No one wants to admit this but you donāt actually have to eat eggs and dairy for breakfast. Farmers just did that because theyād milk the cows and collect eggs in the morning. You can literally make a sandwich or a bowl of pasta or really anything you want for breakfast. There isnāt some medical reason you have to eat cereal and milk or fried eggs in the morningāour idea of ābreakfast foodā is an entirely artificial construct. Do what makes you happy.
My favourite choices are: leftover baked potato with butter, some cheese, salt and pepper, and Mrs. Dash and sour cream. Then a side of bratwurst or similar meat with mustard. To go with both I top it off with sauerkraut with caraway seeds. Divinity in a meal. If it's not that, I'm usually making a mixing bowl sized salad. Mixed greens, cucumber, peas, tomato, corn sometimes, various beans often, and whatever other veggies I like. Sometimes I'll add in fruit too like berries or stone fruits. Never apples unless shredded tho. Texture matters here people. Chicken or sliced turkey, cabbage, shredded cucumber, various herbs like Thyme sage basil oregano and chive. (Actually my favorite herb combo is basil or dill, mint, and chive flower and stalk.) Then I do whatever dressing I'm in the mood for. Sometimes it's oil and a wine vinegar. Others it's oil and balsamic, or Caesar, or a vinaigrette, or jus[ good old ranch or Italian.
