Hi! Thank you all for the warm reception of my tgcf fangame. I decided to make a proper post to introduce it to the fandom
What is it about?
Itās a post-canon farming/dating sim. Hua Cheng has recently returned from his uhhhh āvacationā and is determined to propose to his gege, for real this time!Ā
He cannot afford to make a fool of himself again, so he has to prepare properly without Xie Lian finding out. How do you do that? Easy! You bring Xie Lian ingredients for one of his new boy dinner ideas, he cooks it and gets so inspired he distracts himself long enough for Hua Cheng to leave his side and do what he needs to do! Surviving just 6 of his creations will be enough for the ghost king to get ready and ask the love of his life to marry him.
But you canāt forget Hua Chengās main objective - Xie Lianās happiness! To sustain it, you will have to take care of the house, keep your chickens fed and your beloved kissed, and try not to abuse E-Ming, please. If gege ever frowns for too long, Hua Cheng will self-detonate and die. Good luck!
Why are you making the game?
Beside the deep love I harbor for the books, Iām making it as a challenge to myself to finally finish a game. I want to make game development my career and have been playing around in engines since childhood but I have never actually released anything to the public. This changes soon!Ā
BUT do keep in mind that itās technically my first game, so itās not gonna be good! No oneās first game ever is, and itās okay and Iāve already learned so much!! I hope you will enjoy giving it a try as much as I enjoyed making it.
When does it come out?
Hopefully this summer. Iāve already implemented all the core mechanics and now just have to finish visual and audio elements (iām making every asset myself and it takes time) and fix bugs. Iām also getting my bachelor degrees this June, and it may or may not delay the release. Weāll see!
