i accidentally clicked onto and off of the "explore" page very quickly, and in the second or so that the explore page was onscreen i saw a beautiful photoshopped image that may infact be nothing like how i saw it due to the speed at which it appeared and disappeared.... but still. what i saw was beautiful

saying this as a lesbian who loves women's boobs--sexually, even! but i don't think that we as a society should consider breasts inherently female or inherently sexual. a flat chest should not be seen as the "default" for gender neutrality but instead just one way a person can present. boobs should be normal. anyone of any gender can have boobs

I miss when ads were a single click and then they’re gone. Now every ad has a minimum of three phases where you watch a video, exit the still frame of fake gameplay, and then exit the app download. That doesn’t even touch on the ones that forcibly take you to another app after opening a tab in safari without you ever touching the screen.

I hate advertising. I hate that you can’t do anything without companies jumping down your throat with mostly bullshit ads. I hate that billboards exist. I hate that every company unanimously decided to make their ads longer and longer. I hate that ad blockers try to charge you money and there are in app purchases to remove ads. I hate that my attention has become commodified. I hate that there’s nothing I can do about it.

btw I am not blaming anyone for this but do you know how bad at teaching most TAs are, and how little support they get at becoming better teachers? sooo much writing instruction is outsourced to people who have never been in front of a classroom before, and to people in the humanities who consider teaching in writing programs to be beneath them, btw. and some of them have been my colleagues and friends, and everyone has to start somewhere, but yeesh. everything’s tight right now but if some minor amount of money could be diverted from [various projects that make universities look good to donors but don’t contribute to teaching], so much could be done !

I recently found my “gold” hammer after misplacing it. It’s my favorite tool ever because it looks like a regular hammer trying to be fancy,

but then you twist both halves and unscrew it to find a flat-head screwdriver in the middle.

BUT, if you twist the very end and unscrew that

you find a phillips screwdriver.

BUT DON’T THINK THAT’S ALL THERE IS! THERE’S MORE!! unscrew the very end again to find a smaller flat-head screwdriver!

BUT THAT’S STILL NOT THE END!!

I have one of these and I keep it in my IT toolkit because that teeny little screwdriver is the right side for laptop casings, but because it lives inside a large object it’s harder to misplace than a standard tiny screwdriver. Also because the look on a client’s face when you bring out a brass hammer to fix their laptop is absolutely wild.

when i was first introduced to braun there was no way in the world i could have guessed that tv head ghost story would go on to have a full turbulent relationship arc with the mc including a honeymoon phase followed by a messy breakup then an on and off situationship where the mc's friends keep telling him "girl just break UP with him, you know hes toxic af!!" and him replying "but what if he really loves me" and Bad Boy Braun hitting a vape and going "thats right, dont listen to your friends who are trying to keep us apart, you know ill always love you babygirl" and they really are in love but they really are toxic but he wont break it off because hes still holding out hope that their relationship could go back to the way it used to be
