My absolute goal as an independent artist is to create my own graphic novels, games, and stories. I also like doing murals and selling my products at conventions, shows, and art spaces.

A bit back I started on a little project to make character designs based on the playable riders in the upcoming game! I might tune these up some more later but I'm very pleased with what I have so far!

I'm still figuring out names, but for now: Goobert(👀) is a mysterious fellow who travels around all alone. He shows up every now and again to give Poppet his aid. They're the closest of friends!

For those wondering where 12 & 24 are, I didn't design characters for those days! Instead, I tried my hand at some backgrounds. May or may not share those later depending on how I'm feeling.
Now admittedly, there is more to this project but it's not so pressing where I need to share it all right now. It was fun to do and fun to revisit!

Greetings everyone! For Day 12, I'm skipping over my monster challenge to share one of my most precious characters. This OC is my interpretation of the god, Anansi. Anansi is an African-Diaspora mythic figure, trickster, and folktale hero (also the God of Wisdom). His presence in the world is in the public domain as a concept, but this particular rendition of him is mine alone!
He was initially designed for a defunct setting, but I've successfully revised and retrofitted him for my purposes. I would love to like, draw some comics with him as a presiding force, but one thing at a time.
He's distinctly Afrocentric, but if you couldn't tell by his appearance and vibe, he's generally not perceived as any kind of nobility, and is inspired more by his duplicitous nature as a trickster. Maybe I'll share more about him later. This post features art and sketches from throughout the years!

Anansi takes after an archetype of characters I really like designing (crazy old men). He's not a bad dude, but I hope it's clear that he's much more of a rogue than he is a dignified representation of who he may be regularly perceived as.
I'm posting him today, the 12th day of October, because 12 is also the numbered place of 'The Hanged Man' in Major Arcana. While that 100% is not Anansi's de facto tarot card, it is one of my personal favorites and I think it was fitting to upload him. I originally finished the first piece towards the end of October in 2022!
I have like, a veritable cavalcade of OC's inspired (directly and otherwise) by mythology and folktale. Maybe I'll talk more about them later, but I'm not pressed! I might work on some of these pieces now that I've remembered they existed haha, but we'll see.
For Days 8, 9, and 10, I bring to you a Wolfman, a Mummy, and a Vampire! These strange trick-or-treaters are OCs of mine and are for one of my projects. They're best of friends and live in a place that exists in the space between the realms of mortals and spirits!

Just a little alien gastropod guy. If it were a pokemon it'd be an Ultra Beast, Ground/Flying. It's a pretty perfect design, I don't feel like iterating more on it.
I'm more interested in days 08, 09, and 10- which I'll put up all at once on the 10th!
