Late twenties is a strange time. We see our life change drastically within years. It is so easy to lose yourself and give in to the new responsibilities that hover you all the time. A mental load of all the boxes you must tick and all the roles you have to fulfill. And even though you try your best to do that there are days when you see yourself spread too thin. And that's when you find comfort in a familiar embrace. You go back and revisit the person you once were. Be it an hour of nostalgia. Or a visit to your old room. Or a letter you wrote to yourself a long time ago. And that's when you pick yourself up within the mess and see a reflection of the person you have become entangled within the myriad of roles you've picked up. But with that you see all of the many ways time has changed and realities have divulged. And though nothing drastic happens for the longest time. And you pass day after day doing the same set of chores. You find yourself at the edge of so many years of duties and deadlines. And look back to see your loved ones age and your belongings wrinkle. You see the grey hairs and notice the difference in your smile. Suddenly you no longer feel the same and find that everything else has changed too. That point can be a reckoning of all that we leave behind. And though we so carefully pick everything we leave for others, there's hope we become kinder to ourselves too.

Even now as broken as you may feel, you are still so strong, there's something to be said for how you hold yourself together and keep moving, even though you feel like shattering, don't stop, this is your healing, you just have to keep going.

Beauty

Beautiful is a term that is used to typically describe females...but why?

Beauty is more than a pretty face.

Beauty is something that is precious and special.

It is something that is too often, taken for granted.

It is a word that people should used more often.

When you call someone beautiful, you aren’t only complimenting their appearance.

Calling someone beautiful is more than calling them hot, or pretty.

You’re complimenting their soul.. the way they act, think, talk.

Beauty defines who someone is, inside and out.

So I’m calling him beautiful.

He is special.

He is precious.

He’s gentle and kind.

He is what makes me happy..what makes me laugh.

He means everything to me.

And he is beautiful.
