Y a know it's been almost 15 years since I first thought about it and I still think that if they wanted to give Tim a non Robin Identity that bad, they really should have used Flamebird. I know they have since given it back to Bette Kane but she barely exists in costume (also I liked her arcs where she's a civilian more than the ones where they force her back into costume so I admit I am 10000% biased). Especially since it's a kryptonian hero and aside from her relationship with Nightwing, she doesn't particularly has any contact with them.

Meanwhile, with both Tim's relationship to Dick and Kon (and even his friendship with Kara in 1YL if we wanna go there), he's got enough connection and

To want to honor them and for it to work very well thematically. And the color scheme is a good mix of Tim's Robin colors pré and post Kon's death.

I like to think damian used to talk so formally as a kid because talia and ra’s aren’t that familiar with modern english and just taught him what is grammatically correct

If you think about it not every Robin has a Super friend as some of y’all claim, but almost every Robin has an Amazon/Wonder Fam friend

The differences between the civilian and vigilante identities:

Batman: An emo but kind girl's dad with twenty children and a lot of baggage

Brucie: Local bitch boy, prince of Gotham with way more children than he can take care of

Oracle: Done with her life. Doesn't know your name and won't care enough to find out. Is convinced that all her co-workers are lesser beings of low intelligence

Babs: Cop's kid, always taking care of others, tries her best to be a good influence on Gotham's youth

Nightwing: Sunshine boy, helps old ladies cross the street, cares more about other people than himself

Dickie: Road rage, protect sibling, kick ass, kiss wife

Red Hood: Tough boy with daddy issues, if you're not a child he won't take it easy. Be prepared, he has killed before, is killing now and will kill again.

Jaybird: Daddy's special fucking boy, literature kid, can and will make you feel dumb during any normal conversation

Batgirl/Black Bat: Scary af, "Nobody dies tonight", must be protected from all the evil in the world >:(

Duke: Moody teen, acts so dumb that it looks like he's trying to die, always messing with people but he's so cool that no one actually gets mad, only one with power to annoy everyone in the family at the same time

Catkid: Currently counting how many grenades they'll need to blow up the White House and take control of the USA government

Habibi: The most polite someone could possibly be while describing how he would commit atrocities, he is literally three apples tall, cute af, gives the best gifts

Something kinda funny that ppl forget is that Maps is older than Damian, she’s def smaller than him but she’s still a solid one and a half year older and I think she should be scolding him as if she was the adult in the relationship when they’re both clearly idiotic children w around the same level of maturity

Also, Damian is 15 now, that makes Maps 16/17 whih is kinda wow??? Shes so small and excitable that i forget shes a teenager

Also also, Maps and Bruce as Batman and Robin were so ughhhhh

Theyre the perfect Batman and Robin duo!!! A happy go-lucky and determined kid who’s set her mind on becoming Robin regardless of what Batman has to say and this tired bat who has already raised so many children but can’t get her to stop no matter what she does and ends up welcoming her into the field because, well, what else is he gonna do?

I love the concept of bruce having civilian friends as batman, or js doing normal person stuff and interacting with gothamites. Like no one likes bruce wayne, that guy is a billionaire, fuck him, but batman is just some buff autistic guy, he means no harm if you dont deserve it, he payed for my window when man-bat broke in why would anyone dislike this man
