today at work a little kid came in to order their birthday cake and their mom was like “(deep sigh) tell them what you want on your cake” and the kid was like “ELSA” and the mom was like “(deeper sigh) and?” and the kid was like “SHARKS” that kid literally ordered a princess elsa and sharks birthday cake and i have literally never in my whole life been more excited to see the end result of an order ive taken.

I’ve seen a couple posts going around lately about Wakusei Woodstock Funky Horror Band and I thought I’d share a fun factoid about why it’s notable, besides its wacky name and boxart.

This game is a Mega-CD launch title that only ever made it to Japan, and you’d be hard-pressed to find any info at all in English. Well, there’s a reason for that - the gameplay is pretty dull and mediocre RPG fare. However, the game’s music was so well-produced that the fictional Funky Horror Band got picked up to produce not one but four CD studio albums, as well as one vinyl remix record marketed to DJs, under the Victor Entertainment label.

It’s actually pretty good!
