I respect the fuck out of this. The whole site is trying its hardest to go against every selling point the dog robots have as its selling points.

The dog robots are supposed to be autonomous, threehalves is explicitly only for being piloted by a human. The giant horns make it difficult for this machine to enter through doorways, and that is the point. Coupled with the built-in weak points, it is very easy to disable this thing, so it can't be used by the police or the military effectively.

OP alluded to how unsettling the machine looks, and I believe that it was a concious decision; the robot dogs have garnered sympathy due to their apperance, which makes it easier for the police to morally justify their use. This thing? You're not gonna get many people to sympathise with it. The only people who would are monster and-or robot fuckers, and I believe these circles generally understand that a machine cannot be trusted (though of course many would willingly approach it for pervert reasons (positive) knowing full well it's a bad idea).

All round, though, it doesn't look good for Farage. It was a sham one-party election, so he can't play the "See? No one cares about my multimillion pound bribes, they still voted me in" card he was banking on. His only competition was a bin, and the bin actually did well. Meanwhile, as Goats says, he's now subject to the enquiry he tried to avoid.

He played a strategy that was supposed to be win-win, but the other major parties totally hamstrung it. And, credit where credit's due, the idea for the others to not stand this time was an absolutely genius move that, in fact, came from the static TV screen of a brain that belongs to, of all people, Kemi fucking Badenoch. Pretty embarrassing as well that Farage’s excuse for not attending announcement of the results was that the police had told him there was a credible threat to his safety (as opposed to the real reason, which is that it’s pretty difficult to do a rousing victory speech when what you did was get more votes than a man with a bin on his head) and then a couple of hours later the local police come out with ‘yeah we definitely didn’t do that’.

Can I just point out that Howling Laud Hope of Monster Raving Loony was standing which means that there was a practically identical candidate to binface in terms of parody level there. so of the 9455 people who voted for Binface understood that you dont split the vote!

The fact binface got nearly halfway to farage proves very neatly that if we commit to a single candidate to beat out a bad one we actually could do it, people just have to turn up! I did some quick maths and judging by the demographic info only about a third to 2/5 of the available voting public showed up to this election anyway. Committing to vote is literally all it takes.
