it has occurred to me that the “walking under a ladder is bad luck” thing mainly seems designed to prevent safety hazards.  we should start doing this with other safety hazards.

if you stand on a rolling chair your livestock shall fall ill

if you bike without a helmet your bloodline shall be cursed with obscure allergies

on the phone while driving?  plague of locusts

I know the whole point of superstition is vagueness because that keeps it unprovable but this is more fun

Thats actually how most theater superstitions start!

- If you whistle in a theater bad things will happen. well thats cuz sailors used to operate the curtains and would whistle to communicate so any whistling may bring it down

- You need a ghost light to appease the theater ghost. Making sure there is a light in a dark room prevents injury

- Mirrors on stage are bad luck. They mess with lighting a lot, they also have a superstion about them breaking and its very likely to break on stage.

- Never light a trio of candles. fire hazard

Short animatic I made for my Friend and I’s Au. (The ITrapped is their design) It started out if ‘what if ITrapped was in termination protocol’ but like,,, its actually happening. Also this is him reconnecting with his friends, because of the whole ‘his friends were banned but he escaped the authorities.’

We torture him a lot so this is the only fluff he gets, and I wanted to prove we had a whoooole story line for ITrapped before we found out he was actually coming to Term Protocol.

so what do u think about plays

i like how in a theatre time and space are necessarily metaphorical. i don’t like how plays always have to begin with someone walking onstage and talking. too many directors try to work around this by having someone walk onstage and brood in silence for a moment before talking. this is worse.
