DC x DP Prompt
Danny is Damian and Flatline's kid. They had him young but sent him to another Earth for his own protection, one where they didn't exist, with the intention of getting him back but were unable to. Until Danny kickstarted his powers.
Have a major headache rn.
But just thought about how I don't know how to pronounce: Discowing
I had to say it aloud recently and was like, am I even saying it right? I say:
Dis-cow-wing
I thought it was making a wordplay with cowl?
Don't ask why, I don't have an answer. But was like, is it:
Disco-wing?
Like Night-wing?
what do you say
Dis-cow-wing
Disco-wing

Nico's Ghost
Nico, on a trip, found a small pretty gem emitting the faintest of death energy and decides to take it back with him.
Back at camp he gets it made into a necklace and wears it wherever he goes. However, things take a turn when the necklace protected him by putting up some kind of green shield, followed by the voice of a teenager.
To be honest, this was kinda his fault, Danny could admit that.
You see he was trying to get a handle on his new portal powers and thought practicing in the park was a very resonable idea. It was not! It had taken fifteen minutes before he was surrounded by a total of 10 GIW vans, all very happy to test their new weapons on him. He was doing pretty well handling them until he used his new power on the giant gun connected to one of the vans. Danny thought he could just portal it away but surprise surprise it didn't work, furthermore it got stuck in the portal and he had all but a moment before it exploded, encasing him in a bright light.
When he woke up he realized he had retreated back into his core which was super bad because while cores were very indestructable it would be very bad for the GIW to get a hold of even one. He was so deep in panicked thoughts that he didn't even notice someone had picked him up until he felt fingers laced with death energy brushing against his core.
He was taken back to a camp where he was made into jewellery. Okay, he wasn't too upset about that, he got to see himself when he was put close to a mirror and honestly he was fine piece of jewellery, Paulina would be jealous.
So maybe it wasn't all that bad being a necklace to some death-touched kid, even if his friends seemed a little weird, but who was he to judge? He's basically a weirdo to everyone who isn't his family or friend. Things were going surprisingly good for him...which means things were about to go absolutely wrong for him.
While away from the camp the death-touched kid, whose name was Nico, was attacked by these weird creatures that did not feel like ghost at all. He watched as Nico defended himself pretty good but eventually a monster slipped by his field of vision. Danny acted fast and quickly put up a barrier between them and the monster, releasing it when Nico was ready to attack.
It had taken a while but all the creatures were finally defeated.
"That was a close one."
"You can talk?"
"...Shit!"
I can totally see Nico being compared to gollum from lord of the rings/hobbit, only for some people to try and explain it to him. Then bam!
I'm been busy with work, but I've been thinking of new nicknames that Danny , Dan & Dani have for each other. So like:
Master Copy - MC
Carbon Copy - CC
Corrupted File - CF
Dead but Not Really - DNR
This causes confusion down the road, making people around them think they are MC's or CC'ing someone in their email correspondences or that they are named after a chain mall franchise in Canada or that they have a Do Not Resuscitate in case they die.

Bruce Knew About Damian Au
Just woke from a deep nap with this angtsy story on my mind.
~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~
Bruce knew about Damian when he was 2 and still left him with Talia. Saw him a couple more times as Damian grew up and still left him with Talia.
He was actually stunned that Talia brought him to live with him when he was older and was indifferent because he didn't initially want another kid. He acted like he didn't know about Damian and was very harsh towards him, expecting him to assimilate to being a Wayne, faster than he was able.
This all comes out a couple weeks before Damians 18th birthday. It was a calm day, everyone was hanging out, telling stories. Then Bruce opens his big mouth, and recalls a memory from before he was suppose to know Damian. A rather simple story, they were in Spain, Damian was scoping out soccer balls to play with some kid he met on the street. The kid stole the ball, resulting in Damian following behind, running from the store keep. Bruce held off the store keep and paid for the ball, saying kids will be kids. Jason and Tim, nudged at Damian, calling him Catwoman next big rival. Dick and Stephanie tried to get more details about the incident. Cass and Duke were going back and forth about the logistics of it being a football or a soccer ball.
All the while, Damian stared at his father, who stared back, realizing his fuck up.
Damian recalled that day too, he was 7, definitely before he came to live with his father. It was actually his first mission without much help, he was to kill a kid of a wannabe warlord in Barcelona. The mission almost went without a hitch, until the kid stole that ball. The kid took him to a unfamiliar part of the city, had to kill him quickly, but was seen, the extraction point had to be changed no more than 5 times, delaying his return, 2 out 4 of his guards were killed before they left the city, the rest killed upon their return. He only ever told his mother that the kid stole from a store and were chased out, and he had to change plans. He never told her about the ball or that he even spoke to the kid before his death. So, how did his father know? So he had to ask.
"How do you know that? That was before I came to live with you."

I read somewhere that its common in Arab culture to refer to someone close to you as your organs, implying you canât live without them. Like how in english someone would say âmy heartâ (qalbi), in Arabic someone would also use âmy liverâ (kabidi) âmy lungsâ (riati). Notably, âmy bloodâ is âDamiâ which is funny bc itâs Damianâs shortened nickname.
Damianâs brothers have been using the nickname for years with or without knowing. I propose that as Damian gets closer to them, and Tim in particular, he responds in kind.
He starts to refer to Tim as âtuhali.â
âŚit means âmy spleen.â
(Edit: this has now been confirmed by several Arabic speakers! Except the pronunciation of Dami (as in my blood) and Dami (shortened) are different which is sad. But my spleen idea works! So Iâm happy!)
Short & Angsty DC x DP
Damian died and was reborn in his past younger self. He was tired of being Robin. He was tired of trying to redeem and prove himself.
To his father. Brothers. Sisters. Everyone.
So he ran away when he was 5 and got adopted by this weird couple. He was Danny Fenton, a normal teenager for once. Then he died again but not so much this time.
He is Danny Phantom. He saved the world.
And when he was confronted by his former family, because Flash fucked up again? Who knows that Bruce had a biological child and they went searching for him?
"This is my second chance, I didn't want to waste it on you."
Is what he told them, before returning to his true family.
People who did mess up sometimes but never placed blame on him whenever something went wrong. Who never hesitated to make him feel like he was family. Who, once finding out he was Phantom, was 100% on his side. Who again accepted him, when he explained who he was and what he did in his past life. Who loved him without hesitation and who made him feel like he belonged.
Sure, he misses his original family, but the stinging pain of familial rejection from being Damian hurt too much. He was healing, and he doesn't think he can quite get over it just yet.
~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~â˘~
In my mind, while beginning to be Phantom, Damian/Danny is rusty due to not trying to live a hero lifestyle. But quickly gets back into the swing of things because he does miss saving people, which unintentionally made his ghost obsession saving others.
I think it's also why he doesn't really attempt to hide his face as Phantom, he want his new family to make the connection and see their reaction. To gauge if they are anything like his past one.

Part 3 of Pieces of the Soul
Part 2 | Masterpost
Danny was excited for his trip. Clockwork had strongarmed the Observants into letting him go. Not that they could stop him, he just didnât want to come back to them trying to take over the government or placing someone else into power, claiming he had abandoned it. Again, it was not that they needed him. They only crowned him because people from other dimensions were trying to take over the Infinite Realms, stating that they had no leader/monarch. So, the Observants had told everyone since he won in single combat against Pariah Dark, he was the de facto leader. Which was alright, the zone was basically self-sufficient, sure squabbles here and there, but since they all came to an understanding that Danny was in fact, currently, the strongest ghost in existence, the fighting ceased.
Danny was then, told he could make rules for the dead. These were simple ones, you can travel to the human world, but you must live peacefully there. You can use basic self-defence within reason, and you only do non-permanent damage and psychological effects. You also cannot go out of your way to provoke violence. If they must be in the human world to fulfil their obsessions, they must do it within reason. For example, Lunch Lady was allowed into the human world to help at homeless shelters and soup kitchens for adolescents and teens, getting people their main nutrition in. Box ghost was allowed into the human world, if only he took boxes, that no one was using anymore and had no plans to use in the future. Another one was Skulker. He was allowed into the human world to hunt endangered species, but only if he promised to breed them until theyâre not endangered anymore, then release them, so he can go after a different species and repeat, thus creating an everlasting growth dynamic in different species. There were special cases for certain ghosts, that could not leave the Zone, like Spectra, Desire, Nocturn and Vortex. Well, not until they could figure out a way to use their obsessions and powers, in a non-destructive way.
Danny had created punishments for those who broke these simple rules, where he would soup them for days, months or years, depending on the crime. He also needed to be an impartial system for certain crimes committed, especially if he was involved. He has created a law enforcement and anonymous jury for these lawbreakers. If crimes were reported, investigators would go out and collect evidence, go to the jury to have it assessed, the jury would pick an appropriate sentencing, and then Danny would have to contain the ghost. So far, itâs been working, but he knows that it will have to change in the future.
Right now, he has a trip to pack for. Danny found out that the owner of the last gem, was originating from a dimension full of superheroes. Which had him weary. Danny hasnât really interacted with many other heroes in his world. He wasnât sure if he should go as former teen superhero or as college student Danny, or as King Phantom of the infinite realms. A ghost from that dimension was at his coronation; thatâs how he found out about the owner and that their name was Constantine. When he asked his demon friends, they all had bad things to say, that he didnât know how to pay his debts, that he was a horrible gambler, that he would try to talk his way out of bets he made, that he was a horrible drunk, that he was a chain smoker, and that he would promise things only to say the same to the next guy. Thatâs why they were all so willing to gamble the gems, or fragmented life lights as they called it, because they all knew that in the end, they wouldnât be getting what they wanted, a whole life light.
That made Danny hesitate, what if this guy promised to give him the last gem, only to deny him? His core burned with urgency, that gem would be his, one way or another. But he had to at least try, because from the rumours heâs been hearing, no one has been taking any bets with him and thatâs making him desperate. So Danny has a plan to get his gem, one he wouldnât usually use, deception.
Watchtower
Constantine slinks back in forth outside the meeting hall, he peeks inside to see everyone still conversing. Zatanna seems to be getting heated as she spits back a response to Deadman, who is waving his hand at Dr. Fate. Batman is watching the whole thing, not saying a peep, while Superman seems to be trying to placate Zatanna with Green Lantern. Thatâs what has him worried, Batmanâs inaction, usually, he is quipping in these types of conversations, making his opinion known, but there he is, sitting back and watching the chaos unfold, like he already knows the outcome or made his decision on the situation. Probably has.
After all, they are deciding if he should still work with the JLD. He knows this is a long time coming, with all his near-misses and demon deals. He just never expected it to be so soon, and sure he could just walk in there to declare his intent to quit but⌠Okay he doesnât want to. Heâs gotten so used to having someone watch his back in a pinch and knowing he can help more people than he did when he was on his own. There is also the added benefit of being able to flash his JL clearance nearly worldwide, it gets him places when he needs to go faster most of the time. He got used to the perks and in his last, potential, hour of need? He would kind of want to know that there will be someone there.
He just about to walk over to the kitchen to get tea when the meeting room doors open. Superman is smiling his goody-two-shoes smile, and gesturing for him to come inside, âYou can come in now, Constantine.â John walks into the room and thereâs an empty chair opposite Batman, besides the one designated for Superman right beside him. He walks as calmly and with as much swagger as he can, knowing this might be the last time heâll see any of them. When he sitâs heâs looking at everyone, not a single person gives away their thoughts, and even Zatanna, was sitting calmly watching him as well.
âSo, am I staying or do I have to find a new gig?â He askâs slumping in his seat slightly and clasping a hand to his pocket, feeling for his cigarette case. âIâll smoke at least one in the Justice League Tower, before I dieâ, he thinks as Batman begins speaking. âAre the rumours true? That your remaining soul contracts belong to one person?â John sighs, âYeah, according to Deadman and my own spells, they all lead to the same being.â He starts to feel for his lighter, âSome new king, Phantom, defeated Pariah Dark, the old tyrant king, and now he had my soul on display as his jewellery.â Batman grumbles, âAnd now? How does that affect you?â John just finds his lighter when he feels a chill up his spine, like someone just walked over his grave. Heâs looking over his shoulder and around, âMate, I can still perform, tricks and all but itâs like, I can feel him reaching out for me.â Batmanâs narrow and sharply asks, âWhat was that?â John shudders, âI can feel when heâs touching the soul pieces. Itâs like someone dumped the largest bucket of cold water on me.â He shakes his head, âI can still do my job, itâs just now, that when I die, Iâm not sure whatâll happen.â
âThe original soul contracts state that I would belong to whoever owns the majority of my soul, that was for when I died, but since they switched hands, it might not mean the same thing. For all I know, this king of the dead, the ghost king, defeater of Pariah Dark, he could claim my soul right now. Iâve died before, Iâve been brought back, Iâm technically one of his subjects right now but Iâm still here, and that means something.â As John finishes, Deadman floats closer to say, âI also donât think King Phantom would take it, well, not right now.â This gets Zatanna going, âOh, you donât think a God-Like being who has unknown powers, who just happened to trade and get all of Constantineâs soul contracts, isnât just going to show up one day and take the remaining bits? What if he comes and takes it when the next big bad comes along, and we need Constantineâs help?â
Deadman throws his head back and groans, âCan you stop with this pity party for John, he SOLD his soul, HE, GAVE, IT, AWAY. He technically shouldnât even be here. Heâs already died and should be gone. Also, King Phantom isnât like your run-of-the-mill Ancient, heâs benevolent and loves humans. He has values many of you lack,â for a split second, Deadmanâs gaze is diverted away from Zatanna to Superman, âoooh, thereâs a story thereâ John thinks, he also thinks the rest of them saw it, âHe isnât like the living, all tricky and selfish. When you die, you transcend into something more, you are what you were when alive but more. Things are just simpler, choices are more transparent, so are your intentions. Phantom was just a normal person when he was alive, and when he died? He became powerful, he helped people, he made sure ghosts didnât harm humans or the living, he fueled his entire being to help those around him and serve justice when needed. He didnât need to, that wasnât what he was supposed to transcend into, he chose his afterlife to be useful. He was aâŚâ Deadman paused, realizing he was ranting. âA Hero.â A gruff voice finished, and they all turned to Batman. âThatâs what you were going to say, werenât you? Thatâs why you believe he wonât come for Constantine. When he died, he became a hero, even when he didnât have too. Constantine is alive right now, and thatâs why he isnât here, he values life.â
Deadman stiffens, âYeah, so?â Heâs looking in the other direction, Batman is watching more carefully and says, âBut thereâs something weâre still missing. Boston, we must know.â Deadman wilts and turns to the windows, âHe may value life, but he also knows when to take it. I heard a story, that Phantom had taken a life of a human, a single life. This human had opened a gateway between the Realms and a human dimension, which meant that he disrupted the balance, in order to keep the balance, he had to take their life. I also believe if Constantine disrupts this balance, King Phantom may take his life.â Deadman turns back, âThatâs why I vote to keep Constantine. If heâs in the JLD, we can monitor him more closely, we would know when this balance is tipped.â
Constantine is, well, bored, he learned this when researching his new âowner.â Heard it was a child, one that was goofing around in some lab, their life snuffed out in seconds. He also heard rumours that King Phantom actually kept the child, as some kind of half-zombie thing that did their bidding, to create things to keep ghosts in line. Heard other rumours that the child was actually still alive but got away by trading their soul away, and when they die, they will forever live in the Infinite Realms, unable to reincarnate. Whatever is true, heâs royally screwed over. He relays as such to the Justice League, who all gasp and revolt in disgust, speaking over one another.
He sits back and watches the chaos as everyone discusses, the merit of going after King Phantom. Itâs Batman whoâs breaking up fights this time. âENOUGHâ The sharp voice shuts everyone up and gets Constantine to pay attention again. âWe do not have time for this.â Batman stands and begins his speech, âThis child, as Constantine and Deadman put it, has sealed their fate, however accidental, and there isnât anything we can do. We donât know which dimension they originate from, we donât know who this child is and we certainly arenât strong enough if it comes to war. This Phantom resides in the Infinite Realms, who has access to every soul who has died in every dimension and can command an undead army, as Zatanna has told us. All we can do, is utilize the time we have left.â
âAs I see it, we have two options. 1, We vote to keep Constantine, and we try to minimize his death conditions, make sure he isnât tipping the scales of balance and document his knowledge. Or 2, We vote to remove Constantine from the League entirely and wish him the best.â Constantine is stunned by these options, âBabysitting or Abandonment? Whatâs your Options?â Heâs looking around when Batman continues, âVote now.â Batman is typing a few things into his arm gauntlet, and a hologram projection is appearing in front of everyone. The words âIn Favorâ and âOpposedâ are even presented to Constantine. Quickly pressing âIn Favor,â Constantine is looking around and sees that most, if not all, have already voted, and results are populating the center of the room.
âIt is done.â Batman drawls, âYou are staying in the League.â The results show a 76%-24% scale. John does a quick count of the room, and that means 6 people were willing to leave him to his own devices, which doesnât really bug him. He gets to stay. John is sitting up, hoping that this meeting is coming to an end, when Batman says, âNow, thereâs the matter of whoâs going to house you for the time being and help record your knowledge.â âBullocks,â John thinks, sinking back down his seat a bit.

Part 1 | Masterpost
Small timeline change, Damian died when he was 13. (I donât know if this is an actual timeline change, as I couldnât find out how old he was.) Also, Iâm bringing together, somewhat, 2 or 3, stories of Batman but I think you could still follow along. This is fan fiction after all.
Also I donât think this counts as a true part 2, sorry, just an expanded version of Part 1.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Bruce watched as the tissue, muscle and skin regrow onto Damian. Slowly but still so fast. His hand inches away from Damianâs face as it formed into the face of a boy he hadnât seen in a year. Alfred, Barbara, Jason, and Tim only a few feet away, watching in silence. Damianâs eyes opened slightly, a soft muted green, âFather?â They close momentarily and Damian stay floated above him for a few more seconds before he whispered, âAhki, Danyal? Go! Danyal, Go.â Bruceâs heart thumped in his chest, Danyal, Damianâs twin who died in a coup. He was there with Damian, a part of him wished he knew where Danyal was buried, maybe he could bring him back too somehow. Bruce only learnt of his death after the fact, and after Damianâs too, all he really knows is that Damian buried him alone and by hand.
A shock of electricity comes of Damianâs body, Bruce doesnât even flinch, as his body fallâs into his arms. He feels the telltale sign of life, a heartbeat, hitched breathing and the inexplicable feeling his hands grabbing at him. Bruce is hugging Damian and hearing the others whisper about, âhe did itâ and âheâs back.â Bruce pulls back and looks at Damianâs face, only to freeze.
Blue eyes, confused and scared.
Then everything is coming back to reality. The hands grabbing at him arenât to pull him closer to hug, but to push away in fright. The breathing is hitched because, now that Bruce thinks this isnât Damian, they probably havenât breathed in quite a long time. His hair is also white as snow, reminding his of the white stripe that Jason sports. The heartbeat so slow he almost canât pick it up and not getting faster, as they start to pass out in his arms. They only thing they say before passing out is, âWhereâs Ahki? Whereâs Damian?â
Alfred is the first to respond, âMaster Bruce, what is happening?â Jason is moving forward and pulling at the boy in his arms. Jason is grabbing his face, to check his eyes, grabbing his hands, and examining them, before saying, âI think this is Danyal.â Jason is staring at the boy with both bafflement and sadness. Barbara and Tim take steps forward, and look at the boy. âHow do you know?â The billion-dollar question.
âMy time with the league.â Jason starts off, âI donât actually remember much but, I do sometimes remember Damian and who I thought was Damian. I knew there was a way to tell them apart besides the eyes, they have small tattoos on their wristâ Jason is pulling on the boy's left arm and showing them his wrist. There was a small brown freckle-like tattoo just below the thumb, set into pale skin.
Bruce is starting to feel numb. He failed. Again. But, did he? He had Damian, he knows he did. âAhki, Danyal? Go! Danyal, Goâ echoes in his head. Did Damian give up his chance to be resurrected? For his twin brother who they all never met? Bruce doesnât have time to think as he feels the pulse of Danyal get weaker. Moving with more conviction now, he has a son to check over and make sure they live. Heâs scooping up Danyalâs body and barking out, âAlfred. We need to do a medical exam.â
Amity Park
Sam and Tucker are in shock, the screaming and smell of burnt flesh fill the room. Sam will never tell anyone this, but, she can tell itâs their names heâs screaming out. Tucker had his hands clamped over his ears, the second he started wailing. Just as Sam takes a step back to run for help, Danny is falling through the portal. His hair is white, his eyes are a brilliant green and his suit is inverted, heâs stumbling towards them. It sounds like heâs choking or having trouble breathing, the sounds of âAhk- Ah- Ahk- Ahki- Ah- kiâ tumbles out his mouth.
âA key?â, Sam thinks, âWhat key?â Sam is looking around, Danny needs something, maybe this key shuts the portal off. In her panic, she is turning in circles and canât find it, sheâs asking, âWhere is it?â Tucker is grabbing her arm, and sheâs still trying to find this key. Â Sam whips her head around when she hears Danny mumble, âIn- Da- In- Dam- nât go- donâtâ She hears a distant crack of electricity and is forced to look away when a bright light blocks their view. For a moment, she thinks the portal exploded as white spots blind her vision but hears Tucker asking if Dannyâs okay. When Sam finally blinks away the spots and looks back at Danny. Danny is on his knees, the suit is back to its original color and so is his hair but his eye are still green, only paler and less luminescent.
Tucker is at Dannyâs side, making sure he isnât going to fall on his face as he suddenly falls forward, passing out. Sam quickly follows, coming to Dannyâs other side, holding him up before taking a seat behind him, letting his body fall onto hers. âTucker, go get helpâ a slight tremble in her voice but firms it up, pushing on Tuckers arm, âTUCK. GO. GET. HELP.â Tucker is getting up and running to the stairs only looking back before he ascends the steps and she can hear the giant metal door at the top of the steps being open. Sam sits in the lab with Danny leaning on her, listening to the gentle hum of the portal, the distant yelling of Tucker upstairs and Dannyâs breathing. Thereâs a silence to the room she canât quite explain, maybe itâs the moment they all realize the severity of the situation, she can no longer hear Tucker yelling, just the thunderous footsteps coming down the stairs.
To her surprise, itâs Jazz. Her eyes widen in horror and running to them, yelling Dannyâs name. Sheâs quickly followed by Mr. and Mrs. Fenton, then Mrs. Fenton is running back upstairs. Jazz is checking Dannyâs pulse and lightly tapping his cheek, whispering his name, getting weaker with every mention. Mr. Fenton is pulling him off the ground, cradling Danny to his body, checking his pulse before getting up and running to the stairs. He yells back, âJasmine. Sam. Come on, we got to get to the hospital.â
Jazz is pulling Sam off the floor and tugging her to the stairs. She feels like sheâs stuffed with cotton, her body swaying and bumping into things as they go. Once they were outside, Sam seeâs Tucker in Fentonâs non-teched-out van, Mrs. Fenton in the driverâs seat with Mr. Fenton standing beside the Van holding Danny. Jazz is pulling her along and shoving her into the van, mumbling sorry, before following. As they all sit side-by-side, Mr. Fenton is laying Danny across their laps. âHold on tight,â he says before getting into the passenger seat, and they are off.
When they get to the hospital, there are 3 nurses and a gurney waiting. They barely get to a stop when Mr. and Mrs. Fenton are opening their doors and coming to their door. Mr. Fenton is gently pulling Danny of their laps and is setting him on the gurney, Jazz is following behind as they 5 adults take off with Danny.
Sam and Tucker sit in the Van a few more seconds before jumping out. They hold hands and try to follow Jazz. They tug at one another when one falls behind, they ground each other in the possible death of their friend. They stop when they catch up, the doctors are asking what happened while the nurses set up leads on Danny. The Fentonâs all stare at them, which make the doctors look at them, as they say, âWhat happened?â
Sam is squeezing Tuckerâs hand before saying, âWe were just goofing off.â Tucker continues with, âDanny had tripped and then⌠he was screaming.â Sam in a daze says, âI think he was electrocuted.â The doctor nod, and ask "Anything else?", they both shake their heads. The doctors step forward and say, âI think the kids should go away in the lobby.â Theyâre calling out for tests and blood work to be done on Danny.
