I have Simone on the mind again… mainly how her family dynamic changes when she enters the other universe.

So on Earth-16 Simone and her family were actually really happy. There’s obvious tension at times but that is normal considering the circumstances.

There was a brief dispute between her father Orion and her Uncle Scott regarding the truce being broke. Which inadvertently put Simone in danger. It was sorted out though after both dudes sat down and thought it out.

Highfather and Highmother were decent enough grandparents.

Olivia was Simone’s best friend. Raquel was an amazing mom and Amistad was an amazing brother.

Simone had a village essentially looking out for her. Even after they died from old age she still had her New God family watching her.

THEN New Genesis gets invaded and the boom tube Orion sends her through malfunctions and she’s sent into another universe with a completely different version of Earth and New Genesis.

Orion doesn’t know her. The other New Gods don’t trust her.

Highfather wants to use her.

The Earth family doesn’t exist because they’re dead and Raquel never met Orion in this world.

Olivia is a stranger.

Scott and Barda try to be welcoming but they don’t know what to do with her.

I know this game changes things around so our character has to be the one to save the day but it’s still HILARIOUS that Big Barda lost a fight to Harley Quinn…

Is there a ship name for Bekka and Orion?

I know it’s technically a canon relationship depending on continuity but there’s ship names for canon relationships in DC.

I know Rocket x Orion is Rockion and Lightray x Orion is Lightrion but is there really nothing for Bekka and him???

Orion really is a tragic character when you think about it. His adoptive brother Scott is free as a bird meanwhile he is shackled by fate and the fact he’s Darkseid’s son.

His adoptive father uses him as a weapon while claiming to love him.

He has to hide his true face and no matter how hard he tries his father’s personality comes out in him.

I really don’t get why people label Orion as gay when he had a wife several times.

He was married to Bekka in two comic continuities and in a movie.

Plus he might have a thing for Rocket in YJ.
