Gretchen Felker-Martin has now been interviewed about what has transpired between herself and DC Comics/Warner Media:
As if you've never gotten in trouble at work? Gretchen Felker-Martin dishes on the abrupt cancellation of her new DC series, Red Hood.
A part I found particularly poignant:
I encourage everyone to read the full article. Gretchen is incredibly transparent in her relationship to DC Comics/Warner Media and the treatment of her throughout this short-lived artistic partnership.
I would like to remind people it is not about what she said/did that you personally disliked or disagreed with, but instead the manner of which she was fired and subsequently the scorched earth way with which they pulled the series and refunding purchases of #1, a book that was already in shops.
This is unprecedented and unacceptable behavior. If we do not speak out when something like this happens, it becomes the new normal. Do not let them do that to marginalized creators.
