Okay so obvious history negligence aside

A lot of the first gun laws were explicitly race based. The earliest example being in 1640s Virginia banning all African Americans (Slave and Freeman) from carrying weapons including clubs. Also a separate law around the same time in Virginia prohibiting Native Americans and specifically people of mixed ancestry as well from owning guns.

We see a lot of the same until post 14th Ammendment, where in 1870 Tennessee passed a ban on the sale of handguns except the more expensive Army and Navy model handguns that the newly freed African American Citizens largely could not afford. A lot of modern gun laws still fall to this basic problem of not making it harder for the wrong people to get a gun, but rather just increasing economic barriers.

1875 High Court (United States v. Cruikshank) rules the government can’t protect African Americans from being disarmed by the KKK

1893 Alabama placed “extremely heavy business and/or transactional taxes’” on the sale of handguns in an attempt “to put handguns out of the reach of blacks and poor whites.” Which obviously isn’t just racist but also classist.

I see a lot of ‘cis’ women say they wish they were androgynous in the way men were or they wish they were pretty in the way men were. This is your sign to go try to do that. Cut your hair if you’ve always wanted to but have been afraid to. Shop in the men’s section if you’ve been too nervous to. Wear clothing with an androgynous  silhouette. Experiment with binding, take baby steps with compression bras if you want. Wear unisex scents. Live life. Try things you want to try. A lot of cis women do not understand the joys of mens pants and mens deodorant. I think everyone should try both of those things.
