These Christmas Tree Spinach Dip Breadsticks are a fun and tasty appetizer that are great for holiday parties. The golden-brown breadstick trees hold the creamy spinach dip, which makes it a great addition to your holiday spread.
Ingredients: 1 tube refrigerated breadstick dough. 1 10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained. 1 cup sour cream. 1 cup mayonnaise. 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese. 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. 1/2 cup chopped artichoke hearts. 1/4 cup chopped red bell pepper. 1/4 cup chopped green onions. 1 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. Cooking spray.
Instructions: Before you start cooking, heat the oven to 375F 190C. Take the tube of chilled breadstick dough out of the fridge and cut it into strips. Roll up each strip into a long rope. Wrap each rope around itself three times to make a Christmas tree shape on a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper. Spray a little cooking spray on the Christmas trees and bake them in a hot oven for 10 to 12 minutes, or until they turn golden brown. Add the drained spinach, sour cream, mayonnaise, mozzarella cheese, Parmesan cheese, chopped artichoke hearts, red bell pepper, green onions, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper to a mixing bowl. While the breadsticks are baking. Combine well. Let the breadsticks cool down a bit after they're done. With care and a knife, cut a small slit about halfway down the middle of each breadstick tree. The spinach dip will fit inside this pocket. Use a spoon or a piping bag to put some spinach dip into each pocket. Put the filled breadstick trees back in the oven and bake for another 5 to 7 minutes, or until the dip is hot and bubbly. Take it out of the oven and let it cool down a bit before you serve it. Put the breadsticks with the Christmas tree spinach dip on a serving platter so that they look like a tree. Enjoy while still warm!
