FIRST LOOK IS OUT AND I HAVE THOUGHTS!!!!
Stolas my baby bird I missed you 😭
Stolas' theme in major key is both heartbreaking and beautiful, reminds me of an enchanted forest, I want it as a track
Stolas looks so good! I am so happy that we get to see his pupils now, it really adds to his look
why does Blitz's insert character... look like that lmao
Blitz would 100% be down for this role play
"my father's stables" but the sigil on the stable door is Stolas' lmao
Watch Blitz dip Stolas with their massive height difference is always amusing
"Baron? That's a stupid name, change that later" what a writer's mood Stolas
Making sex noises in the booth has gotta be fun (for legal reasons this is a joke it's season 3 and they're professionals)
Stolas having PTSD from Striker 💔
And even worse that was the face of Blitz, the man he loves, morphing into Striker's face
Minor thing that I don't now whether or not is significant but the blood Stolas envisions is red, not demon black
The clock says it's five minutes past four, am or pm??? Blitz's phone call makes it sound like it's the morning but what the fuck are they doing in the office in the ass crack of dawn
Millie throwing up because she's pregnant
The contrast between youthful, happy dream Stolas and depressed, tired Stolas recovering from a panic attack 💔
You can actually read Stolas' writing, and damn not bad. Wish I could read the panicked part under the ink spill though
Stolas crossing out the whole page, again, a mood
I'm so excited!!!!
Blitzø's final stage in his journey of and healing and self worth.
Now I have been detailing blitzø's journey for a long time and we all have seen how he and stolas have made slow but steady progress on learning to be open with each other and those around them but one thing they have to do is learn to put their feet down with those close to them.
Now i know that this is going to sound weird and blatantly incorrect but from what I have seen for far blitz has been kinda a pushover. Not with random demons satsns asshole no! But rather with his inner circle and while yes he's certainly abrasive with them or at least m&m but we've never really seen him actually put his foot down with loona, really tell m&m no unless you count sinsmas but the point i'm trying to make blitz has done very little to push back against anyone he truly cares about. He's been rude and abrasive but that's not really establishing boundaries is it?
What i'm getting at is that i believe that what blitz and to a lesser extent stolas (as he has been through charater development regarding this already i.e Stella sort of.) Is learning to establish boundaries. Blitz has struggled with boundaries his entire life and despite he and others might claim is selfless to a fault. He has learned to respect others boundaries and the people they are attached too he's never stalked m&m since ozzies, he laid off loona with the affection and has in general been rather respectful wouldn't you say?
My next point is that if this arc is going to come to completion is that this respect has to go both ways. Now dimension what are you talking about? I hear you ask. Well I am going to come out and say it but I'd say everyone of the i.m.p staff are as guilty as blitz for their poor relationship with their boss. What was it they called him in full moon? "Idiot boss"? Ouch. Now ask me how is that any better than him being calling moxxie a bady dick or overly cuddlingly loona? And even his best friend threw a fit over him playing ghosts. Speaking of loona let's not forget that she kicked him in the nuts over trying to hug her and beat him with a painting and while they have all drastically improved especially loonie who is being much more reasonable but that doesn't change the fact that the other 3 imp founders need to suck it up and accept that they need to put away their fragile ego (moxxie), unreasonable standards (millie) and bad attitude (loona). Respect is a two way street and it would do no good for blitz to be a more respectful person if no one else returns the favor.
Now more importantly than any occasionly disrespectful employees is the the real one blitz needs to face and that's his rat shit father cash the weasel buckso. Finaly putting his foot down with his father and giving the bastard a long over due beating is a nessacity for the next two seasons.
so i just had a fridge moment... er, fridge thought-- er, shower logic-- er.... FRIDGE LOGIC moment lol
Ozzie wasn't there at the competition. when Fizz runs off and panics in his dressing room, he doesn't text or call Ozzie (he's too busy panicking).
then Ozzie suddenly shows up at the door. he couldn't have known what was going on, himself.
Blitz called Ozzie.
all day, Blitz had been trying to convince Fizz of his worth, so when he realized he wasn't going to get through to him and saw Fizz spiraling toward an unstoppable total breakdown, he immediately reached out to the only other person he knew could help. Blitz didn't just give up because he couldn't fix the situation by himself.
Ozzie was right. Blitz really was the next best thing.
anyhow i just love these two besties and their character arc, that is all. <3
When rewatching Barbie's Bad Day I notice that Ricky appears to have the same forehead mark as Blitzo, Barbie, Fizzarolli and Cash Buckzo. Making me wonder if Ricky and his dad could have been from the circus Cash ran, but sometime after the fire the circus troop got disbanded and it's members looked for other means to support themselves. In other words, Blitzo wasn't the only former circus troop member who opened their own business.
Octavia's character is actually so well written like
The first time we see her is her having a nightmare about not being able to find her dad in the palace no matter where she looked. Her fear is already clearly shown in her first appearance, and from then on every time we see her is her having that fear re-instilled
In loo loo land, Stolas is unable to understand how she is feeling, that she doesn't want to go to the circus with him (this is a trait Stolas has throughout the series where he cannot tell what other ppl feel, and viv has made posts hinting at this being an intentional character flaw). So not only is he dragging her somewhere she doesn't want to be but then makes it worse by inviting blitzø becuz he wants to spend time with him. We know Stolas could defend himself, it's clear he wants him there not as a body guard but becuz he genuinely wants him to be, ignoring how via may feel, ignoring why he was doing this to begin with. He just invited the guy he cheated on vias mother with to spend time with them while they went somewhere to try cheer her up, and via puts up with it the whole time.
That short did something to me… something a lot of us go through in different ways. Family issues, parents, that deep sense of unfairness… And the fact that Millie didn’t say anything, didn’t try to give advice in that scene was just perfect. I love these two so much. This is what true love looks like… I’m not ok ~
So, I’ve been rewatching some of my favorite Helluva Boss episodes lately (as you do, the cope is real). And to add some variety to each rewatch, I’ve started to focus on watching reactors and seeing their takes on those episodes. It’s been a blast! Seeing the different reactions and perspectives that they bring to my favorite episodes. Some of them have even pointed out things I never even noticed while watching the episode on my own. It really adds a freshness to each rewatch, as if I’m seeing the episode for the first time all over again.
Hower, it’s not always a matter of new insights and enjoyable new perspectives. Which is understandable, and expected honestly. It’s the internet, afterall.
What I don’t understand is how every reactor has had almost the exact same response to the scene from “Mammon’s Magnificent Mid-Season Special” regarding Fizz’s stalker “fan”.
Every reactor’s initial response is excitement at Blitz’s timely arrival in intercepting Creepzo, eagerly anticipating Blitz doing what he does best and assassinate the creep. But then Blitz decides not to shoot, opting instead to just smack Creepzo with his gun and leaving him to slink off. Every reactor I’ve watched was flabbergasted by this, not understanding why Blitz didn’t just kill the creep. But then, the whole event is put to the back-burner and ultimately forgotten due to the drama that immediately follows afterwards.
Heck, if I’m being honest, I had the exact same response when I first watched the episode myself. But I’ve been obsessively rewatching my favorite episodes back to back ever since “Sinsmas” aired, so of course I noticed something I didn’t pick up on that first viewing.
Blitz’s reaction to Fizzarolli’s panic says it all. He knew that Fizz wouldn’t be able to handle it if Creepzo got shot. Heck, he was there when Fizzarolli himself admitted that he does’t handle dangerous situations.
Blitz was listening. And he handled the situation in a way that he thought wouldn’t agitate Fizzarolli any more than he already was.
And it doesn’t end there! Here’s another interesting little detail that I don’t see people mentioning.
Asmodeus arrives just in the nick of time to support Fizz and help talk him down from his panic attack. But here’s the thing. How is he there? It was stated multiple times that Asodeus wasn’t supposed to be at the event in Greed. And the whole fiasco that took place in “Oops” shows that he doesn’t keep tabs on Fizzarolli when he’s outside of Lust. So, how did he know?
Simple, Blitz told him.
Blitz was working with Asmodeus to convince Fizz to quit the clown pageant in the first place. But, when everything Blitz said went completely ignored or was outright rebuffed, he simply stood by his friend to act as support. Until he realized it wasn’t enough. Blitz actually assessed the situation and determined that Fizz needed Asmodeus more than anyone else in that moment. And he took a step back and left it to Asmodeus.
Showing yet another instance of Blitz caring about his found family, and showing his love by being considerate in such subtle ways that people don’t notice.
