Concept: introducing J'onn to Pusheen
I bet they have a Pusheen + Chocos collab.
I can just see him stoicly staring down at the Pusheen holding a Choco, unfamiliar with the crushing need he is feeling to give in to consumerism and buy every Pusheen + Chocos product.
He also gets lots of alien Pusheens and ones that remind him of JLA/JLI members. (Like a mermaid pusheen for Aquaman.) Especially when the Justice League realizes they now have an easy gift idea for him.
He is slightly embarrassed, but they bring so much comfort and whimsy to his day.
It probably started as a gag gift from someone like Flash, Ollie, a Green Lantern, Supes, or Wonder Woman. They were out shopping and stopped when they saw the Chocos Colab Pusheen plush and just KNEW they had to get it for J'onn.
Now he is lowkey obsessed, and his mug/s at JLA HQ (and maybe even at his civilian job) are Pusheen. It's like a hazing ritual to let new members be confused by the Pusheen mug in a sea of superhero logos in the kitchen, followed by the paradigm shift that comes with seeing J'onn with it for the first time. Just floating there with his swishing cape, somber/stoic demeanor, and a cute mug.
As for adding whimsy to his day, he usually has a plush he greets and maybe talks to as he comes and goes from his apartment.
When he wants to make a point about someone's behavior during a conversation, he may start talking to the Pusheen on his mug for agreement. "Perhaps you... ...Don't you agree, Pusheen? See, even Pusheen can see it." This is usually followed by an angry unimpressed stare of a hero that knows they have been fully called out and hates that they can't get out of facing the truth or advice now.
Yes to all of this. He also gets Double Stuff, his cat, Pusheen toys and cat stuff as well
Yes, perfect! And the perfect excuse to have Pusheen all over the house to brighten up the place. I can see the pastel placemat for Double Stuff's food bowl that's covered in tiny Pusheens. A Pusheen cat bed in the living room. J'onn doesn't do much decorating or interior design, so the items really stick out amongst the darker, plainer furniture.
