getting rid of tracking in these is easy, just delete everything after the question mark and you are golden

first you have to delete at. that appears before tumblr(.)com the other tracking shit on this one has a lot more info, so please, clean app urls. after the first set of numbers, there's a / you have to delete everything after it

I understand why some people think Kara killing Krem at the end invalidated what she spent the whole movie telling Ruthye—but hear me out

Krem didn't deserve to live. He was a pedophile, a murderer, and a sex trafficker

Kara Zor-El knew that he shouldn't be allowed to live bc he'd just keep doing what he was doing

But does her murdering him in place of Ruthye invalidate her teaching Ruthye "murder is wrong"?

Well, no bc i dont rlly think the message was "murder is wrong"

It was "dont let your grief and rage consume you"

If Ruthye had murdered Krem in her grief and anger it would've consumed her. Kara didnt want her to live with that. She sacrificed a part of herself to kill Krem, so Ruthye wouldn't have to be the one who did it

Yes, Krem was a piece of shit who deserved to die

But that doesn't mean the 13 yr old girl whose entirely family was murdered should've been the one to kill him. Lets not put that on her to do. She shouldn't have to. Kara knew that, its why she did it instead

Look I don't think Supergirl (2026) is secretly a perfect masterpiece or anything (I personally thought it was like. a 6/10 fun time) but I do think it's wild that Tumblr isn't going crazy for it because this Kara is one coattailed suit away from being a Tumblr sexyman. she is the flawed messy female character people have supposedly been clamouring for. she's the popular archetype of a gruff self-destructive alcoholic middle-aged man begrudgingly having to look after a kid and growing fond of them but genderswapped and also 23. she's allowed to be visibly messy and kind of gross and her hair is constantly all over the place and she literally cries, screams, throws up, and pisses onscreen. she's caustic and mean and puts up an act of carelessness but has a heart of gold. she's heavily traumatised and coping with it terribly. if anything happens to her dog she will kill everyone in this room and then herself. she spends most of the movie in a trench coat and baggy band T-shirt. she gets into bar brawls and breaks a guy's hand. she is Going Through It 24/7 and looks the part. she stabs a guy in the throat. how is everyone else not obsessed with her.

Of course they don’t like Milly Alcock’s Supergirl. She’s a grown ass woman with zero love interests who spends the movie saving her dog, casually dismantling a sex trafficking ring while she’s at it, and preaching the importance of being good, not nice or smiley or cheerful but good. I for one adored the movie and I really hope I’ll get to see more of Alcock’s Supergirl she’s now my favorite iteration of her and I love her so dearly.

Raven had been hearing about a powerful magic user making waves in the community. Apparently this woman was able to wield both life and death magics easily, and had made a lot of alliances in the past few months within the supernatural community. She was powerful enough and mysterious enough that Justice League Dark was sending a team in.

Luckily, she was known for owning a large garden and flower shop. So they decided that Zatara, Constantine, and Raven would all go to assess the threat.

They could feel the magic even before the shop was in sight. The thick protection spells around the building were definitely a warning, and Raven could tell part of the building was being masked with an invisibility and unable to perceive spell, both significantly powerful.

The bell chimed as they entered the shop. The asthetic was dark colors and soft lighting. Many of the usual flowers and plants were there, like roses and ivy, but there were some magic plants too, like nightbloom and moonflowers. There were even some plants that she thought were extinct, like Ambrosia and Calamite flowers.

Then, a woman entered and Raven nearly short circuited. She had long black hair and violet eyes, with a long black flowing dress. Her purple lips curved into a smirk as dark violet eyes ran over Raven’s body, making her almost shiver.

The cops very clearly planted evidence on him because they had to make an arrest because all eyes were on them and whoever actually did the deed was making them look stupid.

Why would the real killer hero have kept the weapon on his person and traveled two states over while carrying it and a manifesto in his bag, conveniently turning the crime into a federal matter? The same guy whose bag they found in a park, filled with monopoly money? Why did the police turn off their bodycams, take Luigi's stuff, drive a block away, turn their bodycams back on, go back into the restaurant, and then arrest him?

From the moment of his arrest, even left-of-center media has been presuming his guilt without examining anything (e.g. calling him "the killer" instead of "alleged" or "accused") and then when I say he didn't do it, the nearest person chimes in with some quip that tells me they think he did do it but should go free anyway. Don't get me wrong, I would have the same attitude if he had done it. But he didn't. It makes me feel like the only sane person in the world, even among my staunchly leftist friends.

all that being said regarding a guilty conscience--there are some political issues where it seems literally the only way to get through to people is to make them feel guilty. they are so detached from the problem due to circumstance that you can only get self reflection by tapping into emotional responses.
