Spider-Bat Fam Part 2

Part two of the Spider-Bat Fam post.

For this one, I ended up using the last three alternate Spider-Man personas since I didn't want to give all of the Spider-Bat fam a spider or bat theme.

Batwoman + Daredevil = Hell Bat

Starting us off is Hell Bat. While in the military academy, Hell Bat has an accident relating to new chemicals that causes her to lose her eyesight and gain enhanced senses that let her do much more than the average person. However, she was still kicked out of the army, with them using this as an excuse.

Back in Gotham, Hell Bat hears about Spider-Bat's exploits and even gets to meet them. And with her enhanced senses, she realizes Spider-Bat is her cousin. With that discovery, she talks him into letting her help due to her having fantastic tracking ability among other skills thanks to her powers.

While acting as the vigilante, Hell Bat. She's also studying or is acting as a lawyer for Gotham and might.

Spoiler + Ricochet = Recoil

Recoil is the daughter of a supervillain who wants to make her father recoil in horror as she ruins his plans. To do this, she develops her own hero persona and invents disks that can bounce off any surfaces to personify her intentions as the heroine, Recoil. Spider-Bat would then take the girl under his wing.

Black Bat + Dusk (Cassie St. Commons) = Nightfall

The daughter of two assassins who was trained to be the ultimate weapon. However, an accident would happen that eventually leads to her death. But, she somehow returns with a connection to the Darkforce and gained the ability to teleport and control darkness. With these powers and her training, she runs away from that life and is found by Spider-Bat, who adopts her. After joining him as the vigilante Nightfall, she would discover the ability to sense where her allies are and know if they're okay.

Signal + Prodigy = Symbol

Symbol is one of the few day time heroes in Gotham. He is also a mutant with the ability to manipulate light who idolizes Spider-Bat. When Spider-Bat discovers them, he takes Symbol under his wing and gives them a special suit.

Unlike the other suits the Gotham vigilante's use. Symbol's suit was mystically enhanced to give him superhuman physical abilities to go with his mutant ability. Spider-Bat gave it to Symbol since the young man would mostly be on his own as a day time hero in Gotham.

Batwing + Clash = Rumble

Rumble is the son of one of Spider-Bat's closest allies. The young man would be inspired by Spider-Bat and draw pictures of different vigilante ideas. His father would see these a build a suit based on one. Specifically, a suit that uses sound as a weapon through sonic pulse generators. Rumble would then use this suit to help Spider-Bat as a member of the batfam.

Spider-Woman (Jessica Drew) plus Batwoman (Kate Kane)

she was raised by an evil spy organization who experimented on her and gave her powers, but she was eventually turned to the good side and joined the army, but she was kicked out for being gay, at which point she became a superhero. She lives in new gotham, but unlike the rest of the spider bat family she is more global.

Spider-Bat Rogues Gallery

So, I really enjoy the Spider-Bat AU where Batman and Spider-Man are combined. Though, some are more obvious than others and not that creative.

Joker + Goblin = Mischief

Probably the least creative combo since they're like the main nemesis of each. But it makes for an interesting villain since the two would parallel so well.

Both Mischief and Spider-Bat's civilian identities could be the richest people in Gotham. However, Mischief wants to use the corruption to his advantage while Spider-Bat wants to clean it up. Both use their wealth to create high tech equipment for their alter egos.

To make things interesting, I like to picture Mischief starting out as a normal person that relies on tech while searching for a way to grow as strong as Spider-Bat, while Spider-Bat trains in martial arts to become more skilled at using their powers.

Penguin + Kingpin = Emperor Penguin

This one is another pretty obvious one. But I couldn't help but mix these two together because my mind keeps flashing back to The Batman's version of Penguin who could fight. Plus, their origins mix pretty well.

Two Face + Venom = Madness

This one I'm not sure is as obvious. It could be, given Harvey's connection to Batman being similar to Eddie Brock's in Spectacular Spider-Man. I love the idea of three 'minds' fighting inside one body for control. Maybe the Symbiote can also be the thing that keeps them on track.

Plus, it could be an interesting story. One side of Two Face wants to protect Spider-Bat after Venom reveals their identity to him. The other is filled with resentment for Spider-Bat not saving them.

Scarecrow + Vulture = Murder

Another possibly more obvious one. I like to imagine Murder being a business owner who was betrayed and decides to use his engineering and psychology degrees to create a villain persona to show people what happens when you push someone too far.

Their suit would probably have a cropdusting-theme where they can drop fear gas as they fly. Like their old lego plane.

Riddler + Kraven = Challenge

Challenge is someone who has always been gifted both mentally and physically. The best minds and the mightiest beasts had trouble keeping up with them. So, they grew bored. When they heard about Spider-Bat, they saw someone and possibly the only person who could give them a worthy challenge. They'll test the hero's mind with riddles and questions, while testing them physically through combat.

Spider-Bat Justice League

Since I did some posts on Spider-Bat's family and his rogues. I thought I'd get started on his allies by mixing the Justice League and Avengers.

Superman + Captain America = Super Soldier

Super Soldier is an alien who came to Earth as a baby from Krypton before the Second World War. After learning about his alien heritage, he wonders what he could do to be accepted by Earth.

The answer soon comes when he decides to use his powers to defeat the Nazis, but the mission goes wrong and he gets frozen deep under the arctic ice, with his alien biology being the only thing to keep him alive. Eventually, he's pulled out of the ice and learns that his wish came true, people saw him as the world's first and greatest hero.

However, a new problem arises. His fame makes it hard for him to be seen as a regular person like he wanted. It doesn't help that his family and everyone he knew in the past are gone. So, he's trying to build an alternate identity for himself to give him some of this peace.

Wonder Woman + Thor = Warrior Woman

The princess of Themyscira, an island of immortal amazon women. She was trained by them and crowned their champion. Eventually, the gods task her with finding Thor's hammer and proving that she's worthy. So, she sets out to learn and help the world of man while trying to find Mjolnir and prove herself worthy of wielding it.

Green Arrow + Iron Man = Steel Archer

Steel Archer is a young genius born into a wealthy family, similar to Spider-Bat. One day, they get stranded on an island after their family's yacht crashes.

Forced to survive, the young man makes and masters the bow and arrow as they try to figure out how to leave. One day, they discover an abandoned secret lab on the island and use their intellect to develop a way home. Unfortunately, he suffered a life-threatening injury while on the island after discovering the lab, leading to him developing a device that he implants in his body to help him survive.

After escaping the island, Steel Archer realizes he can use his skills and technology to benefit society and uses the device keeping him alive as a power source to power the equipment he uses. Said equipment is an advanced piece of armor that launches arrow-themed missiles.

Unlike Spider-Bat, who uses a mixture of his powers, developing skills, and technology. Steel Archer relies primarily on advanced technology and the skills he developed while surviving.

Hal Jordan + Hulk = Green Hulk

Green Hulk is a former pilot who faced an accident that sent a large amount of gamma radiation into his body. The accident gave him a split personality that appears when he's angry and it feels like a constant battle of wills between the two to maintain control.

However, that isn't the only change he'll find. Their battle for control has unexpected observers in the form of the Lantern Corps. Not just one but two different rings are sent to Green Hulk. The green ring of willpower for the human side and the red ring of rage for the Hulk side, creating a wild card.

Flash + Antman = Dragonfly

To be honest, I didn't know who to use for Flash with this one.

Dragonfly is a genius in multiple fields. One day, while studying a special particle in his lab, lightning strikes and causes an accident that gives Dragonfly superspeed. He assumes the combination of the lightning with the particles' mass-changing properties caused his growth in speed until he learns about the speed force.

With his newfound speed, he finds he can get more research done and can also help people with it.

Spider-Bat Rogues Gallery Part 2

Time for part 2 of my first Rogues Gallery post.

Hugo Strange + Doctor Octopus = Hugo Octave

I actually chose this one because Hugo's obsession with learning who Batman is reminded me of Superior Spider-Man.

Hugo Octave was a criminal scientist who used psychology and engineering to commit various crimes and would eventually set his sights on Gotham. However, Spider-Bat grew his interest. So, he got a job at Arkham Asylum to study the way the minds of Spider-Bat's villains worked. His interest in the hero grew more, leading him to feel the need to not only defeat Spider-Bat but learn his identity. To do this, he began replicating Spider-Bat's animal theme with his engineering genius.

However, an accident led to his equipment fusing with his body and affecting his mind, causing his obsession with Spider-Bat and proving his superiority to grow. It rises to the point where he believes Spider-Bat is one of the greatest minds on Earth and defeating him and his allies will prove Octave is the best.

Harley Quinn + Black Cat = Misfortune

I'm going to be real. I really did not want to go for the basic combo of Black Cat and Cat Woman for this. But I think this one still makes sense.

While studying in college, Misfortune was assaulted by her boyfriend and trained herself so that wouldn't happen again. Eventually, she would graduate with her psychology degree. However, she eventually meets Mischief (Joker + Green Goblin) and he decides to use her for one of his enhancement experiments. He talks his way into her heart and gets her to willingly agree to the procedure, which gives her the ability to manipulate luck and give people bad luck. Mischief would then become his sidekick and deal with Spider-Bat. Who tries to persuade her to get away from him.

Something that I forgot to say is that I picture Mischief having an imp theme. Or he just has Joker's clown theme but all of Green Goblin's gadgets. So, Misfortune could have another form of demon as her theme or a sad clown theme.

Poison Ivy + Electro = Joule Orchid

And what's Harley Quinn without Poison Ivy?

Joule Orchid biologist and electrician was experimenting with the possibilities of bio-electricity. However, her experiments led to an accident that led to her gaining power over plants and the ability to absorb the energy they produce and other sources around her. However, this change also affected her mind and made her feel a need to protect the planet's flora while also believing someone sabotaged her experiment to cause her to become the way she is. So, she's come to despise people.

Man-Bat + Lizard = The Chimera

At the request of @opossumpal and because I honestly thought it was the best combo for these two characters. Since I don't want to use Morbius for Man-Bat.

The Dragon was a biologist who was experimenting with genetic mutation, wishing to develop a way to help people with physical disabilities. To do so, he studied the abilities of different animals like bats and lizards, hoping they'd be the key. However, The Dragon's attempts lead to him mutating into a humanoid creature with a mixture of characteristics between bats and lizards.

They have a bat's wings and the large hulking body of a human. But they also have the face of a lizard with bat ears atop it. Their back are arms are covered with bat fur while their front and legs have lizard scales.

Now, The Chimera fights between their humanity and the beast inside them. Trying to cure themselves

Firefly + Molten Man = Ferrocerium

Again, I love The Batman and couldn't resist using this combo.

Ferrocerium was a pyrotechnic who turned to crime due to Gotham's poverty. He would soon learn about an experimental metallic alloy and he would attempt to steal it. However, the alloy spilled on him and turned him into a creature seemingly made of lava. The spill and constant flame fueled his pyromania and caused him to grow to love causing destruction and fires.

Spider-Bat Rogues Gallery Part 3

In celebration of April Fool's Day, I decided to make some joke villains. Hope these get you to laugh.

Condiment King + Slyde = Saucer

Behold, the most fearsome opponent of the Batfam. The legendary Saucer. The ruiner of costumes, public menace, destroyer of dishes, incredible skater.

Saucer is a former comedian whom Mischief used in one of his experiments. He hypnotized the man and gave him a special suit that would let him slide across the ground quickly. Mischief then sets him out on Gotham, but not before giving Saucer the idea to augment his costume with slippery-themed weaponry.

So, the man develops grenades and guns to shoot condiments at people to complete his look.

The Terrible Trio + Enforcers = The Hunting Pack

Okay, so I ended up getting the idea of the Terrible Trio ending up similar to The Enforcers, but the Spectacular Spider-Man version where they get upgrades to better match Spider-Man, giving me the chance to use a few other joke villains.

Fox + Trapster = Reynard

Reynard is a gang member who is obsessed with foxes. He's given a set of equipment that will let him trap anyone he comes across in a glue-like substance. He takes his costume a bit further with a fox mask.

Vulture + Stilt-Man = Swooper

Swooper was given a battle suit that lets him lengthen his limbs to make it easier to capture and get away. Like fox, he has his suit upgraded to give him an animal mask, a vulture.

Shark + Big Wheel = Ocean Wheel

Shark is given the most interesting item. A giant moving wheel with weaponry attached to the sides. He has it painted to look like a shark.

Calendar Man + Hypno Hustler = Holiday Man

A villain with a deep obsession for the holidays. He uses mind control technology to have people act out certain holidays while committing crimes for him.

A mix of Harley Quinn and Carnage

Former partner of (a mix of Joker and whoever I pair him with) but later struck out on her own and became a villain/anti-hero, Carnage still came from Venom in this reality so They don't really like Carnage/Harley.
