commissioned @bethfuller to do some art of my ranger/rogue Adrien Willoughsby and she did a fantastic job! It’s everything I had hoped it’d turn out to be and you should definitely go follow Beth if you don’t already and take a look at her art!

If you're comfortable accusing anyone of faking disability, you're not a real ally to disabled people
One time when I was a kid a group of girls and I had to treat another student for hypothermia by ourselves because she had so many invisible health issues that the adults we asked for help didn't believe us. The student in question was actively hallucinating. When I finally ran for help the people I grabbed were slow as shit to respond, casually joking about how "dramatic" the person in question was.
The kid was picked up by an ambulance 30 minutes later.
Now as an adult working in security I get SO MANY folks- upper-middle aged mostly- coming to me to 'rat out' people they think are faking it.
I was once sent into a bathroom because a client demanded that the "fucker won't get out, so go drag them out"- I was NEVER going to do that, so I did a wellness check instead. You know who it was? A person recently released from the hospital after a car accident. They had a hole in their skull and major hearing loss. They couldn't answer the owner because they couldn't HEAR the owner.
Another time about a homeless man who got around town by kicking the ground from his wheelchair. "You know he doesn't actually need that thing, his legs work fine, it's just for pity points"- Oh, so he's not paralyzed, his wheelchair is performative? Funny story Dale, I actually know that guy, he was backed over by a truck and has chronic pain from his shattered pelvis. But sure, let's make him stand up and walk everywhere so nobody feels too bad for him and tries to help him or something.
"She doesn't need that scooter, I've seen her get out of it."
"Look how fat he is, because he just rides around and refuses to get up."
"She doesn't really need that cane- she comes here without it all the time"
Sincerely, truly, from the bottom of my heart- as someone who isn't physically disabled but hears this shit all the time- fuck off
"this post transcends language XD" but it's a post with no english cognates at all

Day 3: world record holder for Prettiest Harem Protagonist
happy pride! my fantasy trilogy with a queer polyamorous romance at its heart, The Gardener's Hand, is on sale on itch.io for only $7 (June 2026)
let me tell you about these books
set on a tidally locked planet (some places are day all the time and some places are night)
three main characters: tiny angry feral mindreader Alizhan, big quiet sensible do-gooder farm girl Ev, and slutty hedonist poet/linguist Thiyo (who you will not meet until book 2, but who's worth it, I promise)
super fucked-up female villain, Iriyat, who's beautiful and rich and beloved by everyone, even though she's doing secret murders and evil experiments on innocent people. how is she getting away with it? well being beautiful and rich helps, and also she can erase memories. oh shit!
but she feels so powerful and untouchable that she took notes on her own criminal conspiracy, and when this encrypted book gets stolen, it sets off a whole chain of events
Alizhan discovers that Iriyat is Up To Something, gets herself and Ev into a lot of trouble, then they try to stop Iriyat many different times, go on the run over the whole world, meet Thiyo, fight and flirt a lot, yearn bisexually, suffer wildly, do magic, make friends, heal themselves and each other, and imagine better worlds
one time Smart Bitches, Trashy Books called the first book "phenomenal"
also there's sea monsters
Rarer D&D alignments
Bastard Good: You make the world better for people but in a really obnoxious way so everyone low-key hates you for it
Chaotic Dead: You set yourself on fire at the start of each session
Informed Evil: you're wearing a red cape and cackling so we kind of assume you've probably done some bad things off screen, right?
Lawful Pointless: You follow the rules of chess in every situation you find yourself in.
False Neutral: HAHA FOOLS! I WAS NO DRUID! I WAS A PALADIN ALL ALONG!
Lawful Anxious: You follow very strict laws but you don't know what those laws are or if you're breaking them.
Personal Evil: rather then making things worse for sapient life, you work to make things worse for Steve specifically. Everyone else is fine.
Centrist Neutral: "I don't support The Chained God Tharizdun breaking free and unmaking all reality but if we stop him through force we're just as bad as he is. Did you know there's actually zero difference between good and bad things?"
Sponsored Good: You provide justice, compassion and the great taste of subways sandwiches! Put in the code SMITETHESINNERS when ordering online for 20% off!
Sexy Lawful: You follow very strict rules but in such a way we kind of suspect you're getting off on it.
Chaotic Incidental: You act completely randomly but by sheer chance your actions turn out identical to if you followed very strict rules.
Theoretical Good: You want to do good things to help the world and once you stop binging Netflix you're absolutely going to.
Ugly Neutral: None of the other alignments want to hang out with you so you're neutral by default
Chaotic Meta: You pointedly refuse to follow the rules of the game you're playing.
Thirsty Evil: Look, orcs are hot, ok?

waaaaait this was so cute
Honestly, Tvyek is pretty miraculous. It’s permeable to water vapor but not to water, it’s nearly impossible to tear, but can be easily cut. It’s cheap and made entirely without binding chemicals. In addition to being used for wristbands, it’s used to wrap construction sites to keep out water during construction, for tear-resistant envelopes at Fed-Ex, coveralls for mechanics, and my wallet, actually.
Fun tip, though it looks like paper, Tyvek is plastic, and cannot be recycled with paper.
holy fuc
I didn’t even know it had a name
