You both get home after a long night together at the bar or a house party. A has drank significantly more than B has so B helps them to bed. As B is stripping A out of their party clothes, they lay on their back on the bed. A’s hand lays across their tummy, rubbing it a little while B starts to take off their shoes. “you drank a lot huh…you feel alright? You should drink some water.” they say as they toss the shoes to the side. A’s only response was a slurry “S’okay” but it indeed was not. A was drunk, drunker than they have been in a long time. they themselves hadn’t realized how much they have drank. Not until now that they are lying in the bed and they could feel their head spinning. “ugh…” they groan, swallowing hard. B pauses from what they were doing. A was lying with their eyes tightly closed, barely moving. B could see A’s face getting more pale, their adams apple bobbing as they keep swallowing. B’s eye brow furrows in concern as they reach up to caress their lovers face. “my dear…you drank yourself sick”

“no-“ A tries to protest. They were simply just drunk, they had drank too much is all and they just needed to sleep it off. But they could feel the alcohol in their stomach burning and churning. They let out a small burp and B brings the trashcan closer to the bed. “just tired” they add to their protest. “awww…my lover” B says, crawling into bed beside their partner. A lays in nothing but their boxers now and B can see the discomfort written all over their face. “baby it’s okay” they sooth, caressing their chest.

A rolls to their side with a groan, saliva starting to fill their mouth. it suddenly dawns on them that they are indeed going to puke and they can’t stop it. “hey..sit up come on” B says, slowly helping A into a sitting position. they plop the trash can into A’s lap as they let out a gag. “you’re alright” B soothes, pushing the hair from A’s forehead.

A sways in their place as they continue to gag in front of the trash can. they pant as the nausea grows. their head was spinning even worse now that they were sitting up right and B kept them steady by placing a hand on A’s back. It wasn’t long until torrents of alcohol began to gush out of A.

When a character with some sort of medical background is dangerously sick or injured, and they're definitely not in any state to treat themself but on autopilot they start listing out their symptoms in clinical language. Like they can't help but fall back on the familiar routine instead of processing the implications

the usual casual and “suffer in silence type” turning into a clingy mess before your eyes. it’s the vulnerability behind it all. The unconditional love you have for that person desensitizing you to the puke dripping off their lips. You don’t care about the snot leaking from their nose, and maybe even onto you if you’re being used as a pillow. the way they seek you in specifically out to find comfort. Doing small tasks for them because the fever wreaking havoc over their body is making them too weak to care to hide it.

my bug is usually like this. he tries to hide the fact that he doesn’t feel well, but i can always tells because he becomes extremely clingy. Even when he’s just really sleepy. Whenever he’s physically uncomfortable, he gets really quiet and just holds onto me.

Been thinking about a healer in the heroes/villains world who refuses to take a side and brings in anyone who shows up injured at their doorstep. Doesn’t matter what uniform whumpee is wearing, Caretaker only cares about nursing them back to health.

Villains, of course, show up often, wounded and grateful for Caretaker’s asylum. They know they’ll be treated with respect and allowed to leave freely. Heroes, on the other hand, flow to Caretaker’s place more gradually. Heroes who are too ashamed to get help back at HQ, or that are severely injured and found on the street. Almost all civilians in the area know exactly where Caretaker is.

Most significantly, Caretaker enforces neutrality at their place. If a hero and villain happen to be there at the same time, they can’t fight each other. At the very least, civility is mandatory. But in more urgent situations, they’re frequently asked to help the other one that’s more seriously injured.

Both heroes and villains constantly try to recruit Caretaker to their side. But Caretaker always refuses, saying they’re already doing their part. And in the end, it’s because of their work that the fighting ends. So many heroes and villains have passed through Caretaker’s doors and been forced to get along, or even heal each other, that they can no longer see each other as enemies.

maybe it's a lycanthropic attack. whumpee is brought to the village healer with a series of bloody incisions that appear undoubtedly jaw-shaped. they're barely conscious, breathing erratically and producing little whines or groans as healer checks their wound. the healer bounds whumpee to a wooden table and presses silver to their skin for hours. it sizzles when it meets the flesh, causing them to shriek in pain. black, infected blood seeps from the open wounds. whumpee begs for it to stop, swears they won't hurt anyone if the transformation occurs. but the healer doesn't let up. they push more and more silver harder and harder into the skin, the wound, of whumpee until the infection is drained and their blood runs red...if they have any left.

Just wanted to bring to your attention that the term whump was actually coined by the Stargate fandom specifically to describe making this guy suffer. He is the original Mr. Whump (no that's not his actual name). That's how torturable this guy is.
