I want to state, for the record, that “all the avengers would live together in the tower” wasn’t collective headcanon, it was canon. The very last scene of Avengers (2012), the one they left us on, is Tony redesigning the tower, designing a living area for each Avenger. That was, canonically, what was supposed to happen, in canon, and they just changed their minds and decided to… not. For whatever goldarn reason.

Do I have a story for you…

So this is the iconic and beloved clock of Moszkva square in Budapest, Hungary. Or more precisely it was.

It was a very popular meeting point for generations.

„2pm on Moszkva, under the clock?” „sure” It was in the middle of the square, so you could see each other pretty easily from anywhere.

When they „renovated” (rebuilt) and renamed the square that is now called Széll Kálmán tér (only by youngsters and tourists who don’t know any better - it will remain for a lot of us „the Moszkva”) the old clock was removed.

So. Removing the clock was very controversial, but it had to go, because someone dreamed about a new shiny one. Here it is. New, and weird and DIGITAL.

The problem is, it stopped working. For days. (you see, fixing it was time-consuming…) And they came and fix it. But it broke down in a couple of days again and again, so the lovely people around helped to fix it. Some of the best solutions:

I just remembered I have a Miraculous ladybug art book in my room. So I opened it up, and found something interesting about Hawkmoth. Well, actually the 2D Hawkmoth.

Here are the pages about him, and his evil organization. The name of the organization is 페르그 in Korean. I don't know if this is Ferg of Perg or Pergue in English.

According to the artbook, 2D Hawkmoth was named Papillion, which is the French name of the current Hawkmoth. And his name wasn't Gabriel Agreste, it was Richard Sphinx.

So, I suppose Hawkmoth wasn't Chat noir's father in the 2D version? That makes me wonder how they became related in the current version...

Anyway, 2D Hawkmoth has an insight of the future, with the help of the fairy Null. Null has a plan of making the world back to 0, and is the reason why Tikki and Plagg are stuck in earings and a ring.

It's interesting to see that Tikki and Plagg were not supposed to be in earings and a ring in the first place. Looks like the miraculous wasn't a sacred jewelry in the 2D version.

Also, Null seems to be the prototype of Nooroo. And despite that Null is actually the bad gut. Looks like there were many changes when Miraculous Ladybug became 3D.

Back to the art book, 2D Hawkmoth is a man with great wealth and great eloquence. And he is obsessed with wealth and desire for domination, to forget about his missing wife.

Looks like Hawkmoth's wife was missing in the first place. Well, it is unknown if she's really missing or sleeping or dead in the 2D version.

And unlike the current version 2D Hawkmoth tried to forget about his wife. How interesting he is not obsessed with his missing wife and rather wealth, unlike the current Hawkmoth.

And finally, 2D Hawkmoth has a secretary. Her name is pokerface, and her real name is...uh, I'll call her Adoni Dooser. There's no English name revealed, only 아도니 두서...So Adoni Dooser for a while.

She has the power to make everyone in the world emotionless. And she is in love with 2D Hawkmoth, but it's an emotion that cannot be fulfilled, and she understands it. She is a loyal secretary to 2D Hawkmoth.

I suppose Adoni Dooser is the prototype of Natalie. She is the secretary of Hawkmoth, who else could it be? And it is confirmed that she is in love with Hawkmoth. That explains the Gabriel and Natalie stuff I guess.

It's interesting to find her powers is making people emotionless. It is kinda the opposite of Natalie, a.k.a. Mayura's power, which use emotions and make sentimonsters.

By the way, I found that Adonis means a type of butterfly in French. Since Papillion means butterfly in French, I suppose this is where her name came from?

Unfortunately, there was no information about the other two on the sides. They look like 2D Hawkmoth's henchmen though. I wonder who they were supposed to be. Maybe the prototype of Gorilla?

Also, I found that Mr. Pigeon and Mimeman had a partner fairy in the 2D version. Which is cool, cause they were not just akumatized villains but villains who are partners with fairies.

This information makes me want to see the 2D version of Miraculous Ladybug so bad...I wish I could see that version in an alternate universe.

Under the mask of Chat Noir hides Felix. Felix is a classmate of Marinette, and he's popular among girls. Marinette loves Felix, but Felix has no interest on her. He loves Ladybug, whom he can meet as Chat Noir, but he doesn't know her identity is Marinette.

He has a speciality on athletics and boxing, and when he rotates his ring he can transform to Chat Noir. Felix is more cheerful as Chat Noir.

I saw a post going around with some new translations from the Korean Miraculous artbook, and apparently Felix boxes of all things. I love it. 

And of course, when siblings practice different martial arts they have to go head to head. There’s very little parenting in the Agreste household so the twins have developed their own system to resolve arguments! 😘

I remember my parents visiting the US a decade or two ago and talking about how surprised they were that the US media scarcely talks about things happening outside the country. That kind of made sense, I thought. There’s a lot of the US to talk about. Whereas the entire population of Australia is less than the population of Texas.

Then I found out how little they tell the population about things that happen inside the country. I remember seeing multiple Americans being like, ‘What do you mean other countries give us help when we have wildfires.’

And I – an Australian – was like, uhhh. We send over people and specialised firefighting choppers regularly. (And Australian firefighters have specialised knowledge there – the reason that Californian wildfires are so bad is because there was a mass planting of eucalyptus trees, which are oil rich and well adapted to surviving bushfires.)

I grew up with the evening news reporting on our bushfires saying things like ‘the US has sent over a crew and additional choppers to help fight the blaze in country New South Wales, and the CFA expects that they should have it under control soon.’ But the reverse doesn’t seem to be true in the US.

That brought home to me just how much of the US news is filtered to emphasise the US’s emphasis on individualism. It’s harder to sound believable about how little you need others when other countries are regularly pitching in to help keep your wildfires under control. It’s hard to keep a consistent message going about US exceptionalism if you admit that the country you vilify regularly as being full of people who are champing at the bit to invade your country are actually there on the ground helping you recover from a natural disaster.

compared to hawks, falcons have shorter and weaker talons and shorter beaks! this, combined with a lighter overall build, means that falconkind is really badly unsuited to do the hawk/eagle/owl thing where they just plunge out of the sky and stab a rabbit to death with their feet.

so what they do instead is fly really high in the air, keeping an eye out for unwary birds they could get the drop on, and then they DROP. and as they drop, they curl their talon into a fist, which they use to strike their unwary prey at speeds well in excess of a hundred miles per hour. (this either stuns or outright kills the unlucky target) 

and this method works so well that they can even take down birds much larger than themselves, like ducks!
