, I can be important, and I can be forgotten. What am I?”
Turning back around, I watched as Eddie picked at his nails. We both seemed like complete messes at the moment. It was hard for me to think of anything due to my previous failure of admitting my feelings. I bit my lip awkwardly, trying to stop myself from making any more of a fool of myself.
“I…I’m not sure Eddie,” I chuckled solemnly.
Clearing his throat, he adjusted his glasses before admitting, “A date. W-would you accompany me on one?” I stared at him with wide eyes, unsure if I heard him correctly.
“Y-yeah! Of course I will!” That tinge of embarrassment was quickly overpowered by exhilaration. The smile that stretched across my face almost hurt with how big it was. Eddie’s smile was also wide as he still couldn’t meet my eyes.
“Is…is tonight okay? Dinner? 7 o’clock?”
“That sounds perfect.”
And to make the moment better, I kissed his cheek before parting, excited for what the night held for us.
Different versions of the Riddler constantly making freudian slips when they are near their crush Y/N. Like they are hanging out and Y/N stops to smell a flower, and Eddie is just like, "I wish that was me...". But when Y/N turns around and asked what did he say he just blurts out. "I WISH YOU WERE STUNG BY A BEE."
Or
"Gosh you are so lovely. I love you."
"what?"
"I meant - YOU ARE A MONEY AND I'M SELLING YOU TO THE ZOO!!"
(You don't have to do this if you don't want to I just think it is a funny idea.) ^^
A/N: Aww this is such a super cute idea lol but I think some Riddlers will probably be suaver than that, but most of them would absolutely erupt into random blabberings cause that's easier to explain than his emotions lol
Riddlers x Reader - I Love You--Wait, what?
Arkhamverse Riddler:
You just had to be near him, and that frustrated him. He was frustrated that he got flustered around you. You made his brain stop thinking logically, and purely upon emotions, and he hated it. You constantly distract him with your laughs and smiles.
The way your eyes genuinely lit up when watching him work. How you shared his enthusiasm whenever one of his machines or gadgets sprung to life. The way you looked at him with excitement and pride, the way no one has ever seen him.
He was working on another one of his projects. You would look between his blueprints and back on the parts he was tinkering with. Trying to connect what you saw on the paper to what was physically there.
Edward stopped moving his tools for a moment and just looked at you.
“I adore you…”
“Come again, Eddie?” You looked up to face him.
Edward froze. His hands tightened around his tools, wishing it was his neck instead.
“Oh, uhh..er..I said I warned you, not to get too close. Sparks could fly and there’s no use you going blind!”
Dano Riddler:
Edward enjoyed seeing you, it started to become his favorite part of the day. It took you sometime, but you were able to get through his hard exterior and you two eventually became friends at work. Of course, it didn’t take long for the companionship to evolve into something more deeper and intimate for Ed.
It was another boring business party. Edward will never understand why they make these things mandatory. He knew no one wanted him there just as much as he didn’t want to be there.
“Eddie! Is that you?”
He heard your voice over, and turned around to greet you, but he wasn’t prepared to actually see you. You were dressed to the nines in formal wear, it was the first time he’d seen you in anything but work attire.
“Y-You look stunning…”
“What’d you say, Eddie?” You asked with a small smile.
“I-uh-er-um..I-I was humming to myself, sorry..”
You giggled. “It’s okay, I’m glad I could catch you! You look handsome!”
Edward gulped the growing frog in his throat. “Uh…oh, yes, um…thank you.” Someone shoot him now.
Gotham Riddler:
Another tale of work friendship blossoming into something more. Edward appreciated you more than he could ever express in words. You actually listened to him, made an honest attempt at his riddles, he was overjoyed when you tried to tell some of your own (even though he knew the answers before you even finished them, but he was appreciative all the same).
It didn’t take long for romantic feelings to start taking over. He wanted to ask you out so badly, tell you everything; how much you mean to him, how he appreciates you…
“Gosh, I love you…” He muttered.
“I’m sorry, Eddie! I didn’t catch that!”
His heart stopped and dropped to his stomach. He totally forgot you were right next to him at his desk, overlooking a new report for him.
“NOTHING! Uh, uh...sorry I mean…I just said..that..uhh…I-I need you..your second opinion on this report…”
“Smooth.” said the dominant personality that lingered dormant beneath his self conscious.
BTAS Riddler:
Even though Edward is now a well known criminal, he does still enjoy making toys and games, even if nobody gets to enjoy them. However, that is until he met you. You were one his associates at Baxter Toys, and yet somehow stayed in touch while he was in and out of Arkham.
“Oh, Eddie…this is incredible!” You commented. You just solved his new renditions of an old puzzle box concept he developed.
“You’re incredible.”
“What?”
Ed’s eyes widened as he repeated what he said in his own head. “Oh, ah, um…I said thank you, you’re input is greatly appreciated.”
Zero Year/Capullo Riddler:
He actually says things like that rather often, and expects you to take it as a joke and not sincere at all. The only way you’d know it was sincere is when he backtracks, because he didn’t expect you to hear him.
“You’re pretty amazing…”
“What was that, Ed?”
“Huh, what? I didn’t say anything, can you go back to bending over, please?”
You rolled your eyes and instead walked out of the room, barely hearing Ed let out a “hey!” as the door closed on him. Proud prick.
Twojar Riddler:
He doesn’t see the reason to say anything unless he’s going to be heard. When he tells you something he expects you to hear it.
“I know I don’t say it often…but I hope you know..” He’s cupped your chin in his hand and made you look up into his eyes. “I am absolutely enamored with you…”
“W-Wait what?”
“You heard me.”
Gotham City Sirens Riddler:
One time, he was in his office just organizing some case files in his cabinets. You decided to take the opportunity to also do some spring cleaning around your office space as well. Plus you enjoyed spending time with Eddie. He liked reminiscing on old cases with you or cases he took in your absence.
When the scenario in question started, he was recounting a time your assistance really came in handy.
“I remember that,” he smiled fondly at the memory. “You are so brilliant..”
“Sorry, didn’t catch that! What did you say?”
“Oh, um, uh…I was just thinking…” His brain rattled to try and say something, until he realized. There was nothing to worry about what he said, because what he said is true.
“I was just thinking about how brilliant you are, I’m lucky to have you on my team.”
Young Justice Riddler:
You two were on another recon mission for The Light. You were sitting beside Edward on the jet flight to your next destination. You were staring out the nearby window, with a contented smile on your face.
He hoped you didn’t notice how he stared at you, yearningly. The way the soft light of the setting sun made your face glow more radiant than before. It made you look ethereal.
If heart eyes existed, he would have them right about now.
“Gosh…you’re so gorgeous…I love you..”
“Huh, did you say something, Ed?”
“NOTHING! IT WAS NOTHING!”
Telltale Riddler:
He’s sorta like twojar. Whenever he speaks, he expects to be heard, if he didn’t want anyone to hear he wouldn’t have said it in the first place. Not to mention it’s hard to get a compliment or any sort of affirmation, but on the rare chance he does, he won’t hesitate to manipulate you to think you didn’t hear anything.
He hummed pleased at the new outfit you were wearing. “You look radiant..”
“Hm?” You turned around to face him.
“Oh, nothing, dear. Don’t you fret.”
Gaslighting prick.
Hush (DCAU) Riddler:
You were one of the few hench-people he hired on that he could genuinely trust. You always had his back when it came to physical altercations with the Batman. You could keep a secret if he was weary of a traitor in his gang. He also had a massive crush on you as a result of this.
He watched you as you went through a basic work out regiment. Edward felt like an absolute schoolboy the way his cheeks were dusted a rosy pink and he found himself occasionally gasping for air.
“You’re incredible, God I love you..”
“Sorry, Eddie.” You slipped off the earbuds you had in your ear. “Did you want to tell me something?”
“NO-N-NOTHING..no..nothing at all…ehh er..sorry, I-I’ll leave you be.” He did leave you with his tail in between his legs and him kicking himself mentally, whereas you were just left confused.

Part 2
It’s late on a Friday night in Gotham, just past midnight. The city outside is quieter than usual, the distant hum of traffic and sirens echoing faintly through the narrow streets. Inside a small, rundown apartment in one of Gotham’s poorer districts, Edward sits hunched over a cluttered desk.
Newspaper clippings, daily crossword puzzles, scribbled theories, and messy notes about Batman are scattered everywhere. His green jacket hangs lazily on the back of his chair while he leans back, balancing on two legs with his feet resting on top of the papers.
The apartment’s air conditioning barely works, so the window beside his desk is wide open, letting the cool autumn breeze drift in with the strong familiar smell of rain.
Edward chew on the end of his pen humming and muttering to himself “Riddle me this, Batman… I use sand but I’m not a desert… I use hands but I’m not a person…”
He pauses, frowning before scribbling out the quote in his notebook book.
“…No. No, that’s not right.”
He leans further back in his chair, frustrated, staring up at the stained ceiling as he thinks. That’s when he hears it.
A voice.
Soft at first. Then clearer, Someone singing.
Edward’s head tilts slightly toward the open window, curiosity creeping across his face. The voice carries through the cool air, warm and smooth, humming a tune that seems completely out of place in this grim corner of Gotham.
Outside, just across the narrow gap between buildings, you stand on the fire escape of your apartment. You’ve just gotten home from another late shift at the bar where you sing most nights. A cigarette glows faintly between your fingers as you lean against the railing, letting the night air nip at your skin.
Singing quietly to yourself is a habit you picked up years ago, something to wind down after performing for noisy crowds all night.
You don’t realize anyone is listening, But Edward is.
Inside his apartment, he slowly rolls his chair closer to the window, careful not to make noise. His eyes narrow slightly, studying the silhouette across the way. Smoke curls up around you as your voice drifts through the air again.
For a moment, he forgets about the riddles, Forgets about Batman. His fingers tap thoughtfully against the desk.
“How interesting…” he murmurs under his breath eyes still stuck on your frame.
Your voice fades as you take another drag from your cigarette, humming softly while staring out at the dim Gotham skyline. Edward leans on the windowsill now, watching with quiet fascination.
Then, almost absentmindedly, he speaks just loud enough for the night air to carry his voice across the gap.
“Riddle me this…”
You pause mid-song, glancing around, confused about where the voice came from, cigarette almost forgotten, Edward smirks slightly in the darkness.
“What sings to the night, breathes smoke like a chimney… yet doesn’t seem to know someone’s listening?”
Your eyes finally land on the figure leaning out of the open window across from you.
And that’s how it starts. What begins as curious late-night conversations across two fire escapes slowly turns into something stranger, playful riddles, quiet talks after midnight, and a fascination neither of you expected.
You’re just a bar singer trying to make it in Gotham, He’s a man obsessed with puzzles and secrets.
But somewhere between cigarettes, riddles, and stolen conversations in the dark. Edward Nashton starts looking forward to midnight.
And you start wondering what exactly your strange neighbor is hiding, why you always see him hunched over a desk all the time.
Why he was always talking to himself, always saying riddles to himself. But that doesn’t stop you from being curious about him and his life.
From this request becuase for some reason it wouldn’t let me answer and write 😟😟
The Singer pt.2
pairing- the riddler x reader Stalking, not only online but in person, when the riddler finds out about you being able to sing from any word he takes it as a challenge
Part 1
The messages started as riddles.
Short ones at first. Clever little puzzles sent from an anonymous account that always appeared around midnight. Sometimes they were jokes, sometimes strange observations about your music.
At first, you ignored them. Then one night you decided to answered.
After that, the conversations became a routine. Midnight messages, Word games. Teasing back and forth about lyrics, melodies, and the strange quiet of Gotham after dark. Whoever he was, he was sharp—almost frighteningly so—but there was something oddly charming about the way he spoke to you.
He always seemed to be studying you, knowing something he shouldn't. You never asked how he knew so much about your music, about what you sing about or you current favorite song to sing, and he never volunteered the answer.
Edward, however, knew exactly where to find you. It had taken very little effort. A few searches, a few hours following scattered posts and clips online, and eventually the small bar appeared and your name listed on a weekly lineup beneath a flickering neon sign. "hm, so this is where I can find you" he smiled to himself
The place was dim, loud, and smelled faintly of cheap liquor and rain-soaked coats.
Perfect.
Edward slipped inside one evening and stayed close to the back wall, watching the stage with quiet focus, trying not to draw attention to himself. When you finally walked out, microphone in hand, the room softened in his mind. You looked different in person, brighter, more alive. He adjusted his glasses slightly, leaning forward with fascination.
Before your set began, Edward felt someone clap him on the shoulder. “First time here?” the bartender asked with a grin.
“Something like that,” Edward replied, eyes still scanning your body as you walked around the stage, getting everything prepared before your act.
The man laughed and gestured toward the stage. “That girl up there? She’s a genius. Give her any word in the world and she’ll turn it into a song.”
Edward tilted his head. “Any word?” now turning his head toward the man next to him. "Any word.”
A slow smile appeared on Edward’s face. He leaned in and quietly told the bartender the word. The bartender barked out a laugh. “You’re kidding me. Alright. Let’s see if she can pull that one off.”
A few songs later, the bartender called out toward the stage. “Hey! Challenge time!” You groaned dramatically into the microphone, making the crowd laugh. “Alright, alright. What’s the word tonight?”
The bartender grinned wickedly. “PhD.” everyone went quiet before the room burst into chuckles.
You stared at him. “…You’re serious?” He nodded, crossing his arms. You shook your head, laughing as you adjusted your guitar strap. “Alright, give me a minute.”
As you scanned the room for inspiration, your eyes landed on a man standing near the back wall. Tall and quiet, watching you like he already knew how the song would end.
Something about the way he looked at you made you smile. So, you started playing.
The melody came easily, the room started clapping along with the electric swing beat, some started quickly dancing, the cheap liquor taking effect.
"Hey, look at me, like what you see? Just look at me. My two feet have a PhD" your hands strum the guitar as your hips swing and legs bounce with the rhythm.
Your eyes scan the room landing back on the man. "Hey, look at me,
For what you need 'Cause you and me are perfect harmony" smiling into the lyrics as your eyes stuck to the man in the back.
Every time the lyrics circled back, your eyes drifted toward the stranger in the back. Edward didn’t look away, not once.
When the song ended, applause filled the room. You bowed dramatically before hopping off the stage, but instead of heading straight for the bar, you walked directly toward him.
Up close, he was even more intense. Dark hair slightly messy, Glasses reflecting the dim lights, and a smile that looked like he’d just solved something.
“You,” you said, pointing lightly at his chest. Edward raised an eyebrow. “Yes?” you smiled standing closer “You gave the word.” It wasn’t a question.
Edward adjusted his glasses. “Technically your employer delivered it.” You laughed. “Was it your idea?” “Yes.”
You stepped a little closer, arms folding loosely, a sly smirk playing on your lips “That was a mean word, almost impossible to sing something with” you teased. Edward leaned slightly toward you. “And yet you handled it beautifully.” The compliment lingered between you.
You noticed his eyes flick down briefly to your hands resting on the bar before meeting your gaze again.
“You’ve been listening to me for a while, haven’t you?” you asked. Edward’s smile deepened slightly. “Longer than you think.” Something about the way he said it made a spark of recognition click in your mind.
Your eyes widened. “…The riddles.” Edward said nothing, only smiling more.
But the silence was answer enough. You laughed softly and stepped even closer. “I knew it.” he stood to his full height, towering over you “You’re very observant,” Edward replied, voice low and in a almost attractive tone.
Your fingers lightly brushed the sleeve of his coat as you leaned against the bar beside him. “And you’re a little creepy,” you teased, running your hand against his with an innocent smile.
Edward chuckled quietly. “I’ve been called worse.” You tilted your head, studying him with a raised brow “Why didn’t you just introduce yourself?” Edward glanced toward the stage where your guitar still rested. “I didn’t want to interrupt the music" glancing back at you
Your smile softened. “That’s sweet.” Edward looked mildly surprised by the word. Before he could respond, you reached out and lightly tugged the collar of his coat. “Come here.”
Edward blinked. “What—” You pulled him a step closer, close enough that the teasing confidence in your voice dropped to something softer.
“You watched my whole set,” you said quietly. “Yes.”
“You gave me the hardest word in the room.”
a smile plying on his face once more “I did.” head tilting back slightly. “And you’ve been secretly messaging me for weeks.” you continued, now letting go of his coat but keeping the close distance, Edward nodded slowly. “That is correct.”
You stood straight, arms crossed. “Then I think you owe me a kiss.” For the first time all night, Edward looked genuinely caught off guard.
But only for a moment. His hand found the bar beside you as he leaned closer. “Is that the reward?” he asked. Your voice was barely above a whisper now. “No...That’s just the interest.” he hummed in thought before grabbing your hand off the bar, a steady pace towards the outside of the bar.
Pushing open the metal door, the cold air from outside bit into your face as he pulled you further down the empty, dark alleyway. Anticipation bubbled in your stomach as you got to the end of the alleyway.
He turned back around, slowly walking you back into the cold and damp wall. A gasp of shock left your lips as your back came into contact with the wall, Edward held your hips towards his own. His spare hand traveled up your back pulling you even closer.
His eyes were almost darker now, the quiet alleyway only gave way the sound of distant sirens, car horns and the breaths between the two of you.
The hand that once traveled your body was now on your jaw, holding your face up to meet his eyes. He tilted his head slightly as he kissed you, the hand on you hip went up to your waist pulling you flush against him.
Your eyes fluttered shut as you wrapped your arms around his neck, deepening the kiss. You felt his tongue attempt to slip into your mouth, allowing it, what was meant to be a small kiss turned into a heated make out.
His hand ran against your body, grabbing onto the back of your thigh, lifting your leg to wrap around his hip before pulling your other leg up, lifting you off the ground.
In this position he was able to grab the fat of your ass, kissing down your cheek to the crook of your neck, kissing and sucking dark purple marks onto each spot.
Gasps and moans fell from your lips, clutching his hair between your fingers pulling slightly causing the man on you to groan into your neck.
His head left your neck, eyes now meeting yours. Your lipstick was smudged across your lips, out of breath and your hair was a total mess.
You looked amazing to Edward,
He wasn't much better. His glasses were crooked, eyes filled with hunger and lipstick around and on his lips. Heavey breaths fell from him, you couldnt hold back.
You grabbed his coat going to pull him back in, only to be cut off by a bang of a door opening.
Out came your boss.
Dread filled your stomach as he turned and saw you pushed you against the wall looking like you were seconds away from stripping yours and Edwards clothes off.
A sigh fell from your bosses' lips as you slipped from Edward's grasp, attempting to straighten yourself out. "Sorry to um, interrupt, but were getting slammed at the bar, we could use your help" he said awkwardly.
"right, ill be in there in a sec" you hurriedly said back, watching your boss walk back inside, a sigh leaving your lips.
"I'm sorry I gotta go back in, can we meet up tonight at yours though? i wanna see what my mysterious neighbor is up to all the time" you said placing two hands on his chest, he chuckled. "Yeah, you can come over, I need to sort some stuff out first and we'll be good" you smiled, kissing him once more before parting.
Before you went inside you stopped yourself, "oh I never got your name?" he tilted his head to the side "oh, sorry my name is Edward Nigma" you smiled "I'm y/n l/n"
He knew that of course.
"oh and Edward, you have some lipstick on your face" you giggle before walking inside, grabbing a piece of cloth from his pocket he whipped off his face, staring down at the colored stain, he chuckled to himself.
This is still a real REAL work in progress, but I am liking where it is going so far, and wanted to post what I had. I do plan on finishing this eventually, it’s only meant to be a one-shot anyway, but here’s a snippet!
I just really wanted to post something too..so yeah there’s that
Also this is more towards twojar! Riddler, it’s basically an alternate course of actions after he gets shot by Joker.
“Care to explain how you got yourself in this situation?”
“Riddle me this, in a tunnel of darkness lies a beast of iron. It can only attack when pulled back..what is it?”
“A bullet, yeah, you got shot. I get that. But why? By who? When you escaped?”
Despite having an open gunshot wound, Edward manages a chuckle. Quickly followed with a pained cough. You quickly applied more pressure as you continue tweezing for the slug in your significant other’s abdomen.
“Far from it, my dear. In fact, the guards let me go...willingly.”
No matter what the situation, uncompromising or not, Edward always found a reason to give a smug smirk. You don’t even want to know what or how he pulled that off.
“Still doesn’t answer my question, Eddie..” You point out.
At that moment, you manage to remove the bloody FMJ bullet. Your eyes grew wide, as Edward returns your expression with a content smile. There was your answer.
“You visited the Joker I see...” You sigh as you place the bullet on the blood soak wash rag on the coffee table.
“Very clever my darling. Indeed I visited our tormented clow-AH-”
“Sorry, just let me close this wound.” You are pretty pissed that he went to see Joker and not you as soon as he escaped, but as always with Ed, he had a logical explanation for everything he does.
Nevertheless, his life is in your hands at the moment, and you knew you were one of the few if not the only one he trusted with his life.
He needs to watch his next words...very carefully. At least as long as he didn’t want his wound to get infected...
“The Joker can’t laugh. It’s obvious, he has hit everything from theaters to comedy clubs and stand-up performances.”
“And that is your concern why?” You inquire as you start finishing the stitching.
You begin to grab to turn around to grab the bandages, but Edward grasped your wrists to prevent you from completing your task.
“I went to him, to make an offer I thought he couldn’t refuse. I offered a solution. For us to team up against the Batman...”
“But instead he gave you a slug in the gut and bleeding out?” You continue to grab for the bandages, but he stops you again as he makes a stand, walking towards to bathroom.
However, not without grabbing the scalpel you put out.
“A misstep,” He replies, “but it doesn’t change anything, not my plans anyway...”
“And what exactly is this plan of yours, Eddie?” You ask.
Riddle me this, what is crazier? A murderous humorless clown or a man with a penchant for solving every and any problems, to the point to were he wants to help said murderous humorless clown..?
