A little jittery at first. Kind of mumbles about going for a walk. He shakes a little when you ask him to repeat because you didn’t catch it. Then he manages to say it louder and out practically beam. His heart skips a beat because that smile is for him. (okay he can do this.)
The two of you walk around the park and he tries so hard to think of something to say. You come to his rescue and start making conversation. “I heard the foodstalls around here a good!” Tamaki manages a shy smile. “Yeah, I wanted to try them...with you.” This boy is a sweetheart okay.
By the time the two of you get to the stalls he has a little more confidence and asks what you want to try first. His eyes are glued on the seafood stall when he goes. You pick up on that and point to it. “I think I want to try that one.” He turns to you a little surprised but then smiles. “Oh, me too.” (you know that).
The two of you continue going from stall to stall and you keep asking him questions. He wants so badly to return the favour but most he can manage is a “what about you?” but you can tell he is interested. Tamaki is really good at observing and listening so he prefers to hear what you have to say then talk about himself.
Tread gently around pushing to hard about himself, start of gently by asking some questions and he will eventually open up on his own. He wants to tell you lots of things but he feels far to vulnerable on the first date - it will come later.
The thing with Tamaki is to even get to this point of a first date the two of you would have to of been friends first with a fair bit of contact. Otherwise he would have had no courage to go on this date. Actually when he went to ask you he couldn’t get it out so you ended up asking him. But you left it to him to pick the place (you knew he wanted to ask you but couldn’t wait any longer).
Once the two of you have eaten your fill he doesn’t know what he should do. Should he end the date there and retreat home? He felt kind of hot being around you so long. He had liked you for a very long time and couldn’t imagine he would ever had gotten this far. he’s in a dream.
It has to be you who suggests continuing the day. He probably follow you anywhere but you can tell he is pushing himself already. You suggest sitting beneath the shade of the tree for awhile.
He sits against the trunk, loosely hugging his legs while you lie on the grass, looking up at the leaves of the tree. He is looking at you, not directly, he doesn’t want to be caught but his gaze lingers by you enough to see your face. Your expressions makes him feel warm and fluttery inside. He loves your face.
You talk familiar things. UA and your friends. The delicious food from the stand. You ask about his quirk. He asks about yours. It’s nice, casual and exactly what Tamaki needs to think this is going well. (it is).
When it comes to part ways you give him the warmest smile “I can’t wait for the next date.” Tamaki felt his heart race. Another date. That was good. You wanted to see him again. Wait had he heard you correct? Was his mind running off with a fantasy.
“I’ll text you tonight, okay?” You insisted and he nodded, his cheeks blushing vibrantly. You were going to message him. You were going to go out with him again. Tamaki walked home in a daze that day and his cheeks didn’t cool down for a looooong time lol.
Kirishima Eijiro
This boy asks you out. And when he does he comes across as super confident, maybe a little bashful but trust me, inside he is a nervous wreck because this is you! The person he likes! He feels unworthy but he can’t sit on these feelings anymore.
When you agree he is the happiest he has been. You like him back? Amazing! Starts planning the date immediately while constantly texting you ideas. Bare with him, he’s excited okay. You gotta make him chill though or he will NEVER decide.
The ultimate decider is you messaging “Hey, let’s do this one first and then we have plenty more dates after to do the rest.” You don’t see it but he blushes hard with the BIGGEST smile when he reads it. Queue smashing his face into the pillow he is lying on. He likes you a lot okay.
You ended up settling on bbq and arcade date. (he loves his meat okay and honestly seeing his eyes shine over it is a reward in itself). Surprisingly though he doesn’t eat as much as usual. He’s still enthusiastic about it but the boy is nervous! Smile the whole time but also chock full of adrenaline and a little jittery. Wants to go go go!
He talks a lot. Like a lot a lot. He can’t seem to stop. Sometimes you don’t even get an answer but god he is just so cute when he is nervous lol. He’s this giant ball of energy. When he stops to shovel food in your mouth it’s you chance to get a word in.
Now don’t get me wrong, he would never talk over the top of you (and he doesn’t) but when it’s his turn to talk he can’t seem to stop. The two of you make it through lunch and when he shoots up to leave you can’t help but chuckle. Nothings more complimentary that he’s excited right? Excited to be with you.
On the way to the arcade though you have to do something. You have to make him chill a little or he is going to explode. Grabbing him by the hand you stop him by the entrance. He looks down at your hand in his and he blushes a little. He chuckles nervously too but before he can ramble again you say his name, stopping him.
“Hey,” you say softly and with a smile, “I’m nervous too so let’s take our time okay? Don’t run off on me.” Kirishima’s heart = exploded. Heart eyes to the max right here.
He takes a deep breath in and out. “Right!” He smiles and opens the door to the arcade. “Nice and easy.” He mumbles to himself.
He chills a little more after that. He’s more like himself and letting the conversation flow naturally instead of constantly stimulating it along. Now you get to tease him whenever you win a game. He doesn’t really care about winning but he lives for the banter, especially when you kick his ass in the shooter games. Higher accuracy for the win. Just poke your tongue at him or wink and he’ll melt.
There two of you are there for hours. Time goes so quickly. It’s dark before the two of you know it. “Damn.” You hear Kirishima say as he notices. “Let’s cash in our tickets.” You suggest. “I’ll use mine to pick out something for you and you do the same for me.”
The two of you search the small shop, realising despite having lots of tickets it doesn’t buy much. You settle on a small, red punching glove that fits on one finger. He settles on a little key chain of you favourite anime character (omg he remembered you mentioning it?) a very cute boy indeed.
The two of you bid farewell. “Do I get a chance at a second date?” He asks. You smile and leave him hanging for a moment. “We have to see all those places sometime don’t we?” Okay he can get used to this.

Notes: Okay, so this request sent me someplace because this sounds hilarious and the antics that a host could get up to with these guys - oh my.
That being said, I defaulted the reader here to be gender neutral, mostly because Haruhi is a host, and I want to be able to keep anybody reading in the general fantasy of the whole experience.
I also took some liberties with the format, so I hope that you don’t mind these being headcanons. I find them the easiest to write, but they also leave room for the most comedic moments on both parts (the hosts and the reader).
I left some things vague for the sake of reader ‘control’ if you understand. I hope you don’t mind it and enjoy the piece nonetheless.

let me cover something first: you being an addition to the host club is a blessing to this group of students.
whether or not you are an official part of the host club, the group can and will find a way to tease you (excluding tamaki - in the beginnning)
tamaki may also jump in to provide an attempt at comfort, but-
who are we kidding? he’d be quick to embarrass himself and hide away in his emo corner.
otherwise, when you do become an official host - HOO BOY.
the twins will target you.
the catch is that you have observed all of their tricks from the halls and classrooms.
you were able to pick up on a fair amount of things that they would pull.
so this led to you recruiting some backup to get them back.
if their prank was set for you, it would backfire (at least the first time).
if you set a prank for them, it’d get them (the first few times - guaranteed)
seriously. catch them doing something stupid and obnoxious (read: P R A N K) and boom
there’s your chance.
when they’re plotting, you’ve already had a plan and they just fell into your trap.
this would be rare though, as you’d be avoiding each other’s pranks after the first couple run-ins.
once the pranks become common, you’d be jumping to prepare yourself with a water gun and ice cold water at the beach and a fresh pack of gum and a gag toy to leave them in the middle of class.
otherwise, while tamaki is trying to claim dominance in the club endeavor(s), kyoya is watching you and the twins go at it.
eventually, your attention will be drawn from them (whether from your own clients or theirs) and most likely to honey-senpai or kyoya himself.
the difference between the two is that you tease honey about his cake choices and kyoya about the way he handles himself
(cheesy as it is, ‘icicle’ and ‘mr.-ever-bored-parent’ are your favorites and some of the other host club members have picked up on it).
otherwise, when things get completely settled and you get into a routine, kyoya will take up teasing you relentlessly.
yep, he might even ignore the twins antics just to make sure that you are a vulnerable-ish target
and then he’ll attack.
it may be a simple verbal attack (”that’s very rich, coming from someone that cannot find a way to keep their mouth shut and their hands out of trouble.” “oh, shut it icicle.”)
or it may be something in which he would put a figurative cherry on top of the twins last prank
(read: he would actually put something on top of your head to finish it off. it gets the whole club into tears, aside from tamaki - he busy trying to contain any of the customers if they’re in the room.)
otherwise, intellect teasing comes with the job.
it’s a lot of cheesy chemistry-based pick up lines that kyoya will either follow along with or try not to walk out of the room.
either way, the banter is enough to keep the both of you content.
when it comes to tamaki, though...
yeah, he refuses to outright tease you.
and you know this, so you take advantage of it.
one day, you may actually tag team with the twins and go at him relentlessly.
“hey, tamaki, has that girl with the host-hopping disease come by lately?”
tamaki: emo corner mode
“hey, tamaki-”
“no, (y/n). not today, please. i don’t want to talk about her.”
“i wasn’t. i was gonna ask how the chase for haruhi was doing, you dolt.”
tamaki: emo corner.
haruhi: wtf, (y/n)
(if he does really get bothered by it (like, seriously bothered and upset), just remind him that this is all in good fun.)
otherwise, haruhi is a different story.
she is 100% willing to throw a monotonous comment at you if you were to ever shoot one at her.
want to tease her about her debt? great, she’ll shoot one at you about the uniform you destroyed in an attempt to get back at the twins.
tease her about her reactions? she’ll throw one right back at you about how your childishness “reeks and can be smelled from miles away.”
yeah, pretty fun when you have someone that isn’t afraid to pull something out of her big brain and throw out what she can take.
it’s mutual and it’s easily one of the most entertaining parts of your day.
from time to time, too, you share some teasing with mori.
yeah, he doesn’t speak much, but when it does get him to say something
yeah, you get ecstatic. you, simple (y/n) (l/n), got the takashi morinozuka to say something.
most of the time, it’ll be when you are trying to test your limits and throw out a few cheesy math pick-up lines at him in an attempt to gather a reaction.
“i heard you like math, so what’s the sum of u + me?”
“are you a 30 degree angle? because you are acute-y.”
“are you a square number, because my love for you is exponential.”

that last one got a small smile out of him and your ego just got boosted by ten.
yeah, stuff like that got you excited. honey-senpai enjoyed the show, as well.
on that note, you rarely teased honey-senpai to the extent of the others.
he was too sweet, you couldn’t bring yourself to do anything more than tease him about his cake of the day.
even then, it was very light.
typically something along the lines of, “honey-senpai, that’s the cake for today? i thought you didn’t like that flavor.”
“but, (y/n)-chan, they liked the cake! i hadn’t tried it before.”
“wow, really? pardon me saying this, but that’s new.”
yeah, the teasing and the complete demeanor between the two of you attracted more customers for the both of you, and you two would often work together when you had customers.
but, overall, teasing within the club is great on all fronts.
tamaki may falter a little bit, but he is very much for it otherwise. yeah, he won’t say anything, but the experience is great.
the other hosts enjoy your company as well, and from time to time, kyoya and tamaki will jump at the chance to praise you on your ability to attract customers (though the reasons will be different.)
so yeah, 10/10, definitely worth the relentless hours of annoyance they can cause. your ability to tease them keeps them in check when they need to be (in the case of the members that need that to be established).
Summary: This is the second addition to a series in which Y/N is dealing with chronic pain and receives comfort from her boyfriend. This time with Tamaki!
Burnt out didn't even cover a sliver of the state you were in. You'd been fidgeting all day due to your body having to ward off stubborn pain in your gut. Your doctor assumed it would be a wonderful idea to attempt to weem you off steroid painkillers since refills were hard to come by, and his office was half way across town. Not only that, but shifts at work were only getting longer, so making time to get their signature was narrow. Nearly impossible.
Your breath hitched, biting back a whine as you swayed on the train back home. Rush hour typically meant standing room only by the time you entered. Curse your morality for forcing yourself from the corner of a seat for an older man with a walker. Hell, if he had offered his walker in exchange (seeing as he wasn't using it sitting down) then maybe your bitterness would be sated. At least, you were headed back to your apartment. Finally you could...
Sharp stabbing ripped you from your thoughts. You squeezed your eyes shut, willing the sensation to subside with mental pleading instead. You were about to envision yourself resting before your body so rudely interrupted your daydream. Your hope, more like. It seemed that your best bet lay in praying for exhaustion to kickstart your unfulfilling rest, tonight. Thank God it's at least Friday.
You trudged through the door, breath uneven due to managing your splintering nerves. Light rustling drew your attention to the kitchen. Once you rounded the corner, you beheld a mountain for various groceries and boxes. It looked like an unboxing was taking place on your kitchen island. Tamaki peeked from behind the fridge, immediately cooing at your frazzled appearance. Without a word, he immediately doused you in a tight embrace.
"I'm proud of you," he whispered into the crown of your head.
You chuckled sardonically, "What gave it away?"
He hummed in thought," Most notably, the fact that you haven't been asking me out." He pulled back just enough to gaze into your eyes," It's been three weeks since our last date night,"
Shame colored your features. Had it really been that long? You guessed fighting for your life took precedent over a date. Though, lack of intimacy wasn't helping win the war, either. You sighed and apologized. His brow quirked at the sound of your fatigue, and he gently led you to the mess on the table. As he rummaged through the chaos, Tamaki distracted you with a question of his own.
"Would you like some tea? Maybe a movie?"
"I'd love to, but I'd rather not deal with light right now. Tea would be nice though,"
He offered a soft smile, taking your hand and placing a sack of bath bombs in it,"Go ahead and take a bath,"
The scene in the bathroom was, well, soft. A new rug and deep green plants hinted at an oasis rather than a tiny closet of a room. There were a few candles scattered about, with a box of matches lying against one candle sitting next to the sink. Fluffy towels hung on a rack adjacent to the tub, all of which in a complementary array of your favorite colors. You felt yourself tearing up at his efforts. Not only that, but you were determined that you would get through this, just for Tamaki.
