don’t get me wrong i loved show!wesper’s “i kinda like your face” but book!wesper’s “maybe i liked your stupid face!” is so much more meaningful to me cause whilst show!jesper is openly flirting, book!jesper didn’t even know he really actually liked wylan at that point. he was angry and confused still running off of adrenaline and felt like he’d been betrayed and he had no idea why wylan’s tailoring felt so catastrophic. it wasn’t a calculated decision to blurt it out, it was in the heat of the moment and completely unfiltered. he probably didn’t even realize it was true until after he’d already said it.
