From imdb: ”During the filming of some scenes for The Princess Bride, the weather became markedly cold for Robin Wright Penn. Andre the Giant helped her by placing one of his hands over her head; his hands were so large that one would entirely cover the top of her head, keeping her warm.”

This is so sweet how can I NOT reblog this.
D’aaawwww.
All of the behind the scenes stories about Andre the Giant were adorable like this, Apparently Wallace Shawn is deathly afraid of heights, so he was freaking out while they were doing the scene scaling the cliff and Andre was like “it is okay, I’ll keep you safe.” there’s a behind the scenes thing on the DVD and everyone is choked up and misty eyed when they talk about working with him.
Andre the Giant was a radiant human being.
I’m so glad he gets to go down in history as everyones favorite giant. What a legacy!
It should be known that when he got back to wrestling after the movie came out he was constantly pulling other wrestlers into the locker room where he had a tv set up with a copy of the movie so they could watch. He was desperate for the guys to see it and he really wanted their honest opinion on his acting.
Andre the Good Giant.

A very good thread about how every part of John Walker’s uniform is designed to be as unsettling as possible
FURTHERMORE,
There’s a callback to the Winter Soldier’s uniform in Walker’s Cap getup–the horizontal stipes across the torso on Walker versus the horizontal straps on the Winter Soldier’s.
Both uniforms buckle on the same side (right, rather than over the heart as indicated above), and both men wear the insignias of their respective regimes dead center on the left shoulder. Walker simply trades the flag–drained of all color–for the Soldier’s blood-red star.
They’ve both been harnessed by the state to fight the state’s battles. Only difference is that Walker chose to do it and wears the colors of the state with pride, whereas Bucky had to disappear altogether for the Winter Soldier to be effectively deployed, and only ever in the shadows.
AND ANOTHER THING
(I didn’t write the original thread and I haven’t been a Marvel fan in years but I L O V E me some good costume design)
If you look at Steve’s gloves, they are INCREDIBLY utilitarian. They’re working man’s gloves—covering his fingers for protection and grip, buckled down for security. Sometimes they take on the appearance of the kind of gloves you wear to handle fire or hot items—so they look loose and perhaps ungainly, but they telegraph protection. Yeah, okay, they’re fun colors, but other than “buy war bonds!” Cap, all of them are complementary to his weapon and fighting style. They will protect and assist him.
Look at the new guy’s gloves. They’re bike gloves with studs—studs reminiscent of BRASS KNUCKLES. Those gloves? They don’t do SHIT. He can’t catch a shield with those, he’ll slice his fingers off. He can throw things, I guess, but they’d better have wooden or rubber grips, because the sweat of battle means metal or plastic will slide right through his fingers. The studs? At best, they do nothing. At worst, they could actively impede him from doing any activity that doesn’t require a closed fist. (This depends on how tight the gloves are and how close to his actual knuckles the studs are.)
What they do very well is to recall a weapon that’s coded in media as “something for people who don’t fight fair.” Mafia goons, crooked gangsters, that guy who asked you for a light and then mugged you.
Those gloves aren’t tools of work. They’re tools of intimidation.
How did I not see anyone say red gloves signal having blood on his hands?
Probably because Steve also wore red gloves. Occasionally brown, but usually some shade of red.
On the whole Bucky and Ayo thing - I don't see why everything has to be all or nothing with this fandom. Watching the episode, I don't think either one was entirely in the right or the wrong.
Bucky was arguably in the wrong for freeing Zemo, knowing how dangerous he is and what his freedom would mean to the people of Wakanda. He freed the man who killed their leader and couldn't even bother to try to talk to them about it/give them a heads up. After everything they did for him, that would definitely be perceived as a betrayal.
(Not to mention, he's hypocritical for criticizing Karli's 'means' when he himself just referred to Zemo as a 'means' to an end.)
As for Ayo, I felt she and the other Dora Milaje were quick to resort to lethal violence when it came to Walker. He was being completely disrespectful and shouldn't have put his hand on her shoulder, but she straight up tried to kill him with her spear for not immediately ceding to her wishes. Everyone keeps saying Bucky betrayed her again by trying to stop her from taking Zemo, but that's not what he was doing. He was stepping in to try to reason with her and keep her from killing Walker.
So when she did the thing to remove Bucky's prosthetic arm, it wasn't even directly related to recapturing Zemo. She of all people knows just how much Bucky's bodily autonomy has been violated over the years. Keeping that secret from him and then using it to remove the limb they gave him could arguably be viewed as a betrayal, because no one ever let him know the arm had a fail safe and what was seen as an important gift can apparently be revoked. Bucky now doesn't know whether he can trust a part of his body and likely feels like he can't fully trust the Wakandans anymore since they used a part of his body against him.
I'm not saying it's anywhere near as bad as the way others have used his body against him of course, but her actions clearly sent a message that the Wakandans have more control over that part of his body than he knew.
Essentially, both of them broke each other's trust (although to be fair, Bucky did it first and Ayo wasn't the one who actually designed the arm). But it's clear they both respected and cared for each other and are now feeling hurt by the other's actions.
Hopefully they can make up with one another before the end of the season, and Bucky especially can apologize for the pain he put the Wakandans through as a result of his actions.
If he knew how to use a phone he would’ve done it
