Garnet isn't always emotive, although some aspects of Ruby and Sapphire show through separately at times.
She tries to think rationally like Sapphire, but sometimes loses her cool like Ruby.
Most of the time Garnet is calm with her obsession.
You could throw a fit at her and she'll take it... only to scold you later.
As long as you don't try to hit her, she can tolerate your outbursts.
The only time I can see Garnet as romantic is a very rare case where she likes another Gem.
In that case she'd want to try fusion with them if it meant she could keep you with her.
She'd wait until you're ready, however.
But let's be honest, based on what we've seen in the show, she isn't interested in that with many.
She'd be more likely to protect you platonically because she sees you as family or a close friend.
Garnet is an unnerving yandere as you can't read her all the time.
She's deadpan towards most around you... including you at times.
There's times you'll want to hang out with others, like friends or maybe a partner of your own, only for Garnet to step in with an unreadable expression just to say one thing.
"No."
That's it, nothing else.
She's really good at shutting down things she doesn't want you doing.
There's times you're allowed to be with other people, she wants you to have some other bonds.
But she doesn't want you to ignore her completely.
I have a feeling you can't really argue with her, either.
She'd want her obsession to respect her and her decisions.
Essentially, you listen to her or she makes you if she feels it's for the best.
She's the type of yandere who would "mom" her darling.
She's usually level-headed so most of what you do won't break her composure.
She isn't always stern and stoic, though.
Sometimes she's genuinely caring, wanting to let you know she does care for you.
That she loves you.
She does what she does because she wants to cherish the bond you have with her.
After all, Garnet knows quite a bit about bonds.
Most of her obsession is this protective guardian role.
She tries to be very understanding with her obsession.
Due to the nature of Garnet viewing relationships as sacred, she wouldn't want to rush anything with her obsession.
Doing so would lose your trust.
She is fine with acting like a guardian to you, as a Crystal Gem she's used to such a thing.
She may be protective and stern... but she would want her obsession to come to her when they were ready.
She knows getting you to love her by force will only hurt you both.
Ruby may be overly eager about having you accept them, but Sapphire is careful to keep them both calm.
If you're a Gem then they try to be even more patient... Unstable fusion will hurt you even more.
Garnet, out of most Gems, is one of the more patient yanderes.
Bonds take time to develop and locking you away certainly won't help.
Ruby is no doubt the half that feels the most jealousy when they see you interact so well with others.
Sapphire knows they shouldn't be jealous of you having other people you enjoy.
Sapphire knows you'll come to them at some point and see they care...
They just need patience.
Although... they do fear you'll never come to them...
I can see Ruby and Sapphire splitting because of their differing beliefs throwing them out of sync.
They have different obsession types, which means if they get impatient... they can't be Garnet.
Ruby's scared you'll never love them the same way they do you.
Ruby wants to show you how much they care, to the point she may be too reckless and scare you off.
Meanwhile Sapphire fully believes in waiting.
She wants Ruby to calm down, to give you time.
You may be confused when you see the two out of fusion, concerned even.
Completely unaware that you are the reason they're having a fight.
Eventually the two may make up, both loving you and wanting you happy.
Sapphire has to calm Ruby's jealousy... but soon they'll be Garnet again, ready to give it another shot... hopefully.
Garnet would stick by you regardless of how you feel.
It's really hard for me to view her as toxic as Garnet herself is a pretty healthy relationship in my eyes.
She believes in love being comfortable for both parties and would wait years for you.
Even when she's impatient or jealous, she can usually calm herself down.
She's been around for years as Garnet, she'd wait as long as she had to in order to gain the affection of her obsession.
When you finally think you can be there for her, Garnet would welcome you with open arms.
Her most toxic traits are a subtle jealousy towards others along with being overprotective.
Anything more toxic causes Ruby and Sapphire to split until something resolves the issue.
I am struggling to make her toxic while being in character....
She'd do just about anything if it meant you'd be protected.
Protecting you is her way of loving you.
Her obsession could hate her and she'd probably still try to be encouraging with them.
Garnet may be intimidating... but she's actually one of the better yanderes in my eyes.
She mellows out both Ruby and Sapphire's traits which makes her pleasant to be around.
She seems controlling and overbearing, but genuinely cares for your feelings.
She'll let you take your time.
If you aren't hers in the end, then she'll maybe nudge you in the right direction.
If you're a Gem, she may offer fusion to show she cares for you... that she wants to include you.
If you're human, she protects you in whatever way she can.
She'd do anything to have you happy and protected.
Even breaking her composure if she sees you get hurt.
Garnet can be ruthless when protecting those she cares about.
Imagine if you see her shatter a Gem to protect you... or maybe have blood on her gauntlets.
She sees her overprotective tendencies as caring for you.
You may be scared of her, or maybe even hate her, but she's willing to wait...
If you're in danger, she'll isolate you with the rest of the Crystal Gems.
Even if you aren't in danger, she may still isolate you to prevent any potential danger.
She'll still give you your space, She'll even say she loves you... but you can't go out on your own.
She feels bad that you aren't happy all the time with her... If at all...
She hopes it will change... but...
As long as she has you in the end... and you're safe...
Then she'll accept loving you from afar... until she can't take it anymore, that is.

IT WAS SAID THAT DURING THE NIGHT OF YOUR BIRTH THE SUN WAS AT ITS HIGHEST POINT AND FULLEST BLOOM.
Its rays buried humanity under a blanket of heat and devastation. Fortunetellers would wax on and on of the disasters you would soon bring upon the world.
That was your experience in your first life.
Many could only wish of being born to a worldwide pop-star, but to you it was a reality. You resented those that vied for your place. How could they romanticize such a life when every single day was torture for you. Some predicted you to be world-class singer before your first cry. People knew you before you could even speak to them. Everyone already idolized you, expected you to do great things before you’d even learn the alphabet.
The pressure had already been insurmountable the moment you took your first breath.
Your second life was terrifying to say the least. It didn’t matter that way you died before, just the thought of experiencing the same motions again frightened you to your bones.
And so you pretended. A shining star to a dim moon that barely reflected any light. Ever so meticulously making sure none knew of your so called genius. The last thing you wanted was to be labeled a prodigy even with the more lax nature of your new family.

He lowered his face, nestled it right beside yours. You could swear he was breathing in your scent. “You looked anything but ‘not confident’ up on the stage.”
“Liar.” His hands then moved from the wall to encircle themselves around your body; his face to your the top of your head and nose between your hair. Yet even in this tight embrace you still felt chills down your spine. “I scare you don’t I? You were worried that I would stop you like I did with her.”

“No, I understand you. You just wanted to keep her safe and I—“
“Not for that.” He pushed himself away for a couple of moments, and for that short amount of time you were ashamed to say that you felt utterly relieved until— “This.”

You’ve seen Aqua kiss Akane before. Both on and out of camera. You respected their relationship despite knowing of how unhealthy it truly is. They’d eventually break up and things would go smoothly you thought.
Pfft, as if. You knew shit would hit the fan. You were just too much of a coward to get in his way. Akane could suffer for all you care, she chose to date your psychopath of an adoptive brother anyways.
But you didn’t expect him to fall for you.
He never seem interested. Despite your mother telling you time and time again that Aqua cared deeply about you, you just couldn’t see it.
He was the deep, dark ocean. You were at the highest point of the sky, sailing across the cosmic sea. There was no way you two could meet eye to eye much less love normally.
You did the only thing your body could muster at the moment and slapped him.
“You’re right. You are a horrid brother.”
As you ran away, sobbing, Aqua couldn’t help but feel aroused.
Oh, how charming you looked with tears streaking down your cheeks.
It felt like hours when you first started crying nonstop. You never cried in your original life. You had no time or energy to. You never expected that your second, mundane life would be the one that shattered you.

Ruby arrived far earlier than you expected as well. Her schedule that day should have had her busy til midnight but you had the feeling Aqua told her what he’d done.

“Ssshhh…” Ruby silenced you with a kiss to the forehead.
“Why would he do that— he - he has a girlfriend.” You stuttered and hiccuped throughout your speech, still crying as hard as you did back then.
“Do you really think he loves her?”

Ruby brought you up to her shoulder, massaging your back in a circular motion. “Trust me, nothing will change. He loves you very much. We both love you. You never knew she had the capability to be this comforting in a mature sort of way. She always radiated a loud vibration; refreshing most of the time, though it did get tiring.
Never have you been afforded this kind of consolation. It was always you against the world. Being reminded that there are other stars in the sky beside you gave you a strange sense of solace. An odd variety of relief borne out of being insignificant in the sky.
“This incident just means he loves you in a different way alright?”

“You should thank me. I left them all vulnerable for you.” Aqua spoke, his right hand quickly moved across his laptop’s keyboard and his left held a can of Monster.
“You felt it too didn’t you?” Ruby exhaled. It took a while to get you to lull you into sleep; a necessary step to have the conversation she was partaking in.
“Yeah. . . I did.” Aqua took a sip from his drink, his starry eyes laser focused on the recording of your performance. He had set up several fan accounts and gotten footage from all sorts of angles. He couldn’t wait for your next stage. May it be from sheer excitement or the caffeine in his blood, but the man was absolutely shaking all over over in anticipation. “We have a second chance, don’t mess things up.”
“I should be saying that to you. Break up with Akane by next week. And be careful with how forward you are with your feelings.”
“Already done.” Aqua held up his phone without breaking moving his head at all, in his phone were a few texts between him and a panicking Akane. “and no promises”
Ruby sighed one last time that night, leaning her head back to your bedroom door. “. . . You were right.”

Not to mention that the first words she said after your revelation was an order to get rid of your family's heads, with the exception of your dear brother Lorenzo.
After a few heads rolling and your distance to her, she tried to guilt trip you. She did so much for you, why are you so.. ungreateful! She murdered people for you, the ones who wronged you, and yet you're still avoiding her!
All she ever did was to make your life easier, like you did to hers! She just returned the favor and yet you're making it seem like she did something bad.
Ruby's lovesick lover instantly saw that change in his wife, her desperation. He waited, waited for her to open up to him, yet when she never did he decided to finally confront her in their shared bedroom, much to her's dissatisfaction, as she'd rather share a bed with you.
And that's when she bursts out in tears, screaming her frustrations out into Izek's arm, crying about how you're avoiding her, giving her cold stares, which you don't, and keeping a huge distance, while pretending you don't know her.
Next thing you know, you're forbidden from leaving your room and contacting anyone other than Ruby. She was the only one to communicate with, eat your meal with and the one to spend time with.
And you couldn't do anything about it, after all you lived in the Van Omerta's Household, where Ruby was the Duchess, and her husband, Izek Van Omerta the Duke.
You really should've expected that, after all there is not a single thing this man won't do for his wife. The consequences of your actions are gonna follow you for a long time, in your room with the reason for your 'arrest' always smiling happily by your side.

Ruby would be amazed. At first her brain and mouth would be working a mile a minute as she asks you questions. Like if they were always that powerful or if they’d been more like her at first. Even if you tell her that they’ve just always been like that and you’re not sure if hers could be too, Ruby’s amazement wouldn’t dampen at all. She’d also be terrified though knowing that if anyone finds out about your eyes that Salem would likely try to kill you. Ruby would definitely kidnap you to protect you. She swears that as soon as they’ve defeated Salem and you’re safe that she’ll let you go. Hopefully she’ll keep her promise.
Qrow
Qrow also knows that this could put a target on your back with Salem. Unlike Ruby though he wouldn’t kidnap you. I actually think he’d do the opposite and stay far away from you. Maybe entrusting you to one of his most trusted friends. He doesn’t want his semblance to give you bad luck and make it so Salem finds out about you. It kills him to think about you all alone and held by someone else but he knows it’s for the best. He’ll be even more determined to defeat Salem now.
Pyrrha
Pyrrha would of course thinks that you’re incredible but she’s always thought that you were incredible. She wouldn’t make a big deal out of it although she would be reassured knowing that you had a really good way to protect yourself if anything happened. I think she’d be a bit more outwardly amazed if you ever used your eyes to save her. Not only did you save her but wow you really are the most incredible person she’s ever met.
Jaune
Jaune is almost as excited as Ruby. He was/is a bit of a comic book nerd so he knows his fair share of super heroes. He’s comparing you to them right away but eventually he gives up because you’re way too cool to be any of them. Begs you to show him how they work. Jaune would be your #1 fan. I think if you didn’t want people to know then Jaune would probably have a journal or something just to write about you and if people do know then Jaune would constantly be talking you up. No matter what relationship you two truly have Jaune will make it out as if you’re deeply in love and he’s your closest confidant.
Salem
Salem would be conflicted. On one hand I think she’d like a darling that’s closer to her level but on the other, you’re one of the few beings who could possibly kill her. She’d have to find a way to neautralize your eyes before she’d ever meet you. Salem would probably try to come up with some magical or technological way for awhile but eventually when she’s tried everything she can think of it’d get dark. She’d take your eyes as a last resort. Salem would coo as you cried and hold you while you shook, using her magic to take away your pain. She’d assure you that everything would be ok, that she was so sorry and that she’d never hurt you again. Salem wouldn’t feel all that bad because what other choice did she have? She’ll get you some new eyes wether magical or technological and everything will be ok.

Ruby is an obsessive fangirl but she'll stop at nothing to keep cheering you on.
