guys i understand that i'm sounding like a broken record at this point, but notes on a fundraiser mean nothing if they don't translate into actual, tangible help for the family. my latest post about hani's fundraiser broke 4k notes, yet somehow we only managed to rack up a thousand today. that is too little. that literally means only 1/4th, at best, donated to the fundraiser. please donate as well as reblog. if you only reblog without so much as considering donating pocket change to the fundraiser, that puts into question if you care of if you're simply sharing it to absolve yourself of guilt. i understand some people genuinely can't afford it, but if you can please donate - however it may be. it helps. it makes a difference.
i shouldn't have to continuously mention that hani's family is still stuck in gaza, that toddler children are living off of unclean water and no food and in tents, for people to care. i shouldn't have to keep regurgitating the fact that hani's dad passed away to kidney failure, a direct result of israel preventing medical aid from entering gaza. and even when i do, it feels like people genuinely still don't care. i literally don't get it. please, please donate. if each person who reblogged my other post donated just 5 dollars, we would still have made more than what we did today. we are very far behind on the daily goal. this family has been displaced since october. it's cruel to see that and choose to passively reblog without doing anything else. please share, but also please donat what you can.
Hey guys, i wanted to share with you all some photos Wafaa sent me that Muhammad and his oldest son Ahmed took when they are out getting water for the family.
As you can see, children as young as 13 years old would wait for hours in extreme heat.
When I look at these pictures, I can't help imagining Salma, Muhammad's 5 year old daughter, who has been suffering from intense stomach cramps because of an intestinal infection from drinking less than clean water for WEEKS NOW.
I cant stomach thinking about it. Every day there are little kids, who should be spending the time they should be playing with their friends and going to school, standing in the blazing sun for hours, only to get sick from the polluted water they are forced to drink in order to survive. Salma, despite being in constant pain, cannot recieve treatment anymore at Khan Younis' overwhelmed field hospital.
Thank you to everyone who donated to Shaima and Muhammad's campaign in the past 24 hours, we are VERY close to helping Shaima's 15 year old son, Malik, register for evacuation. Malik must evacuate with the younger children (the youngest of whom is only weeks old) when time comes to take care of them.

From a numbers perspective, the way Democrats (both official endorsements and regular voters) have immediately LINED UP behind Harris is something we haven’t seen since Obama and I’m honestly not sure it was this strong then (the Obama/Clinton primary competition was fierce). ActBlue (the Democrats’ political fundraising platform) raised $63 MILLION in one day yesterday, which is a record for any political fundraising ever. On the more conservative side, the Nikki Haley Voters PAC, a group that represents conservatives who oppose Trump and had already endorsed Biden, immediately endorsed Harris yesterday.
There’s tons of work to be done, and there will be challenges. The misogynoir has started and it’s going to suck and we need to be prepared for that. But this is more than a chance, this is the most energy I’ve seen from the Democrats in YEARS.

I think they lined up big names in the party to support her before the announcement, because they didn't want Gavin Newsome or Ben Shapiro to be all "heyyyyy maybe I could get that nomination" and end up with a messy floor fight at the convention.
