I have recently discovered that healing is not dressing your wound and keeping it safely tucked away. Healing is cutting open the wound, inspecting the festering bits before carefully removing them and intricately stitching yourself back together.

You know that feeling after a therapy session, where you feel like fleeing or wanting to break something or just sit on the ground and sob?

Because I feel like that after pretty much every session, not because it was bad or anything, it's just so emotionally draining.
