Post op
Three days post op. It’s been rough between all the nausea and pain. Today I luckily had hardly any nausea, but the pain near the incisions has been pretty bad. I was able to get out and go to a couple stores and walk around. I caved and took some of my pain meds which has helped but now I’m loopy while writing this. I’m still struggling with water only getting maybe 30-40 oz a day. I was able to stomach a few bites of yogurt and a couple ounces of protein shake. I’m worried about my fluid intake and protein intake but hopefully things will keep improving.
5 Weeks Post-Op.
So I'm 5 weeks out, and am on to mushy food. I miss being able to eat normal food, but my health is more important. Had a checkup with my GP today, and my blood pressure is a bit low. He also thinks that the reason I'm so tired all the time is because I'm not eating enough, even for a VSG patient. He's sending me for a blood test and gave me some tips on what to eat.
On the tiredness note, I'm always super tired. I nap every day for like, 4 hours. It worries me because I feel like I'm missing out on life, which is what this surgery was supposed to provide me with - life. I'm going to assume it will get better.
How much have I lost? I don't know any more. Every scale I step on shows me something different. The differences can be anything from 2kgs to 7kgs. Irritated!
Let's hope things improve~

Day One: Pre-Op Diet!
So today is day one of my pre-operation diet, and the day that marks 2 weeks until my sleeve gastrectomy. I am both excited and nervous, but hey - it’s about time I got my life back on track! I will be documenting my weight loss through this blog, so buckle up for... whatever this is. My starting weight is 125kg, Photos will be added to keep track of changes in my body, so prepare for pictures that may assault your eyes!
The pre-op diet is basically the Optifast diet, that I must follow 2 weeks prior to surgery in order to shrink the size of my liver. This will make the procedure a little easier for the surgeon.
Let the weight loss commence!
