I dislike game 1 Diana, we all know this, but... she clocked Damien so hard with that "Human fetish" comment and it is never brought up again.
Listen, I love Damien. He is my fav... but he glorify humans too much.
And I understand why. For the most part, demons treated him horribly. His brothers were kind but that was because they were brothers. There's no indication that they extended this level of kindness to the rest of the servants or slaves. The first person who showed him completely baseless kindness was Harold.
Diana mentioned that Harold painted an idealistic picture of humans and from then on Damien became obsessed with them. And I mean, it sounds accurate. He didn't wish to be rid of his mind reading. He wanted to be human. There's also that line from Demon War that he says: "She's a human, pure and perfect."
Hell, he's willing to go through a never before done procedure after losing his mind reading just to be human. My man is OBSESSED.
And to be fair, Diana didn't help with this obsession. Of all of game 1's cast, she did Damien the dirtiest by making him relive his worst memories right in front of his new girlfriend. All to bait him into giving up his brother under the guise of "protecting" his girlfriend from his own powers. She is a very good example of the asshole demons that Damien hates.
I kinda wish it was talked about more. Cause it's giving internalized self-hatred. I guarantee yall that if this man sat down, kept his mind reading off, got some therapy from an escaped demon or something and actually was able to process the mountains of trauma he faced, he would have come to the conclusion that what he actually wants is to lose the mind reading (or at least be able to control it) and get basic respect and dignity from his peers.
I agree that Damien is obsessed with humanity. However, I do not agree that getting rid of his mind reading would fix this obsession. Um, if I can quote your own words from a previous post here.
“He doesn't have ANYTHING OF HERS that he treasures; there is NOTHING OF HER LEFT WHEN SHE IS GONE. If you completely cut the scene that showed that she died, you'd never know that she died or how Damien feels about her at all."
Damien’s mother gave him mind-reading abilities and his sex demon powers. These are abilities he cannot turn off or escape from. This is even proven in Seduce Me 2, when Damien is forced to face the reality that he cannot escape his genetics. He will always be a demon. Damien is his mother's regret, trap, and hatred born into flesh.
2nd part in a following reblog because talking about his mother's abuse is heavy.
When Damien's mother killed herself in front of him, she was sending a message. "I refused to be tied to the man who raped me." Damien's existence was a traumatic mistake that his mother was forced to face every day. This even included when he would innocently ask her questions about what was going on. Recall she even tried to kill Damien. Why? The Demon Lord used Damien's birth to remind Damien's mother of how her defiance could be used against her. Pregnancy could not prevent future rapes. They would keep happening so long as she lived, and each child would be raised under his rule. This meant that her children might become just like their father. Others never saw Damien as an individual; they saw his power and his relation to the Demon Lord, even his own mother.
Damien's trauma is not related to hating his gender, hating other genders, or hating his parents. His trauma is hatred for his own existence and genetics! He does not in any way, shape, or form want to be a demon. I do not believe therapy, medication, potions, or magic can change a being's base genetics. Unless someone headcanons a universe where beings can, but then, like, that would be erasing their previous selves, so Damien probably wouldn't fall for MC/Mika. That aside. The reality of his birth and mother's death is something Damien carries for life.
Hence, when Seduce Me 2 rolls around and Diana's deal is revealed as faulty, Damien loses it! Damien's genetics pulled him back into the Abyssal Plains and are putting his new wife in danger! If only he wasn't related to the Demon Lord, none of this would be happening.
He would not have been born. He would not have witnessed his mother die, he would not have been waiting for someone to get him out of his situation, and he would not have tasted love. Damien did not need to be reminded he resembles regret incarnate. He believed Diana because he wanted to have hope one more time. Just as he did with Harold. What he forgot was a demon can never be anything but a demon.
Humans like Harold and Mika showed Damien compassion. Humans can learn, love, adapt, and accept others' differences. They did not use logic like demons. Humans reacted through emotions and feelings. He is not saying they aren't evil; what he is saying is they aren't conditioned to hate and think rationally all the time like a demon. They are pure and perfect from birth. Unlike himself. A being born from trauma, bathed with misery, and tainted with black marks displaying the fights in his life. After this assessment, I don't think he is wrong for his view about humans.
I see that I am too late XD but I decided why not ask anyway? Was the Demon Lord a dictator, or just a terrible ruler? He gives off a dictator kind of vibe from what I've seen in Seduce Me 1 and 2, but I'm not exactly sure :/
He was an overlord; an unmerciful ruler with a sword in his iron fist.
He killed and raped for fun and loved to flaunt his power in the most brutal ways possible.
The brothers were raised watching their father's actions and could have become the same. Their escape to the human world gave them a second chance to become someone else. However, what people seem to forget is that no matter how far you run, how you were raised affects how you react to the world around you. Even if you attempt to challenge it, your blood remembers.
The brothers did not grow up with fatherly care, and their mothers did not seem to treat them well either. The possible exception was probably Sam's mom, who taught him self-respect and pride. However, before Damien, probably Matthew's mother obsessed over her son, too. *But like in an "I'm gonna make my son the best man alive" kind of way, making him into a husband/emotional support (boy mom). Although this could just be my headcanon about Matthew's mom.
Anyway, James was an investment; the rest were replacements. If the brothers happened to pass away, the Demon Lord could give one of the wives a physical body and breed again. <https://vamichaelalaws.tumblr.com/post/170897030071/hypothetical-question-back-when-the-boys-still>
So the brothers legitimately did not know and could not fully grasp human love until Mika taught them through example.

Implied Narrative, Part 2
Now, I mentioned in my other post about the boys being pioneers based on the quote below.
“The first succubus is an honorable queen. According to my studies, she actually was the heir to the castle the Demon Lord now reigns. It’s quite humourous that she decided to give her kingdom to that brute instead of taking the mantle herself, but I have a firm belief that she was an anarchist demon who wanted to give opportunities to males. Foolish mistake, in my opinion, but an opinion is an opinion. From what the retired servants tell me, she was cold and extremely militaristic as well, which only juxtaposes her anarchic behavior. However, she raised the kingdom well and, on the birth of the Demon Lord’s first son, became a perfect mother of a soon to be king. Hehe if by perfect you meant strict and controlling, then you’ll have hit the nail in the coffin." -quote from the Grand Library of Yggdrasil.
*Below are some stories related to what Matthew might have experienced with his mother.

Greetings, person I do not know! Do you mind answering this question?
How do I label my fan fictions? Are they considered snippets, one-shots, ficlets, or something else?
I usually write pieces between 100 and 4,000+ words. Currently, I identify some of my writings as one-shots (a piece that can stand alone or has a conclusion of sorts) or snippets (content where I zoom into a moment then zoom out).
To clarify, I ask because I want to respect people who use Archive Of Our Own and have their own work length definitions. I came from a time when FanFiction. Net used to look something like this:
"Sandwich sat on the ground waiting for Mr. Peanut Butter. They planned to go on a date together because the weather was too nice not to appreciate. The wind felt wonderful against Sandwich's starchy face. He hoped that Mr. Peanut Butter liked their choice of honey ham accessories.
[after a space, insert the next 3-4 sentences.] "
I hope I made sense; I'm just referencing the content within the fandom that I followed at the time. Granted, there were more intensive pieces on FF.net, but I just don't have the willpower to create novels. All my ideas come straight from my head onto paper/the internet or get forgotten. Now, please understand I am not aiming to be a great writer. I just want to respect the fanbases on the different websites I applied to.
I have seen someone else reference a site called Fanlore when defining drabbles. On Fanlore it says a "drabble" is a work that counts words by 100s; please check the link here. If I follow Fanlore definitions, then I guess my works count as snippets or vignettes?
Are there any other labels or descriptions I should know going forward?
The brothers in seduce me really don't act like brothers, and it's one of my biggest pet peeves. Like, "yes trust I would die for these guys they're my family we all left the demon world together and stuck together because of how much we love each other no matter what we will not be separated." And then they all spend most of the games at each other's throats, ESPECIALLY if we're gonna look at Matthew and Sam. Like I get the silly sibling bickering, but it reaches a point where it's like, there's no positive interaction here only negative. AND DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE PRINCE VS THE BRUTE GOD THAT EPISODE MAKES ME SO MAD
Anyways, there's my little yap for the day, might go in more depth later
In SMTO, Sam states something along the lines of him and his brothers being essentially replacements for James. Imagine only being compared to someone who was, from the outside, perfect. Imagine realizing that once the person at the top falls, you would be forced to take their role and fill their shoes. Sam saw that the current standard of the Abyssal Plains hurt others, so he wanted no part in the current society. Therefore, the brothers' relationship goes far beyond sibling rivalry. They are demons. Their nature being brutes makes them fight. Can we all understand that maybe fighting is their method of showing they care? Who else can understand their rage and provide a safe source of energy to demon royalty? Again, they are royalty! This means everyone else is typically seeking to kill them in order to gain a reaction out of the Demon Lord! We'll talk about him later. Their family dynamics display the cutthroat culture of the Abyssal Plains.
Now, I would have to go into lore for this, but the main thing is the sex demon society places women as the head, not men. The Demon Lord was an outlier because his wife, the First Queen, James's mother, wanted to treat him as an equal. The problem was power got to his head as a brute, and he wanted more. Thus, the brothers would have been male sex demon royalty who pioneered a new gender into leadership. The Demon Lord never cared for his children, but he wanted the security of having them around. In SM2, Matthew's Route, the Demon Lord can push Matthew's madness to ensure the Demon Lord's ideals are carried into future generations.
The Prince and the Brute displays how two demon brothers who grew up in the same society choose to adapt and identify in the human world.
James wants to be seen as the perfect prince in control of every situation and person. When the reality is he does not have that power unless others give him that power. Granted, yes, one can argue he can make others yield. But enthrallment cannot force people to do what they do not want to do. James does not have Diana's power of suggestion; he is a half-breed. Take for instance when he observes Mika's hit cheek. He asks but does not expect her to answer. However, he knows from experience that others often feel pressured to explain themselves when questioned. Verbal confrontation or questions force others to expose their vulnerable thoughts and place them into words. The other methods James knows are using force or taking someone's life (not just as a brute but as a soul eater). Violence is a brute demon trait all the brothers share. Sam just happens to express it more than the rest.
Sam has been called a monster all his life and at his current age sees no other way to identify. So he plays into his brutish nature, becoming what he believes other people think he is. This perception does not change despite coming into the human world. Mika is the first person to challenge this because she forgives him, she does not label him as a monster, and she understands his rough demeanor is all he knows. She doesn't fight back and instead watches. Meeting his anger with an aggression that calms quickly. Mika is someone he and his brothers are not used to. It highlights their unfamiliarity with human mentality.
For now, I will end there, but I hope everyone can see the brothers' dynamics have depth shown in the game. Which is why I kind of find it a little frustrating that SMTO is a visual novel and not a story. Like, it would have had so much more impact and could have been a damn series I would have read in the library. Do you know how many reverse harem physical books have wolves? Like wolf harems everywhere! Unfortunately book demons are too greedy to share humans, and it shows in SMTO as well.
TRIGGER WARNING: suicide attempt. Vague miscarriage or abortion.

Damien hated the idea that Mika wanted to be dating everyone all at once. He could hear everyone’s insecurity, and he often needed more comfort than the rest. Erik, Matthew, and Sam were hiding their vulnerability well enough to let Damien cling to Mika when she was around. Damien was like a very clingy cat, especially when he and Mika were alone. He could often be found resting his head on Mika’s legs as she worked at a desk, on the couch, or in bed. Unlike Matthew, Damien didn’t follow Mika to the bathroom.
Matthew had a habit of talking so much that he followed Mika everywhere. Not even the bathroom was off-limits! If you wanted a man who knew every single smell Mika could produce, Matthew was your guy. That fact alone should be disturbing, but the brothers never questioned it. They understood Mika was their shared person. How they expressed their affections was none of the others' business.
Damien, on the other hand, felt like a puppet on a shelf. When alone he yearned for Mika because anything she did brought color to his world. Anything she wanted, he made sure she got, even if that meant "asking" his brothers to get it. Damien knew Mika felt bad about abusing his mind powers, but doing anything for her was his purpose. After all, his love rivals were his brothers.
Mika once said she loved all of his brothers for different reasons. Her indecisiveness made all of them, including Mika, insecure. Thus, the dinner table became a space where everyone could express themselves. James and Erik often were voices of reason, followed by Matthew, in their ability to diffuse arguments. Erik was less domineering than James, offering his time in exchange so one of his brothers could spend more time with Mika. Erik habitually sacrificed his own heart for his loved ones. Whenever James or Erik got caught up in work, Mika often sought Matthew for advice. Matthew often threw back any questions Mika asked, allowing her space to find her own conclusions. Sam and Damien were Mika's strong arms who held her whenever she wanted to pop. Each of the brothers did their best with Mika. Yet, something ate at her, and Damien knew about it. His own little secret that made him indispensable to their relationship.
Damien wanted to prove his value in their relationship. Damien chose part-time employment at places he knew Mika could frequent. Outside of the house, Damien always kept an eye on Mika. One of his jobs was at a library near Mika's high school, another at a flower shop near the mansion, and the last as an at-home freelance children's author. He was passionate about sharing material with children who could not afford to attend school. When Mika taught Damien to read and write, he became obsessed with writing Mika's name on his skin in places only she could find. Anyway, he took on jobs so Mika didn't overwork herself for daily necessities and bills.
Despite Damien's best efforts to support her, Mika's mind got worse. She struggled to keep up with school, work, and their poly relationship. Damien knew something was wrong. But he did not want to lose the connection they had or his position against his brothers. He often told them being around her was enough because she never verbally admitted her stress. Mika always claimed she was ok. Truthfully, Damien did not want to acknowledge Mika's decline because he believed it would prove he failed to love her. The changes in Mika were subtle, but the brothers noticed even without Damien's confirmation. Yet, like Damien, they refused to admit it because they all believed they held her secret.
One night Damien was lying on Mika’s legs as she wrote in a notebook for her class and a to-do list. Mika had the thought again, and Damien looked up at her with sad eyes. He begged her not to as he reached for her face.
"Mika, please…” Damien said. His voice was a silent plea willing her thoughts away.
Mika gave a sad smile and held Damien’s hand close. “Damien, I just need to pee.”
Damien looked into her thoughts. Mika's mind was filled with cursing herself for drinking too much water. Maybe she really just needed to pee. He reluctantly got up from his position to sit up and let her go. He watched her enter the bathroom and heard her lock the door.
He waited.
His mind searching hers and ears trained to her movements. In the past, Damien promised himself that he would never walk in on Mika's bathroom time. However, the fact the flush of the toilet took so long caused Damien's concern to rise. He could use his powers to break down the door, but Mika would get upset, and James would want an explanation. Maybe she was just taking longer than normal; her thoughts seemed fine. She was thinking about her grandfather and a beautiful garden. Damien could not sit still.
Mika's mind filled with pain, worry, defeat, and loss. The weight of it all caused Damien to falter. But he pushed forward. Damien rushed down the stairs faster than most humans, but not at the speed of his older brother, Sam. Sam and Mika shared shower time together to "save water," Sam often said. If Sam were here, Mika would not be in the bathroom alone. Damien's mind was a mess. He knew a kitchen cabinet stored different door keys for whenever they took family trips and needed to lock up the mansion. The cabinet also stored spare keys for when someone locked others out of rooms to enjoy private time alone. Damien just needed to recall which key he required.
As Damien tried to remember which key looked like that bathroom key, Mika’s thoughts became softer. He ran out of time. Damien surged forward, keys forgotten, and called his brothers as he ran back upstairs. The first brother he summoned was Sam. The only brother whose raw thoughts matched his actions and someone who quickly came to his defense. Sam arrived within a few seconds, following Damien to Mika’s bathroom door.
“Her thoughts are softer now. She said she wanted to go to the bathro—" Damien said, but was cut off by Sam pulling him away from the door.
Sam knew, and Damien couldn't even blame him for being upset right now. Sam used a portion of his powers to push against the door, causing the doorjamb to break. But the door did not open fully; Mika's body seemed to be blocking it from the other side! He could hurt her.
“Shit. Did you call the others?” Sam asked
As if on cue, James and Erik rushed into the room with various levels of confusion and distress.
"What’s going on?” James said evenly.
“Mika's body is blocking the door. My powers might hurt her." Sam said,
"Erik, can you cast a shield over her?" James asked
"Already on it, dear brother," Erik said.
"And Matthew?" Sam asked, crossing his arms and watching Erik's magic.
"He said he'd call an ambulance. Hospitals can give her blood to replace any she lost. "James said.
Sam huffed and then noticed Erik's signal. Sam understood, took a step back, and kicked forward so his foot hit near the lock. With one kick the heavy wooden door snapped in half as if it were a breaking board. He quickly followed by pulling the bottom board off its hinge. Erik followed up by summoning a tentacle to lift Mika through the debris. There were several cuts.
She had too much time alone.
Blood. That's what they noticed. Everywhere.
Sam quickly ripped up blankets to apply to Mika's wounds. Erik seemed to be mumbling something over Mika. Matthew's voice rang out, heralding the presence of the emergency medical technician. Erik dismissed the tentacles cradling Mika's body close as if keeping her warm. The soft thoughts of Mika dunked Damien's mind further into chaos. It was an apology.
"No! Please! Mika!" Damien said, and Sam held him back.
"Breathe. James will go with her. She'll be fine," Sam said.
"...Lies," Damien muttered, then his mind remembered something else. "The baby!"
"The what!" Sam said,
Damien pushed against Sam but couldn't move. "Move! They need to see the baby!"
Sam looked confused and let Damien go. Damien rushed to the bathtub with Sam hot on his heels. He carefully lifted a bundle of towels into his arms.
Within the wrapped towels was a frame, much too small to survive outside of the womb. Mika's body couldn't carry the child to term, or she removed it herself. Damien couldn't tell anymore. What he wanted to believe and what he knew was true made his mind spin. Mika was not ready, but she would never do this. Did she fear she couldn't take care of the child together with five other people? Or did she push herself into believing she owed them all children? Maybe one of his brothers convinced her they would keep her as a breeding bitch. After all, each of them was capable of enthralling her and molding her just for them. It was in their nature. He couldn't even fight the desire himself; he was just as bad. Damien felt sick.
He handed the bundle to Sam, begging for his brother to take it. Sam did gently, studying the curious form. Damien tried to hold back from vomiting but could not and found himself hunched over the tub.
Sam's big hand could encompass the form; it was so small. A single, almost formed eye stared back at him. He knew Mika wasn't ok, but he did not expect this. Tears formed but never fell as he acknowledged the other two brothers who returned.
"We need to tell James," Erik whispered.
"I think he's had his suspicions," Matthew mumbled.
It seems the brothers forced themselves into autopilot mode to clean the bathroom. Erik took over holding the bundle as Sam left to update James. The brothers' disbelief about everything threw them back into their memories of the Abyssal Plains. Fighting to survive and death were common occurrences back then. Now, those experiences were returning in new ways. However, in this instance, all of them were convinced they could have done more. Spoke up sooner! Anything was better than wondering if your lover would come out alive or if your relationship could last after such an intimate loss. Deep down, the brothers knew their time with Mika would never be the same.

ASIDE: I think one of the biggest points preventing me from making this short better is that the feelings get too real. Now, I must address this: people who attempt suicide are crying for help. There are resources online and around Tumblr. Just make sure to reach out to someone; if not for your sake, then for someone else's.
At this point in life, I should learn people write comments to rage bait others. Hell, when I first started, I got into an argument with Yogospin on AO3 when they did not ask my opinion. I started it. Their stories are cool; if you have an account, you should check them out.
"In the Place Of" by Yoyogospin.<https://archiveofourown.org/works/55190284/chapters/139971541> SUMMARY: This is a story about Mika watching Sam beat up Diana in Seduce Me 2 the Demon War. 1 chapter posted.
ASIDE 1: Also, if you comment that I was a dense asshole on their story, I know. My age does not mean I am mature. However, it is not a reason for me to hide my mistakes. I will accept my faults, especially when confronted bluntly that I am hurting them. If I agree, then I apologize and leave it up to them to forgive me. As some have done in the fandom in the past, feel free to block me. It's an option.
Anyway, I am writing this ramble because this is twice on Tumblr. I have seen others complain to authors about lack of content/creativity. First off, what's stopping you from creating your own fanfiction? Are you too busy, do you find it easy to pass on the load to someone else, or are you ready to put down the fandom to seek darker interests? My point is this: half/a majority of fan fiction writers rise because they want something others have not created. Then write.
After all, if you are bold enough to share your opinion, maybe someone else is just as hungry as you. That's why horny jail has many cages around the internet. There are people out there who, despite the real-world struggles, want to read the pain, gore, and whatever else I lack the imagination to write. They don't want a backstory where characters are redeemed or thought out. They want the character to bleed, die, get R***, get beaten, and watch the character's mind break until they are but a shell of themselves. Personally, as I have said to @nattythebanshee, I and dark topics don't mix well. Like, they don't come out right because I use fantasy mainly to avoid pain, not explore it. Does that mean I discourage others from theorizing or prevent them from writing? If I'm pissed off enough, yeah, I do. But people can write whatever they like even if I don't agree. My point is this: if you look at the Seduce Me Community from far away, you cannot see the pain people write about, but I do.
People ask for comfort characters in most asks. Like, it's upsetting that people ask how the brothers would comfort a suicidal reader. Fans in the real world are in pain mentally, emotionally, and physically! Seduce Me fans, even in THE ASK TAG, were seeking a safe space to date a couple of people for a few minutes to escape. But let's ignore these people for a minute to show there are others using their pain/general angst to write for Seduce Me.
Also, let's collectively take a minute to appreciate these stories. Not all of them are finished, but they were posted for the fandom and tried to use darker themes. Feel free to write and add to the fandom through reblogs, comments, or fanfictions (any platform). If you choose to add anything, please remember the criteria for dark is...
There are no happy endings here.

WordPress.com post "Dog Bed Diary" (I attempted to use the full concept from @prettypinkpup in the second half/after the 3rd separation line.)
Genres: Hurt/Comfort
Characters:
Uriah Coronel. Story age 22.
Matthew Anderson (Seduce Me the Otome). Age 21.
SNIPPETS related to prompt
"Matthew praised Uriah with gentle caresses and kisses along his exposed skin...Matthew kissed Uriah’s cheeks and shoulders, expressing how the blush Uriah applied made him adorable. Matthew wondered if Uriah would apply blush to his nipples next if he played with them today and then gave them a gentle pinch.... Matthew mused that Uriah’s soft torso was like a plush toy as his hand stroked Uriah’s belly... He claimed Uriah’s body was proof of his family’s loving care and that he wished to continue the tradition."
I might revisit this again to rewrite the scenes, but it's been a month in progress! I felt bad because I had specific ideas, but I found them hard to execute in writing.
I have found myself deep in a rabbit hole of trying to make what we know about demon heritage and powers make biological sense.
I have figured out the simplest system that allows for the variety of demon types we see in the Seduce Me games. I'm sharing what I hope is an intelligible summary of the most important bits (but feel free to DM me if you would like to nerd out about this with me).
The genes that make one a Demon of Lilith are dominant over most other demon types. Therefore, even though most demons of Lilith in the demon king’s realm are very distant descendants of Lilith, their offspring will also tend to be incubi and succubi.
There are two (main) genetic loci which control demon type. One acts as a switch for Demon of Lilith powers. If a dominant Demon of Lilith gene is inherited the offspring will become incubi and succubi. The second allows for continuous variations from all other demonic types. Given the segregated nature of demonic society, most demonic types do not have much history of interbreeding. Demons of Lilith are the exception, they are a royalty class, and they mate with high social ranks from each of the demonic tribes. It’s thought that Imps are the result of too much inter-type breading leading to demons without clear demon powers related to one of the mains types.
James, Erik, and Damien inherited one copy of the Brute allele from their father, and one demonic allele from their mother (Soul Eater, Dream Eater, Shadow respectively) in addition to their dominant Demon of Lilith gene. Thus, they are incubi with powers that reflect their heritage. They co-express their demonic heritage from their mothers with slightly increased strength and reflexes from their Brute father.
Matthew’s mother is a pure-blooded succubus (at least insofar as she carries two dominant genes). Matthew inherited two dominant alleles as well. This double dominance means the ‘pure blooded’ have greater Demons of Lilith powers but do not strongly express secondary powers from any other demon type. Therefore, Matthew does not have access to the Brute buff the rest of his brothers possess. There is a rumor that distant Fae blood is responsible for he and his mother’s sky-blue taint and general dispositions.
Sam is a somewhat rare case in that he co-expresses Brute demon and Incubi traits (making him capable of feeding off sexual and rage energies). Brute demons need two copies of brute genes to become full brute demons that can feed off rage energy. Sam got one Brute gene and one dominant Demon of Lilith gene from each parent. Genetically, two copies of the Brute gene are dominant relative to only one copy of the Dominant Lilith gene (This is the case with the Demon King), but with two copies of both Sam is a bit of an oddity in fully expressing both sets of genetics. Dragons are a whole separate ball of wax but suffice it to say that Sam is a hybrid and his demon half is both brute and incubus.
Special thanks to @new-tella-us and @nelcorecreations for answering some lore questions for me!
To the original poster, I am reblogging so I don't lose topics I am interested in.
Anyway, I am currently writing about Matthew (he's fighting me), and I also think he is part fey. Parfait. Get it? Haha. Ok, never mind. When I write, I try to understand the character. So I referred to Matthew's height, demeanor, and appearance. I know Misses Laws said one of her inspirations was DnD, and Forgotten Realms Wiki is a free resource. Below are some links from Seduce Me Ask Lore that I know.
Aezera, Matthew’s mother, has a more convoluted bloodline than she claims. Reference: https://vamichaelalaws.tumblr.com/post/171085270971/this-is-a-three-part-question-1-are-all OR https://thegrandlibraryofyggdrasil.tumblr.com/post/141911301415/the-queens-of-the-demon-lord
Matthew's height recorded in Seduce Me Asks on February 20, 2015, is 5'5. Then on February 28, 2015, Matthew is noted as 5'6. (5' https://vamichaelalaws.tumblr.com/post/111565788881/what-are-the-exact-heights-for-the-incubi OR (5'6) https://vamichaelalaws.tumblr.com/post/112329089366/what-are-the-incubi-boys-height-i-am-going-to
Matthew only fights when in danger or losing control. https://vamichaelalaws.tumblr.com/post/152743218401/as-someone-who-loved-sm1-i-was-kind-of
How does this translate to finding his bloodline? Well, height is genetic, meaning Matthew's ancestors were probably short. So my immediate thoughts were of dwarves. However, Forgotten Realms only has one dwarf type that is part demon, the Durzagon. Appearance-wise, Durzagons are bald red guys with beards. While Matthew looks more human, and his traits give him blue markings. Next I found the Aasimar and Fey'ri folk. Aasimars I ruled out because these are known as part human and celestial. Even if we claim Matthew may be part human, I don't think he would be part celestial for a few reasons.
WARNING: POSSIBLY TRIGGERING!!
Facts from lore (let me know if I'm wrong):
1. Saero never made a comment about Matthew's relatives.
2. He struggles hard against madness.
3. Humans are slaves or killed in the Abyssal Plains. Meaning his bloodline could only live in a very tiny community or escape to the human world.
ASIDE: One could headcanon that Matthew is a very diluted human. But they MUST make his human ties a shared secret with those in his legacy. This can be written into the backstory, like why he seeks out Damien & refuses to talk about his mother. However, this would not be a canonically accurate backstory.
REFOCUS: I believe Matthew only sought out baby Damien because of conflicting feelings. Damien is a child, and Matthew cannot blame him for being born. However, Matthew may have secretly wanted to get rid of him. Except this can only be explained if we blow sibling rivalry to the extreme.
Anyway, I ended up back on the drawing board looking for beings in Forgotten Realms who interact with demons. As I mentioned, the other class is Fey'ri. They are a mix of sun elves and demons. Fey'ri can only reproduce with other fey'ri, elves, half-elves, or fae. The D&D Wiki implies Fey'ri probably have success with Tieflings, too. Appearance-wise, Fey'ri have very branch-like horns. So Matthew would either be a family genetic mutation or diluted Fey'ri. Being an eleven relative would explain Matthew's height, magic affinity, and black hair. An honorable mention that I found during my journey was the Forgotten Realms humanoid Brownie.
Brownies would never be with a demon because of their good nature. But they get along with humans, dwarves, and elves. They are passive unless threatened and fight with short swords. Brownies are known for their bright blue eyes and brown hair. The only problem is that Brownies are noted as 2 ft tall. Meaning Matthew would be a distant relative.
SUMMARY: This is a snippet of fanfiction. You play the role of Pearly Anderson, a 15-year-old aspiring writer. She is the daughter of James Anderson, the eldest incubus from Seduce Me The Otome.

THE ORIGINAL Version 1
Father Read (Your) FanFiction
INSPIRATION: Tumblr user thememedaddy screenshotted a post from Twitter/X. The original Twitter/X username emilykmay posted saying, "My dad would read teen books as they were becoming popular... he read the entire Twilight saga before I did... [he said], 'You can read it if you want; it's really weird.' "
James was the eldest and tallest out of his 5 brothers. He played the role of father figure for years using the knowledge from books, strings of patience, and luck. So he felt confident in his theoretical ability to rear children. Raising children means protecting them against and preventing exposure to various forms of harm. That also means parents need enough discipline to enforce punishments. Although after having his own spawn, James often took time to process what he experienced. Parenting books are not instruction manuals and do not contain detailed indexes for unexpected situations.
Such unexpected situations involve teenagers and their ability to exemplify why "strange" is in the dictionary. Being an avid reader, James concluded that some forms of writing should never be opened in the presence of others. To prevent his children from viewing such content, he created a "Father Knows Best" rule. The rule stated that all written media must be filtered through him first before consumption. If the media is not given and he finds out, then the book is sent to one of his siblings. Ever tried to fight a wizard with a tentacle beast, a dragon for their treasure, a magician for his skillset, or a shadow who can read your mind? I don't think so. Therefore, trying to find that written piece of media will be like stumbling into a looping side quest that never ends. It's not worth it; there are so many other things out there. Speaking of other things, the rule never said anything about creating your own stories. You would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for your mother.
Your mother started as a fanfiction writer herself and taught you all the editing tips she knew. Editing came easy to you, but writing was an uphill battle. Sometimes the blank page and blinking cursor ate away at your resolve to start your work. What if people hated it? What if what you wrote was only something you understood? What if your dad found out and thought you were a joke? You were scared. Then one day you came across a simple post. It made you smile; the more you thought about it, the funnier it got. You started to write. One word followed the next, a stream of consciousness set free, blazing a path to your victory against the blank page. Thoughts fought one another for screen space. A pause. Your eyes hurt from the bright screen. When you returned, the screen was filled with your words. So you posted. Days later your mother found it on the internet and told your father. You did not expect what your parents did next.
James sat at the head of the table, your laptop screen casting a glare onto his glasses. To say you were mortified would be an understatement. You knew the websites you posted on were still logged into. You never signed out. He was looking into your world! The one you created and meant to hide. You wanted to cry but couldn't because that was not logical. Why would you cry? He never hit you. He only made you play wild goose chases with books. He was never mean, just different than most dads. So you waited with bated breath. You heard your mother's steps. She placed a cup of water in front of you and a pink folder in front of you. Pink was your favorite color. James cleared his throat. You looked up but could not read his expression. You gulped.
"Open it," James said.
An absolute command told in a gentle tone. Maybe you were making a mountain out of a molehill and stressing out for no reason. You took a deep breath and did what you were told. Inside the pink folder rested two pages. One was a flyer about a local writing submission competition. The other flyer was for a writing workshop where you could network and gain professional feedback.
"I can only give you options. It's your choice if you would like to explore it." James said,
You were confused. You only wrote fanfiction; you weren't serious, were you?
"Is this situation that unbelievable? Sweetie, your mother wrote like this when we first met. Did you know her first story was about me, and the one to tell me was my brother?" James said.
"James, stop it!" your mom said.
"Love, I think they have heard worse based on what they have written," James said.
You flushed. Maybe diving headfirst into the belly of your uncle's tentacle monster doesn't sound so bad. Ok, weirdos, the tentacle monster is not sexual. It will eat you. Get it together! You shook your head and composed yourself. Sex topics were open topics because you were half sex demon! Be mature. You let out a breath. Then you heard your mother giggle. Your parents were being affectionate right in front of you while you were distracted! You're leaving!
"Sweetie, one more thing, sex demons always beat vampires when it comes to enthrallment. So make sure your vampire boyfriend, fictional or not, knows that in case he tries something funny," your father said.
(Sorry to the original poster, but this felt like something a character in this fandom would do. What am I doing writing this in a reblog? Good question. I don't know.)

I won't lie; I played Seduce Me The Otome because I wanted connection. I use dating simulations and otome games to explore relationships without involving other people in my self-sabotaging behavior. The description of the game advertised new beginnings and incubi. Also, it was the only other English otome game to cover demons aside from Cute Demon Crashers that I knew. I gave it a try on a whim and was happily surprised by the English voice acting! In my limited experience, English voice acting in a free otome game was not common! However, as I played the game, I felt like I lacked reaction options. This feeling, derived from my own avoidant attachment style, drove me to bad ends with Diana and Malix. It was as if the game was calling me out, saying, "Play to date these characters or else!" which convinced me to start over with the intention of picking a brother. I did not want any of the brothers emotionally or sexually! If I put myself in the main character's (Mika's) shoes, dating would be the last thing on my mind! The game could have implied Mika was told why she is going to the house, how bills will be paid, or her expected contribution to payment. But instead it feels like David Anderson is dropping Mika off to an isolation camp for having an angry outburst!
As if David was saying to his daughter, "Oh! You think you can make better decisions than me? Ok, live by yourself then!"
I admit I am ignorant because I am not a parent and do not socialize. Maybe there are parents who, when the child decides to show emotions, are slapped and then taken to a therapeutic boarding school the next day! Or maybe David is enforcing a unique version of "time out" by placing her in a rent-free mansion. It is kind of funny that the game does not have an option for Mika to leave after being dropped off. As if saying Mika is bullheaded no matter what situation she is in and will fight even when she has no right to. Nothing in the mansion is hers because it was given to her once her grandfather (Harold) passed away. She did not earn it herself. The mansion may be hers in name, but her father uses it like a party place at his leisure. As if reminding Mika she is only in the mansion because David brought her there! It seems that Mika has been suffering this oppressive family power dynamic for years, and the first form of escape she has is quickly taken away! Like, all the options from this point feel like watching the main character develop Stockholm syndrome! Look, I know what I am writing is a very dramatic and downright rude thing to claim about this game character's relationships. But I, as an independent person, can have my opinions about a game whose narrative holds more impact and depth than its visual novel format provides.
The more I think about this game, the more I think it would have worked better as a book. In most books authors have to show what is happening rather than explain the situation. However, in a majority of games, this is the opposite because players need to know what is going on in order to act. This usually comes in the form of instructions, lore notes, interactions with non-romanceable characters, and player exploration. Visual novels are choice-based games that affect either the game world or character relations. Seduce Me The Otome offers choice, but the impact of your choice is minuscule compared to the bigger story. The bigger story is that the demon male love interests were princes who abdicated the throne to escape their tyrant father.
Seduce Me The Otome does not provide a loveable dating story. It is a part of a bigger narrative surrounding demon royalty in that universe. Maybe one can say Seduce Me The Otome explores love. Yet, I don't see it. Here is what I do see: infatuation, curiosity, temptation, acknowledgement, obligation, and responsibility. All the men and demons (one demoness) the player can date are older than the main character. I point this out because I cannot get over watching an 18-year-old's personal safe space get invaded without any option to leave. Then again, as I said in the beginning, I have an avoidant attachment style. Also, I must acknowledge this game is a work of fiction I choose to play through until the second game. The second game shows off consequences after the first game, but the story feels like a delayed reaction.
"Fuck around and find out two years later in the DEMON DOME!! RAHHHHH!"—The Demon Lord, probably.
All of this to say, I think Mika should not have left her parents because the first thing she does is play house with demons.
I'm never parting with canonical romantic Sam/Aomaris. It's so special to me.
Aomaris who never used pursued anyone romantically or otherwise in the Abyssal Plains, his first love and kiss is the MC. He didn't even use his incubi side to get energy and instead relied on his brute genetics.
(Sidenote: We didn't really get an explanation for why Sam never tapped into his incubi enthrallment. We can assume that it's because he took a protective role over his brothers' safety especially with Damien's life being at constant risk. Sam is also a special case of being 50% Brute demon which means he has more of an affinity for his brute side and rage magic than his brothers leaving him the only one able to drain anger. We know he definitely got into fights so he was probably using his brute strength to his advantage so he never had to think about using his incubi abilities. Aomaris being more brute demon than his brothers could have made him feel too similar to his father and a disappointment for being too brutish. Sam was also essentially a robin hood for justice and giving to the poor. This also makes him a good future ruler, he as a royal sees how the lower class suffers)
Aomaris, who improved on his anger issues and became more vulnerable to connect to MC. Aomaris, who had a romantic proposal planned and swallowed any pride to ask his brothers for their support to make it perfect for MC. Aomaris, who learned to dance from James. Aomaris, who likely asked Erik to design or tailor that gorgeous green dress and his matching suit outfit because he canonically has no fashion sense. His hair also looked slightly more tamed than usual!
Aomaris, the only brother throughout the game to state his wedding preferences for a small intimate wedding but is willing to adjust for MC. Aomaris, the only brother that brings up demonic marriage. Aomaris, who is so in love and devoted that he wants to be connected to MC in life and death, to his share his culture. Aomaris, who learned from MC that he was never a monster. Aomaris, who wants to be tied to MC in all ways possible, that he found his soulmate.
As much as I love all of the incubi and I do find it difficult to stick to one main favourite, it makes complete sense that Aomaris is the canon route. The amount of depth in this man is amazing, he is a good example of a Tsundere not being reduced to a trope
Yes to all of this! Plus, if I remember correctly, Sam/Aomaris from the beginning seems to dislike burdening the MC. He is the one who suggests the brothers stay for a limited time. Also, he is the one to push for Damien to show MC their past.
NOTICE: I have seen there are few of you who write for requests or are asking for prompts. Please, gather your writings under one username and post onto other reader sites. I mean websites such as Archive of Our Own, Fanfiction.net, or even Wattpad. Why? When I first entered this Tumblr community, I learned there are people who will copy & paste other people's work (Miss Laws's own spin-offs) from Tumblr to repost as Anonymous on Ao3. That incident is over, but it can happen again to other people's fan writings. You have a talent, and writing for fun is still feeding this fandom. I am not sure for artists, but I believe you guys should post in as many places as you can as well.
Fan Challenge: An unspoken writing prompt for many in this community is rewriting Seduce Me The Otome 1. Most rewrites include throwing in their Original Character(s) or making Mika more relatable. Would you turn back time?
Prompt Seekers: I think many of the common requests are comfort/fluff prompts. So, I want to offer prompt seekers other ideas they can work with without having to message people individually.
1. Blood ties: Show how the parents/siblings of the main character (MC), original character (OC), or love interest (LI) shape how they interact with others. This prompt includes how they interact with their children.
2. Heart to Heart: Forget about small talk; where are those deep conversation topics that catch people off guard? The kind of conversations where others have to express their desires, viewpoints, and plans for the future.
3. Break: Those who have dated others may have heard of the phrase "taking a break," a period of time that can strengthen or break the relationship. It is a time when a person can chase their dreams or may be tempted to have a fling. Would the MC, OC, or even the LI be willing to get back together after time apart?
4. Self-Aware: Sure, the game love interests may be the perfect partner! But are MCs/OCs the perfect partner for their love interest? Why or why not?
5. Express = How comfortable are the partners together? How long had they been together before someone farted in front of the other? Who hogs the blankets at night in the relationship? How do they share household and financial responsibilities? Do they share/steal each other's clothes? What is the likelihood of misplaced socks?
6. Lavatory: Who is the most likely to forget to restock and check the bathroom for toilet paper? Who has been scolded the most for forgetting to put down the toilet seat? Who fell into the toilet? Has an animal ever hidden behind or under the toilet? Does the bathroom have a night light? Do they use bathroom slippers? Do they install a bidet?
Damien's mom was FRIDGED, my god. Michaela didn't even try to make that subtle.
Like if you only played through the Completed Story, what do we actually KNOW about this woman?
She is not mentioned in the compendium, or the CDs or the side stories. She is not directly in Demon War however when Sam mentions (In James's route I believe) the women chained to the Demon Lord's bed as a way of emphasizing that they do know of the Demon Lord's cruelty, Damien has a negative reaction.
The only times she is directly mentioned are in game 1 where Damien explains that she is not a queen and when Diana revealed how she died.
The only things we know about her from all the games and stories is that she was Damien's mom, she was the Demon Lord's favorite harem girl, and that after years of dealing with the Demon Lord's assault and Damien's mind reading, she snapped and tried to kill Damien before killing herself.
That's it. Her status to Damien, her status to the Demon Lord and how she died. Not her name, not her face, not her personality, not her life before the castle, not her family. Not even truly her relationship with Damien.
We can assume she was a red head with violet eyes because Damien is one and the Demon Lord isn't. We can assume she was a shadow-succubus because Damien is half brute-half shadow-incubus with no other species mentioned. We can assume pre-murder attempt that they were close seeing how much Damien fretted over her and trusted her word without question, but those are all assumptions.
Yes, not everyone character needs a lengthy backstory but she really just felt like she existed simply because someone needed to birth Damien.
Looking on Michaela's page confirms this theory even more for me. She adds three things in her tumblr about Damien's mother. That she also had mind reading (which was just to explain how Damien got mind reading powers), she birthed Damien in an attempt to have a better life and the Demon Lord humored her (which was just to explain why Damien wasn't murdered as a baby), and that pre-imprisonment, she was the only person willing to stand up to the Demon Lord. (Which was to explain why he "fell in love" with her. And also makes no sense. You mean to tell me that no other woman told this manifestation of evil to fuck off? Really???)
But one thing stood out to me. Someone asked her about an elaborate AU that would basically end with Damien's mother being alive. And Michaela's response was to say that she can't answer that as to her there is no timeline where Damien's mother is alive.
I'm sorry what?? She's answered questions about timelines where all the other queens know of their sons' wedding to Mika. She isn't against timelines where the queens meet Mika or see their sons again. It's just Damien's mom. Also all the other moms got appearances and names. Not Damien's.
What is Micky's deal with Damien's Mom?
And no, she doesn't haunt the narrative. We don't truly see the effects of that loss on Damien. It is mentioned and he does seem upset but it's not like he's lost without her or he doesn't know how to do certain things because she's gone or even that his possessiveness (that we never see in game) is directly correlated to her death. He doesn't have an innate distrust of family or women, he doesn't have anything of hers that he treasures, there is nothing of her left when she's gone. If you completely cut the scene that showed that she died, you'd never know that she died or how Damien feels about her at all.
The only reason she exists is because Damien couldn't have popped out of thin air.
I am reblogging, so I don't lose this post. Recently, I have come to the conclusion there are many things I hate about the Seduce Me The Otome games. The series boils down to Mika (*Y/N) is an average girl, demons get thrown into her life, and someone is like “pick a card or die”. Aside from the mansion, the cards Mika receives are not even great. What is this new guy providing for me that I have to shelter him from the consequences of his own actions? As a player, I do not care or know him enough to provide him room. But, the game pushes the narrative that Mika has a greater compassion for others than me. The relationships within the Seduce Me series work for a generic otome. An otome can be a visual novel or a dating simulation game. Although, these two terms can be used interchangeably, they are not the same.
Seduce Me The Otome is a visual novel where a person can choose a partner. Every character exists to be shipped or created to push the shipping narrative. In visual novels, not every character has depth as they rely on great visuals or audios with sprinkles of lore. The Seduce Me The Otome series accomplishes the goal of creating a relationship. However, it lacks the charm of a dating sim. Dating simulations usually have situations where players hang out with the character. During these dates, players select the MC's reactions or learn about their love interest's motivations. Seduce Me does not have dates, instead players are given encounters. I do not connect with the encounters given in the game because Mika has no personality of her own. Compared to Mika, I am distrustful and less likely to interact with random strangers in my house. No amount of them cooking food, giving me toys, or cleaning will change that! Also, these encounters pin Mika in situations where I would have walked away or shut down because of stress. For instance, when did we learn of Mika's value to the brothers? When he gave his name? I wouldn't assume so because to me, he gave me his name to clear his conscience for making me an accomplice! I want my demon love interest to give me their name if I did something for them to trust me specifically. The novel is getting across the brothers are love deprived, but not that Mika is falling in love with them. Like the guys are pretty and to quote the animated 1994 Swan Princess “what else is there”? If the Malix situation is supposed to prove the guys will protect me, then why follow-up with Diana's threat? When does Mika get a chance to bond with her love interest? Can their bonding only happen whenever the brothers are hungry? These questions helped me realize I am a not a fan of the Seduce Me series, rather I appreciate the effort of the creator to put her story out there. I prefer visual novels that show me why the characters are together and how deep their connection is within their relationship. As such, fans creators within this fandom have done wonderful jobs attempting to fill gaps of character connections. But, familial relations like Damien and His mother are overlooked. Even the most recent posts of the Seduce Me The Otome tag are requests for how the brothers would react to the player. Mika is not a Main Character, she is a placeholder or Your Name Character for us.
Since it is still January, I want to remind fans/lurkers of the Seduce Me The Otome (SMTO) Series of this mansion layout video. Imagine the amount of dust and cleaning supplies it takes to clean this place!

If you want current lore from the SMTO creator, then you have to dig through the Tumblr of vamichaelalaws. Older fans might know Michaela Laws on Tumblr as thebunnyofevil. However, she changed her username, and old links will not work. I tend to use her page's search bar, the Seduce Me Ask tag, or the Tumblr of the Grand Library of Yggdrasil for her answers about the SMTO universe/plot.
Also, I would like to highlight a FAN-created blog called The Seduce Me Ask Archive. This Tumblr is not currently being checked but can serve as a general index for information arranged from the SeduceMeAsk tag.

Last, but not least, I hope you're having an interesting new year.
