it’s a convenient pivot too for when this is contained and doctors/nurses start demanding benefits and better protections - see, a REAL hero doesn’t ask for a “reward” (nevermind that its shit they should’ve had the whole time). when medical staff protest, guarantee the first step taken against them will be claiming these manipulative, greedy people were only posing as heroes for personal gain.
