Just because some of us are bisexual doesn’t mean everyone else is. Some people are only attracted to ONE sex. That’s fine! Monosexuals are not miserable being attracted to one sex, that’s the nature of their sexual orientation. My bisexuality is no more “enlightened” or “progressive” than anyone else’s sexual orientation just because it includes more than one sex, it’s just how I was born.

 Monosexual orientations don’t need to be broadened (“consider dating/having sex with people of more than one sex” ) anymore than my bisexuality needs to be narrowed (”you can only be attracted to one sex/the opposite sex!”). Asking someone who is homosexual/heterosexual to “consider dating/having sex with people of the opposite/same sex” respectively is conversion therapy rhetoric. Stop asking people to change their sexual orientations please

My father said a while back that many lesbians would be offended by me calling myself a lesbian because I'm [assigned male at birth]. I told him that yeah we have a name for them, it's called TERF and they're generally viewed as harmful to the queer community as a whole.
