I’m coming BACK
I ran 8 miles
It wasn’t perfect, it was slow but I did it and I could have kept going. 🏃🏻♀️🙌🏼🎉
I went on the group run after work planning to do the 4 mile route. Followed two people I thought we taking that route until I saw them miss the turn and realized they were doing the 6 mile route, so I decided to just do that. I haven’t ran 6 miles in a long time and my back tightened up a lot to the point I had to stop and stretch after 4. However, it was a good 6 miles 🤕🌞🏃
It’s amazing how much better running can feel with new shoes and inserts. May not be the speed or mileage I’m accustomed to, but I’m working on it.
RIGHT so when I started my sociology course in college, my teacher stated us off with
‘well I guess we have to do icebreakers. i’m Jon, and I fear bears. why do I fear bears? because bears can run at 30 miles per hour and Chester Zoo is 30 miles away. that means a bear can be outside this door in an hour. why would a bear be here? because they can smell fear and I fear them.’

best sleeping conditions: freezing fucking cold room but layers and layers of blankets
this speaks to me.
Scientifically, it’s because sleeping in a cooler environment (freezing cold room) and also sleeping under some physical pressure (blankets) - especially of you have anxiety and/or insomnia - is actually the most ideal sleeping condition.
My life
#wow it’s nice to be scientifically validated

no i’m not gonna lend you my pencil because if i lend you my pencil then you’ll want my calculator and then you’ll want austria and czechoslovakia and then you’ll end up invading poland and i will not have that shit
My aesthetic is a nice sundress with Birkenstocks and my Garmin
My 20s aren’t my selfish years. My 20s are my hustle decade. Finish school get money pay back my loans establish myself work hard to create the foundation of a good life so that I can enjoy what’s coming next. Like yes I’d love to backpack across India or something but I’m broke! I have bills! I could quit my job take my meager savings and go on a 2 month trip and then what??? no job no home cause I got kicked out for not paying rent lmao
Enough. Maybe your 20s were the funtime years decades ago but not anymore. Don’t feel like you’re wasting your life bc you’re not hitchhiking in Europe or something. You’re doing fine. You’re doing what you can and that’s all that matters.
you have no idea how much I needed this holy crap thank you
thank you
When you get told to pack your suitcases because youre going to nationals…
i can’t wait for this feeling again
I still love how your first instinct was to stop your watch haha
@what-the-fartlek habit 😂 but everyone makes fun of me for that. I had to get the correct amount of minutes for our cool down duh 😂
My favorite workouts are the ones where you wake up early and drag yourself out of bed thinking, “I don’t want to do this”
And you drink your coffee and eat your banana and lace up your shoes , all the while saying, “I don’t want to do this”
During the warm up, your only thought is “I don’t want to do this”
But then, foot poised in front of the starting line, you take a deep breath and take the first step and immediately everything clicks into place and you feel like you’re flying, and when the last repeat is over you say to yourself
“I’m so glad I did that”
a love story for the ages (x)
Love it 😂😂😂
The hardest part of the run isn’t the last few miles, it’s when the alarm goes off and you have to remember why you set that alarm and why you want this. Get up. Shoes on. Run.
