Can anyone recommend a top down crochet hat pattern? Every one I've tried so far ends up weirdly flat on the crown.
why is Jason Todd’s alias tweeting in Cities: Skylines?
can someone please explain why the Titans Tower attack is treated as Jason trying to kill Tim? Like, they just fought. Tim was unconscious but demonstrably alive at the end?
Confession: I always substitute with the word yam ("I yam who I yam").
No one will ever know. Y'all don't know me in real life, I bet the next time someone says "I am..." you're gonna be secretly wondering.
Here it is the lates episode of the batfamily comics strip based on a @frostbittenbucky short story! artwork by me!!
I'm drunk and my yarn is tangled, someone entertain me.
I don’t actually care about Batman having Robins - it’s no worse than Percy Jackson or Soul Eater or any other action-adventure aimed at kids with kid protagonists.
But what the fuck, please stop trying to justify a grown man having child soldiers. Stop with the “all the kids wanted to be Robin, Bruce couldn’t stop them” bullshit. They are kids! We don’t let kids do whatever they want! That’s not how parenting works! If a 12 year old wants to do drugs or drive a car and they hurt themself or someone else, that’s on the parents who let them!
You can just take things as a staple of the genre. You don’t have to tie yourself in knots to justify behavior just because you like the character who does it.
This is me on my anti-Bruce soapbox, but my opinion for the best “who could possibly replace Bruce as Batman?” plot:
What about *no* batman? This would probably be if he were forcibly retired for being too violent/abusive, and we could get a lovely arc acknowledging that Gotham needing *a vigilante* is not the same as needing *batman*
Baby Tim: batman is getting too violent, he needs a Robin
Nightwing, looking at the data: actually what this man needs is anger management and not to be allowed around civilians or impressionable children
I remember reading this for the first time and finally realizing how mentions of Jason would be for the entirety of Tim’s run.
Anyways. I think this is an interesting look at Tim’s perspective on Jason’s death. It’s not true, but it’s what he believes. In Tim’s eyes, Jason got himself killed by not obeying orders, and Tim thinks he should know to do better. Ironic considering Tim spends 95% of his run disobeying Batman (hell, him being Robin is him thinking he could run before he would walk). Anyways.
@dankovskaya “The idealized version of you in my head never would have said this.”
After Jason shot a human trafficker
Jason: [standing over the man who’s bleeding out]
Batman: [steps out the shadows]
Jason: “he’s still alive, Batman. Still kicking. Your precious rules haven’t been broken”
Batman: [clearly seeing this guys gonna die] “ok cool, do you want fish sticks tonight? Alfreds out of town”
Yes, thank you!!! This bothers me so much! I cannot possibly take “Batman doesn’t kill” seriously at all because he demonstrably does.
But re: retconning the first incident and DC saying after the fact that he told the local police where to find KGBeast. In the original issue (Batman #420), he specifically told the FBI/CIA (I don’t remember which, it might have been both) that Beast was taken care of and not to worry about it.
You want me to accept that he told the federal agents who were there specifically to apprehend the guy to fuck off, then handed the dangerous foreign operative off to the notoriously corrupt Gotham PD??
Nuh-uh, no sir, that’s not good enough.
I have concluded that the only logical response to Nightwing’s recognizable butt is that he has to wear custom shapewear or butt padding to disguise his most prominent feature
Day 30. Favourite Panel of the dynamic duo.
Sometimes I think that Jason being the only Robin that didn't have Dick as Batman by his side is kind of unfair, but in reality Jason didn't need that because he had something better, he had Discowing.
I strongly believe that Jason and Dick weren't put together in many pages because if DC had done that then Batman would slowly get pushed to the side by the total awesome chaos that those two would bring. They would have been way too epic.
That's why it took DC so long to give us a story with these two that also shows us their connection in the past.
It might not have been enough and not exactly what I wanted but at least I got this.
All DC had to do is give us this. Bruce is out of town for whatever reason so Dick goes to the Manor and causes chaos with lil Jason thanks to their accomplice Alfred Pennyworth.
Jason being competitive and nasty towards Dick is just a basic take, so having him being more of a kid hanging out with his brother was quite pleasing.
Even when we got some not so desired narratives we were given something back for them. Dick making sure that Jason knows that he understands him and that he is there for him is something that I really wanted to see.
Surely this isn't the traditional dynamic duo but I still love the idea of them teaming up and will forever want a book that tells a fantastic story of the adventures that I like to think they had.
Remember, as far as we know not all of Jason's memories are back to him and Dick hasn't has many opportunities to sit down and talk to Jason, so I have decided that there are stories about these two, we just haven't gotten to know them.
It’s far from the only reason, but one thing that prevents me from really liking Stephanie as Robin is that I can’t see anything but freaking Norbert Beaver, what with the hairstyle
I’m sorry, it was just my first thought when I started reading her time as Robin, and I can’t get past it. Steph just stays Spoiler in my mind (also because that queen deserves to be independent from the fucking bat. Fuck Bruce)
jason todd, the robin who gave the hard-hitting political commentary.
in this house we love one (1) drama king
Who doesn’t love casual (harmless) arson for telling your annoying little siblings to fuck off
appreciation post for robin jason being 5% boy and 95% yellow cape
