Our Ciel is the complete opposite of a “spare.” Sebastian chose our Ciel. He’s the one who changed all of the servants’ lives, including Sebastian’s. Our Ciel can hold his own against a demon when it comes to wits and cunning. Our Ciel continuously surprises a centuries old demon who pretty much thought he has seen it all. That’s how special he is. Our Ciel is so smart and strong, he mastered all the learning it took to be the head of an earldom before he even turned 12. Our Ciel was the one who came to truly love Lizzie and tried to be the best fiancé he could be. He was the one indulging her cute fancies while still appreciating how badass she is. Our Ciel took on the work of the Watchdog and has slain so many dirty rats for the Queen.
He might have stolen it all, but don’t you dare tell me he doesn’t own it.
I do believe that our Ciel will regain his self-control in this situation.
In the previous arc his feelings were almost the same, he felt miserable, he said that he is not worth of protection. But he overcame it (ironically enough, it was his brother who finally helped him to do it) and returned to his strong self. And he PROMISED to his servants that he won’t let that situation repeat again.
I think it’s just common sense but sadly, some people seem to lack it, so here’s a PSA (please read & spread this):
Do NOT send any pictures of the latest chapter to Yana’s twitter account.
Apparently, she had to delete one of her recent tweets because a foreign fan replied to it with spoiler pictures. Thus, the chapter got totally spoilt for a lot of fans who accidentally saw that tweet :(
Seriously, everyone’s pissed off (I had already seen the pictures on tumblr but I’m still pissed off too because it was a very important tweet in which Yana wrote her thoughts on the latest chapter), so please think a little before sending any messages to Yana.
Also, several people have sent text spoilers to her before the official release date (replies like “I can’t believe Agni is ****!”).
You can share spoilers all you want, but do it within your circle of friends. Don’t share them on the creator’s twitter account which everyone, including people who haven’t read the chapter yet, can see.

When the F5 reveal themselves, they sing their own song to the people at the music hall. This was to draw people to Ciel’s music hall, of course, but I can’t help but think there’s more meaning to their song. More than likely, this song was written by Sebastian, and it wasn’t really even all that important if the people stop to question the lyrics. That wasn’t important, but that doesn’t mean there still isn’t meaning.
Here’s the beginning of the song with the lines, “A papery night sky, imitation star! A magic lantern spins, this boring Saturday night!”
Something being ‘papery’ could mean that it’s thin and fragile. Also, a paper sky would be a fake one, like the imitation star. This could mean that the cult and Bravat are fakes. The ‘light’ that Bravat talks about is nothing more than a lantern. It might be nice to look at for a bit, but it’s really nothing out of the ordinary.
The next part of the song is. “A dark night sky, destruction star.” I think this might refer to Sebastian and/or Ciel. The darkness they have to offer is real and their light destructive. It’s far more exciting. “It’s not just a pretty sight this thrilling, sleeping night.” Unlike the lantern from the first part, the F5 are offering more. There’s more than just something nice to look at. “Say goodbye to the child who played with toys. Now take my hand. I’ll take you there tonight!” This imagery about saying goodbye to a child might mean that what the the F5′s music hall has to offer is more real and more adult. It has a bit of danger and it’s a risk.
The final line is, “To the new promised land.” This plays off Bravat’s offer for peace and happiness, which sounds like it’s own promised land. The F5 is offering that, but in a way that’s more exciting, a bit of danger, and with an edge.
I’m not sure if the people caught on to all this, but they were aware that the F5 was different. The S4 are in safe, mostly white outfits, but the F5 are daring and bold with their darker, wilder clothes.
@shinigami-mistress, can I add my thoughts? I can offer only my associations about the first part. They are based on YP translation (unfortunately, I haven’t seen Japanese raws) and too technical (maybe because of I am partly an engineer of cinema and television, haha). Magic Lantern is a type of image projector. This projector used painted pictures, so my first thought was about this projector. And that paper night sky is painted on the special paper sky. And magic lantern spins this pictures and creates imitation of the stars.
Since I was intrigued by @abybweisse‘s locket’s music theory, I asked a friend of mine, Alena, to play this combination. Here is the result, she played it in 3 different ways.

Yes! It’s true. Othello has committed one of the worst fashion sins. But he’s a scientist and he hasn’t been in the human world for almost 50 years so at least that can be his excuse. Maybe Nina should talk to him for a while. XD
@thedarkestcrow has an interesting article about the symbolism of the representative flowers of the four Weston dormitories. I want to continue this theme with my own thoughts about the symbolism of the animals, which we can see in the logo of each dormitory, and how former prefects suited to their dormitories.
Green House - Green Lion
Distinctive features: physical strength; students of this house have talent to a variety of sports and martial arts.
Former Prefect: Herman Greenhill.
Lion has a dual meaning, carrying the personification of both good and evil. On the one hand, lion symbolizes the greatness, strength and courage, fortitude, justice, law, military power. On the other hand - cruelty, ferocity, animal life.
All these characteristics ideally fit to Greenhill. He has great physical strength, he is great at playing cricket. And he was the one who was disgusted with
Derrick’s injustice. In the name of justice and law (traditions) of Weston, he flew into a rage like a beast and committed murder.
Red House - Scarlet Fox
Distinctive features: a noble origin.
Former prefect: Edgar Redmond
In most cases, the fox is a negative hero, personifying a cunning, deceit, falsehood, deceit, selfishness.
I think these qualities can be attributed to Redmond. He was the one who offered to hide traces of the crime, to create the appearance like nothing has happened. Wolf is a part of the pack, he carries the principles of cohesion and unity. At the same time, he is associated with loneliness, individuality and independence. He is not like the others, he is different. Wolf has always been associated with borderline situations, overcoming moments.
Violet has shown his solidarity with the prefects, when he closed the door during the violence on Derrick and the others, not allowing them to escape. He officiate like other prefects, but at the same time he is different. When prefects say something, Violet never utters speech with them, usually he is silent, as if just share everything with them in silence.
Blue House - Sapphire Owl
Distinctive features: an excellent study, high level of knowledge.
Former prefect: Lawrence Bluer
Owl is a symbol of erudition and knowledge. But apart from that these birds stand for turn away from spiritual light, evil, crime, death, a bad omen.
Bluer is the best student of Weston, so no one doubts his level of knowledge. However, he went on the crime, was an accomplice, turned away from the 'light'.
On the current arc:
In Russian folklore there are a lot of fairy tales, in which Fox deceives Wolf. We have both Fox and Wolf. What if sly Fox has already fooled Wolf, ensnared
him into the music hall?
If you’ve read my Cards Theory, you may also began to suspect Druitt in the connection with Undertaker.
Yesterday I was rereading Campania arc and I noticed something else that supports the idea of some sort of connection between these two. So, Ryan Stoker said about the existence of a certain device that can stop the moving corpses [Bizarre Dolls]. Ron and Grell go for this device with him. Ciel and Sebastian go their own way and meet Viscount Druitt. Despite being on a sinking ship, filled with moving corpses, Viscount does not look scared and does not even attempt to leave the ship.
What does he want to protect? But then he said something even more interesting.
Puppets? Spoke too much?
Since I do not trust anyone's translations, I took my personal 13 volume of the manga and began to reread these pages. So here's what I found:
Look at kanji, it seems that they are really talking about the same. In Undertaker’s speach Yana added kana ド ー ル [doll], to create an English atmosphere and define unambiguous interpretation and meaning of this kanji [because it can be translated as ‘puppet’].
And there is a lot of questions. Did Druitt know everything from the beginning? Could this be a hint from Yana that Viscount knew even how these "creatures" were called? Maybe he used them for his own purposes? What was on the ship that he wanted to protect?
And a little addition, I think you had noticed it without me. Viscount always amused us because he does not recognize Ciel in his various disguises. Although he met Ciel few times: a) at the ball in his estate [Ripper Arc], b) could see him on the Curry Festival [but not sure], c) on Campania at the presentation of "revival process" [Ciel in disguise] d) on the ship [Ciel in his usual form]. And all the time he did not recognize him. Every time we heard from Druitt something like: "Who are you, How do you know me?"
Now Druitt calls him 'cock robin’ as in their very first meeting. What if even then he realized that it was Ciel Phantomhive?
