Faeboy is a gender related to being a boy/man/male but in a mystical and androgynous way.

Faegirl is a gender related to being a girl/woman/female but in a mystical and androgynous way.

Demifaeboy is a term for when one only partially identifies as a faeboy.

Demifaegirl is a term for when one only partially identifies as a faegirl

I’m never fully satisfied with my physical gender expression and I never know what to do about it.

I have days where I’m fine presenting AFAB and being perceived as AFAB.  I have days where I wish I had a deeper voice.  I have days where I wish I had a flatter chest.  I have days where I wish I looked more like a boy, but a very feminine/androgynous boy if that even makes any sense.

I think that’s just a fact of being demifaer that I have to try harder to accept and cope with.  My feelings fluctuate, my dysphoria fluctuates.  I’m not sure if I will ever have one true “body” I can be 100% comfortable in all the time because my feelings aren’t concrete... as is the struggle of being underneath the genderfluid umbrella.

If anyone has any advice or opinions on what I’ve said here, I’d really appreciate it if you could share with me.  I’m tagging this post with transmasc tags (even though I’m not transmasc myself) in hopes that the transmasc community can provide some insight as well.

Come to think of it, I’m honestly shocked I haven’t discussed this topic on my blog yet, since it’s really nothing new.

Today's Gender of the Day is: Genderfae!

Genderfae is an identity that is fluid between multiple genders, but never male or masculine genders. Genderfae folks can experience fluctuation (called faeflux) or they can occasionally experience masculine genders (genderfaer). This gender falls under the genderfluid, demifluid, and multigender umbrellas. It is also a part of the genderfluid fragment gender system.

Genderfae can be paired with other identities - agenderfae and greyfae are two examples. Genderfaun is the counterpart identity that encompasses anything that isn't female or feminine.

Another name for this identity is genderdoe, but please do not think that using the imagery or idea of faeries for your identity is disrespectful or appropriative; this is a myth.

Genderfae, also known as genderdoe or genderthil, is a form of genderfluidity that never encompasses male or masculine genders. 

Genderfae people can be fluid between any range of feminine genders, unaligned or neutral genders, or genderlessness, but they never experience masculine genders. Genderfae is sometimes considered a non-masculine subset of fluidflux.

The masculine complement to genderfae is genderfaun, which is fluidity between non-feminine genders.

Some genderfae related labels are-

Genderfaer: One can experience masculine genders but is never a binary man

Genderselkie: The nonbinary genders experienced are often xenic.

Demifae: A gender which is partially static and partially fluid (demifluid). The fluid part of the gender is only fluid between identities which are not male, male-aligned, or masculine. The static part of the gender can be any gender of combination of genders.
