random take about star wars the clone wars

just that the point is that they were trying to show that the Jedi had become flawed, right?

Like they each individually understand completely what the Jedi are supposed to represent, it's just they have forgotten that they're meant to represent it for everyone

It's not that the Jedi were bad people, they'd just gotten so wrapped up in war that they as a collective rather than individuals forgot who they were meant to be.

Like what I mean is that every Jedi that we meet like, ever, shows how much they care about others and want to help people, but they only get to show their kindness in literal war zones and it's so sad because if they had it there way that's not where they'd be, but they see it as their duty to protect people, and this is the only way they've been told that they're can help people, but by caving to this narrative they do lose sight of what they all wanted to be.

TLDR; the Jedi all want to be good, but because they were forced into being soldiers by forces they couldn't control, they did lose sight of what they were actually meant to do

saw someone on youtube explain so quickly why i kinda didn't enjoy seeing Ahsoka in live action (it wasn't a video about this it was about why the outfits for something else don't feel real) which was just this:

The costumes were designed for the animated version, specifically tailored with the animated model of her appearance and tailored to the artstyle and so when they try to transition this into live action it looks like a costume not something they've ever actually worn or lived in

anyway, i think they needed to adapt the costumes to stop looking so clean and instead should've designed something with the look of Ahsoka but different and more beaten up

Disclaimer: I have no dislike of the actresses i think they did a pretty good job of portraying her character

my most unhinged but genuinely really helpful writing advice?

when you can't figure out how a character should act, pick an existing universe that matches their vibes and write fanfiction with them in it.

this has actually helped me develop so many OCs to the point where the majority of my OCs that are in my current original WIP originated as OCs I dropped into a fanfiction to figure out how they'd be.
