The always FANTASTIC Swan Oyster Depot in SF. If you love sea food, it would be wrong to skip Swan if you’re in town. Unfortunately it turned into a nearly 2 hour wait, so we had to get our meal to go as they stop seating at 2PM. Thankful for a couple of complimentary Anchor Steams. But it was still amazing even back in the hotel room. First plate is “The Maverick” off the secret menu, 1lb crab legs, a filet of smoked white fish (replaced with salmon as they were out) and prawns, then a large Sicilian Sashimi and a Dozen Eggs, wonderful scallops with sriracha and a ponzu dipping sauce. Make sure to get a side of the salad vinaigrette, which has emulsified crab fat in it #BANGIN, the SPICY cocktail sauce and the Louie sauce. If it’s one of Anthony Bourdain’s favorite restaurants, you can’t go wrong.
