Who was she? At first glance, I couldn’t find my face anywhere in the smooth, perfect planes of her features.
And her eyes! Though I’d known to expect them, her eyes still sent a thrill of terror through me.
All the while I studied and reacted, her face was perfectly composed, a carving of a goddess, showing nothing of the turmoil roiling inside me. And then her full lips moved.
“The eyes?” I whispered, unwilling to say my eyes. “How long?""
…..not even six hours later i got an offer of a well paying full time long-term job with free room and board in queens in nyc, allowing me independence and a way to escape an abusive situation and an unhealthy environment

Top 10 Scenes/Storylines I Wish Were Animated in Ouran
In Chronological Order
{length advisory, this post is long}
+ I had to shrink the text so that this post wouldn’t be too long, so please bear with me, as I put a lot of time into this ❦ ❦ ❦
edit: just now figured out after the fact how to add a “keep reading” on mobile, so voilà
Hani & Reiko’s Storyline
Reiko was the love interest of Hani, and yet she was never mentioned in the anime. She was, in fact, the only girl who ever saw Hani as the 17 year old boy that he was, not just the boy Lolita who acts in a younger manner than most his age. He is actually known to perceive well above his age, and Reiko acknowledges this as well as truly falling in love with him as a person. Being the unique individual that she is, Hani slowly found himself falling for her as well, and there were many reasons for that. This character alone would have scratched well below the surface of Hani’s character, so she’s a character I wish we could have had a chance to unravel. More than anything, I would have liked to see the story of how and when Hani in particular fell for her, as we all know Reiko loved him from the start. What specifically caused him to fall in love? and when? How did he feel or go about it? When did they decide they were dating?? So many questions we’ll never get answers to.
The Sports Festival: The Last Race
In all honesty, the main goal behind this entire competition was to see Kyoya compete without anything to gain— without any profit in it. Tamaki wanted Kyoya to be passionate about winning simply for himself. He is known for always making the Suoh’s look good, especially in public, as he lets them wear a crown that he is completely capable of taking. But this time, it was different. I want to see the determination in Kyoya’s eyes as he’s racing the last race, the deciding factor of the competition, against Tamaki himself. The feeling he gets after winning the race, a feeling of loss masking the feeling of victory, I want to see the realization he has after this victory. They competed in 2 very different ways: one purely through spirit and encouragement, the other being manipulative and dirty. He was taught that you only included yourself in situations where there was something to be gained, as well as learning that people existed to be taken advantage of... right? After this, he learned that if he came across a true friend in this process called life, then it would all be worth it. I want to see that.
Hikaru Finally Realizing His Feelings
After many agonizing volumes of Hikaru being absolutely clueless about his feelings, Kaoru decided to put him out of his misery and tell him. Tell him why his heart was hurting after hearing Haruhi talk about Tamaki so fondly, tell him why he’s crying over someone he recently only considered a friend. Well, because he loves her, as a woman. Now keep in mind, Kaoru had long been aware of his own feelings before this, and he was doing his best to let Hikaru come around to this conclusion on his own, but he stated himself that seeing Hikaru in pain/heartache over something he didn’t understand caused him pain as well. Even though he too had feelings for Haruhi, he couldn’t stand to see Hikaru hurting for a second longer over feelings he didn’t understand; he wanted him to have a fighting chance for Haruhi’s affection. Honestly, this scene itself is very dramatic and touching, and I believe seeing it animated would pull at my sensitive heart strings more than I could handle. It’s such a beautiful moment shared between the twins.
Battle Between Hani and Mori
Now, this battle was a long time coming, as something was bound to happen before the two of them graduated. It was actually Mori who requested a battle against Hani, and we learn that the reasoning behind it is a selfless one— a list of requests that would help Hani mature in the long run. But these would only be applicable if he won, which he had, to everyone’s surprise. Believe it or not, the two had discussed the possibility of their absence at graduation due to the plausibility of injuring each other too badly to attend. In the end, it was understood that they had “played it up” a little, as in the fight was real but their main goal was to go out with a bang. As in, they wanted to end their last year doing what they loved most: entertaining. Hani had asked everyone if they’d had a good time, if Kyoya made a profit, if the hosts and guests were entertained. Even thought they wouldn’t be attending the same school, their 3 years spent in high school went down as the best 3 years of their life so far, and they had stated that they owed everything they had to the host club 🤧 Yeah, where is that scene.
Hikaru Saving the Chairman at the Ski Lodge
Where do I begin? I mean, I would love for the entirety of their trip at the ski lodge to be animated, from Kaoru throwing Hikaru into the snow to Hikaru confessing to Haruhi, but in my eyes this scene stands out. It touches my heart, honestly. For the entirety of their trip, Hikaru had been stressing over his relationship involving Haruhi and Tamaki. He had wanted to tell Haruhi how he felt, but he couldn’t get Tamaki out of his head. How much Tamaki had truly done for Hikaru and Kaoru continued to loom over him, causing him to feel guilty for his feelings towards Haruhi. The night prior to this, he had been up all night due to Haruhi sleeping in the same room, and he woke up full of vengeance and exhaustion. He had directed it towards the chairman, almost forcing him to snowboard when he absolutely didn’t want to, whilst taking him to the highest point of the mountain. After the chairman sprained his ankle and insisted that Hikaru not carry him, Hikaru erupts with guilt and anger, telling him to do his best and let him help— to let him carry him. With Tamaki also on his mind, he was even more determined to carry him to safety during a snow storm, collapsing from exhaustion. To see Hikaru carry such a heavy burden physically and mentally, at the exact same time while still managing to persevere, well that really shows character. His heart is huge and filled with passion and love, as I wouldn’t doubt he’s capable of loving the hardest out of anyone. I wanted to see his character growth, as it was the greatest character growth in the entire manga. The end.
The Resolution Between Hikaru and Kaoru
AND THIS!!! RIGHT HERE!!! It’s just more proof of my last statement. In this scene, he superseded Kaoru in maturity, taking the role of the eldest brother more seriously than ever before. After resolving their fight, [Kaoru purposefully caused this fight to make Hikaru come to terms with the seriousness of his feelings, going as far as to kiss Haruhi right in front of him on purpose. Manipulating the situation to go how he wanted it to go, using Haruhi, and executing extreme self-sacrifice for self-satisfaction. Although he had done it for Hikaru, Hikaru never asked him to, and he was more angry than appreciative. Nonetheless, Kaoru was willing to put everything on the line, even their relationship as brothers, for Hikaru to be “set free” is how he put it.] Kaoru had stressed to Hikaru that they would no longer act as twins in anything they do, as he believed that was the only way Hikaru could gain the independence he needed to be happy & free. Kaoru believed he was a hindrance to his growth and independence. Instead, Hikaru stayed up all night, dyed his hair, and waited for Kaoru to awake. Demonstrating his character growth extremely well, he assures Kaoru that they did not have to live separate lives, that being a twin is a gift in itself, and that they needed each other. Hikaru held Kaoru as he CRIED from shock, happiness, relief, love, etc. This is top 3 scene material, and it’s a disgrace that we’ll probably never see it animated. I will never not be upset about this, as all of the heartache Kaoru had gone through to separate them was proven unnecessary— Hikaru had finally proven to him how much they actually needed each other to grow, relieving Kaoru of his heartache😭😭 it’s so beautiful 😖✊🏻
Tamaki/Kyoya Moment Before Meeting Anne
Due to Kyoya having gone the extra extra mile to assure Tamaki was able to meet his mother in time, Tamaki had finally achieved the one thing he had wanted since he left France— to be reunited with Anne. After Kyoya had gone to France to search for Anne, inconveniencing himself on their class trip all to just be able to tell Tamaki she was doing alright once he returned. After confronting Tamaki’s father involving the disgusting manner in which he had been using Tamaki the entire time to get back at his grandmother. After having decided the day before that the rest of the hosts would each do everything in their power to make sure Tamaki sees Anne before she’s off, and actually succeeding, only after literally breaking into his house. Although, as if anything less was expected. After having gone out of his way for Tamaki with nothing to gain but the pure happiness that would illuminate Tamaki’s face, proving yet again that Kyoya values the hosts (especially Tamaki) more than any other aspect of his life. And in the interlude of it all, right before Tamaki scurried off to catch Anne, they shared a very touching interaction whilst fist bumping afterwards before parting. This scene, well, it’s one of the ultimate Tama/Kyo moments in my book. The love and adoration between those two, I— the length Kyoya would go for him is insurmountable. In this scene, no grand gesture was needed to portray that, as all that was need were those small words of encouragement. 🤧
Finally Meeting Anne, Tamaki’s Mother
Listen, this scene in the manga was short, but it was absolutely heart wrenching. The only reason Tamaki was even able to see Anne was because he had finally, after all 18 volumes, won over his grandmother. Before even beginning to think about this possibility, he had slowly begun to spend most of his time tending to his grandmother, a woman he respected greatly and genuinely wanted to understand. Even though she had treated him with the utmost disrespect, solely because of his illegitimacy, he still found it in his heart to attempt to try and understand her. Bond with her, if you will. He had given up the thought of ever seeing Anne again, as his grandmother would not permit it. That is, until she too had finally been able to see the heart of gold he possessed. Even so, the hosts made it their first priority to make sure he wouldn’t miss out on the opportunity to see Anne, lunging Haruhi and Mori straight into the estate. Haruhi then proceeded to explain to Tamaki, tears welting in her eyes, that this was an opportunity he should grasp. She would never be granted such an opportunity to see her late mother again, and she urged him to consider how blessed he really was to still have a mother who’s alive and so close. All he had to do was try.
He then stated he too wanted to see his mother more than anything; due to the understanding and mutual respect that was formed within the time he spent secluded with his grandmother, she then permitted this action whilst asking for him to apologize to Anne for her discourtesy, all the while feeling genuinely touched to the core. [She had just heard Tamaki play a song on the piano from her favorite drama, soon learning that it was taught to him by none other than his father, ultimately realizing that the animosity between their family had been due to misunderstandings and miscommunication.] And Tamaki had managed to arrive just as she was boarding the plane; it was a tearful reunion indeed, Anne on the brink of tears as well. If that isn’t a scene you’ve been waiting to see your whole life, then I can’t say for sure we’ve been reading the same manga.
Dramatic Confession Scene Between Tamaki and Haruhi
HERE! IT! IS!!!!!!!! Yes, many of us have our own preferred host that we would have liked to see Haruhi end up with, but you can’t help but feel an imploding amount of joy while reading this. After an agonizingly painful 18 volumes, Tamaki was finally able to come to terms with his feelings, although it was actually Haruhi who confessed. Being the teaser that he is, he pretends he doesn’t hear as they watch the plane dispatch, ultimately bringing her to tears. She then questions whether or not she still loves him, as he’s an idiot, a narcissist, so extravagant that it becomes troublesome and ultimately a good-for-nothing. He then pulls her in for a kiss, stating afterwards that if she liked it that it would certainly solidify her feelings for him. And she did, thus finally leading to the beginning of a chaotic but loving relationship. After having built this moment up over the course of the entire manga, it only feels fitting to actually get the chance to see it animated. Oh, how painfully dramatic and cute this scene would be [but it wouldn’t be cute when they cut to Hikaru crying while with the other hosts because he knew Haruhi had most likely confessed to Tamaki at the airport🥺💔]
When The Hosts Followed Haruhi to Boston
And, last but absolutely not least, we have this beautiful scene. Haruhi, only about to begin her second year, decided that the best thing for her was to study abroad. Tamaki, being the doting and persistent boyfriend he is, insisted that he too would travel there alongside her. Much to her surprise, she accepted, both reaching an understanding that being together was certainly better than being apart. After having gotten apartments right next to each other , they hear a knock on the door. The people greeted her from just outside the door in English, stating that they had just moved there as well. As she opened the door, there they stood in all their glory, the Host Club. After both Tamaki and Haruhi’s initial shock, Kyoya began to explain that they, too, had the same option as them to study abroad as well. They had made one thing very clear: they had absolutely no intention of becoming just another memory anytime soon, no, they were there for the long haul.
AND LOOK AT HARUHI’S FACE WHEN THE REALIZATION KICKS IN!!!!! They had chosen to study abroad for the sole purpose of staying together. In all actually, they had all decided to rent apartments in the exact same complex as Haruhi and Tamaki, as they made the arrangements just days before.
🌸These were just my personal favorites, I’m sure everyone has a few scenes in mind they’d love to see animated as well 🌸
Petition to make the Twilight series a horror anthology!!
The Cullens look normal at a glance, but the uncanny valley is glaringly obvious if you look longer than a second. Bella feeling Edward’s presence, even at home during the night. She asks questions no one wants to answer. She doesn’t feel safe at home because he’s there—with eyes so black she can see her horrified expression reflecting back at her.
Or maybe Edward is to Bella as Maria is to Jasper. He sees how her mind keeps him out, and is more intrigued with her use as a vampire than being in love with her. But if playing house is what it takes to get what he wants, then so be it.
Or the complete body horror in Bella’s pregnancy. Becoming a walking corpse, the fetus draining her of everything she has. Did she want the baby, or did the baby decide that for her? I imagine the worse pregnancy symptoms happening but times ten: losing teeth from lack of calcium, losing hair, cracking ribs, etc. I’m thinking Rosemary’s Baby vibes, where the Cullens are all actually supportive of Bella’s pregnancy…too supportive. Maybe at first Bella wants out but soon enough she’s too weak to fight against it.
Or feeling unrecognizable waking up as a vampire. Bella looking at her reflection after weeks of being malnourished and seeing something too perfect staring back at her. The uncanny valley is back, but this time she can’t even recognize herself. Even her voice is different, it chimes likes bells when she screams and cries. Beautiful to a fault, and damned to an eternity of this life she didn’t ask for.
These are all just little AU’s I have, but please add more if you’d like!!
What happens if someone who’s gotten a BBL turns into a vampire? Does their body revert back to its state before the surgery or nah? Or like a nose job? Boob job? Does Carlisle have to remove the implants before he bites you orrr
It certainly helps that he has empathic powers that can tell him such, but he likes to think that he knows you well enough to not need his supernatural abilities when it’s about you.
You were most certainly having a bad day. It could be a hard test, family drama, or even just the weather. Regardless, you didn’t really want to talk about it. At least, not yet. And you knew Jasper would sense your dismay, so you tried your best to avoid him at school.
Jasper saw right through your act, but let you have your space. It wasn’t until after school he raced to your house and up to your bedroom window, knocking politely so as to not scare you. You sighed, going to open the window.
Jasper climbed into your room, eyes full of concern. You started, “Look, I’m sorry I didn’t talk to you sooner. It’s just-”
Jasper shook his head and enveloped you in his arms. “It’s alright, you don’t need to apologize.”
And he didn’t ask any questions. He didn’t force you to feel better with his abilities. He just let you be, there in his arms, and you quite liked it.
“So you seduced your all-too-willing husband. That’s not a capital offense.”
He seemed to be teasing.
My cheeks got hotter. “The word seduced implies a certain amount of premeditation.”
“Maybe that was the wrong word,” he allowed.
What really baffles me about BD in particular is that the ENTIRE POINT of writing a vampire novel is to use the conflict that comes from vampirism. And she spent three whole books setting up the intricacies of those conflicts, most specifically that there are things about vampirism and immortality that are not fun. Every vampire in existence tells Bella if she wants to become this, it will be hard, she will pay the price for it, there will be unintended consequences.
And then there AREN’T. She has super self control and never kills a human. She lies to Charlie and tells him about the wherewolves so she doesn’t have to lose him. She doesnt have to give up children like Rosalie and her child WILL NEVER DIE for some reason.
She set up this complex vampire lore for THREE books and then systematically sacrificed every single part of it to the alter of white picket fence mormonism. Its bullshit, and I cant believe more people weren’t enraged when she first published that steaming hot pile of filth.
PREACH OH MY GOSH THAT’S LITERALLY WHAT I HAVE BEEN SAYING ALL ALONG. Like what was the point of Jacob’s character if he’s just going to not represent the life she would have had? What is the point of all of their backstories if she’s just going to have it easy? it’s about sacrifice and I love my bella so so much I swear but literally what the fuck was that it made no sense for that to have been the ending. breaking dawn should have been about bella struggling with immortality and saying goodbye to her human life chapter. it’s absolute bullshit
Listen. listen. Hear me out. They could have tricked James. Easily.
Okay so the baseball scene, right. James, Victoria, Laurant. "You brought a ~snack~"
Edward has seen at this point that James is a tracker who loves a chase, so OBVIOUSLY you would need to limit the chase potential of this situation.
Edward laughs, pulls Bella a little closer to him. "Aha damn, we were hoping you wouldn't notice."
Emmett: "Edward likes to play with his food, but he doesn't like to share."
Laurant: "You... befriend the humans you eat?? Why is she not afraid?"
Jasper: "oh thats me, I influence people's emotions. She's swimming in enough endorphins right now to down a horse."
Bella: *grins stupidly*
So by now, the enemy vampires don't feel threatened, James is recalibrating his chase, and Carlisle is inviting them to the house.
When they get there, everyone's chillin, and Alice and Edward have communicated enough that Alice is looking for the perfect time to rip James' head off. Alice gives Jasper a cue, Jasper restrains Victoria, Edward and Alice go for James, everyone else runs defense on Bella.
The living room is a little messy and Bella is a little late home, but problem fucking solved.
If Smeyer was so desperate to have Rosalie and Jasper portrayed (to Forks) as Twins, why didn’t she just make them actual twins? You can have mostly the same storylines for both of them with a few minor changes.
Like, for example;;
Rosalie Lillian and Jasper Whitlock* Hale
Twin Son and Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Hale, born in 1915 in Rochester, New York.
Living during the Great Depression, they’re father’s family managed to stay afloat due to their father’s job at the local bank.
Rosalie Lillian, the beautifully stunning violet-eyed blonde bombshell beauty of the family, remains the self-involved little girl who is in love with the idea of love and manages to find herself a match in Piece-of-Shit Royce King II, the son of the owner of the Bank her father worked at. She is turned by Carlisle Cullen after being assaulted by her shitdick of a Fiancée and his dickwaffle friends. Rosalie took her revenge over the next while of her vampiric life. Later, in 1935, Rosalie found, saved, and fell in love with Emmett McCarty after he was mauled by a bear.
Jasper Whitlock, the stunning blue-eyed honey-blonde badass of the family, was originally drafted into World War II until some very specific strings were pulled and he was sent home after the sudden, horrible loss of his twin sister. He later left Rochester to go to Texas to help his mother’s family during the Great Depression - with work and other things. He suddenly disappeared within two weeks of being in Texas, he was turned by the vampire Maria who required him for her Southern Vampire Army. Later, in 1948, he found and fell for Mary Alice Brandon - more well known as Alice.
Rosalie and Jasper Hale were reunited in 1950 when Alice brought Jasper with her to join the Cullen Family.**
*- Jasper’s middle name comes from their mother’s maiden name
**- In this headcanon, Alice couldn’t foresee Jasper and Rosalie being twins because she was still trying to get ahold on her abilities at the time, all she knew was they would ‘form’ a very close incredibly protective bond.
Ok ok ok but just for a second imagine what their reunion would be like
Jasper rolls up to the Cullen house pretty apprehensive about the whole thing bc his past experiences with other vampires weren’t great
The Cullens gather outside and Alice starts excitedly greeting them all by name, oblivious to Rosalie locking eyes with Jasper the moment she sees him
“Hi Carlisle, hi Esme, hi-” Jasper, absolutely stunned: “RosALIE????”
All the others are like ??? as Rose just propels herself into his arms sobbing “Jazz” into his shoulder
This would work like so wel with Rosalie’s character in general because she misses her human life, right, so she now has an eternal connection to that life to always keep with her to soften the pain a little, and whenever she’s sad she and Jasper gossip about the people who lived in their town
They return to Rochester one day just the two of them and walk around quietly, remembering the life they once had here, pointing at street corners where important events happened and places that housed their favorite stores
🚨🚨If you voted in Harris County, your ballot is at risk of being purged! 🚨🚨
Last, week the state GOP attempted to block all votes that have been cast through curbside voting. The Texas Supreme Court allowed the votes to continue to be accepted HOWEVER, the request is now moving forward to the federal courts and there’s a very good chance these votes will be blocked on the night before Election Night.
So far, there have been 100,000 ballots cast this way in Harris County!
(HERE IS THE COURT NEW FILING)
Follow the court decision, which will be decided Monday (Nov. 2nd), if this judge rules with the Texas GOP and if you are a Harris County voter that voted curbside YOU WILL HAVE TO GO RECAST YOUR VOTE IN PERSON BECAUSE YOU WILL BE PURGED.
(Judges Are Already Testing How Far Amy Coney Barrett Will Go for Republicans)
PAY ATTENTION TEXAS VOTERS - YOUR VOTE MAY BE THROWN OUT THE NIGHT BEFORE THE ELECTION
BOOST. They KNOW how blue Texas is getting (still not a blue state by any means), so they also know how fragile their control is becoming. And this is what they do. Texas has repeatedly found new and old voter suppression tactics targeting Democratic areas and voters. They know that if Texas goes Biden, we win. Gov. Gregg Abbott has been pulling this crap and getting away with it more every year. Now he’s limited Texas to ONE ballot dropbox per county. So yeah. Harris County is HUGE. One box. And it might get dumped out. This is so far from covert at this point.
This is very useful and important. Also I almost called the cops by accident once while not paying attention and anxiously stimming with the buttons on my phone
