It only requires being in a caloric deficit which means consuming fewer calories than you burn. The difficulty is actually adhering to it when hunger becomes an issue. Here are six tips that will help you deal with hunger and/or make staying in a caloric deficit easier. - Black coffee has 0 calories and acts as an appetite suppressant. Drinking it during the day can help you deal with hunger. Drinking it black is an acquired taste but you get used to it. - Low calorie fruits like watermelon, strawberries, and blueberries have very few calories per gram compared to other fruits. They can help fill you up while not contributing too much to your overall calories for the day. - Just like low calorie fruits, veggies are also low in calories but are relatively filling. They can help you feel fuller without you having to consume too many calories. - Carbonated water or diet sodas have 0 calories but the flavor can help with a sweet tooth and the carbonation helps you feel fuller. If youโre someone whoโs against any kind of sweetener, feel free not to drink them. Personally, I think theyโre fine in moderation. - Intermittent fasting condenses your eating into a smaller window of time. As a result, you are less likely to overeat since youโre more likely to feel full when youโre eating fewer, larger meals. - Lastly, walk more! The more calories you burn, the more calories you can get away with while still being in a caloric deficit.
