Greta is an artist. She travels for the world trying to sell her artworks for living, she knows she never will be rich but that dosn’t really matters because she does what she loves and she is living her dream. Greta dosn’t work for money, she works for passion.
So, Greta meets this guy Rob in one of the towns she goes. And she fall in love with him, and she decides to stop making art and traveling the world for staying with him. Sometimes, Greta does an sporadic artwork as a hobbie, but it’s no more her modus vivendi, passion still there but the dream has gone.
With no job and no money, Greta goes through narrow circumstances. She hasn’t a place to live, so she sleeps in her van, Rob has a place but he never ask her to come to live with him, he dosn’t even offer her a couch for sleep at nights. Starving Greta eats remains from the trash cans, Rob never offer her some kind of help or food or shelter, even knowing that she is poor because she left her job because of him.
Happily, Greta meets a good friend in the town, and she provides her some clean clothes and food ‘till she can find a job. And talking about friends, Peter, Rob’s best friends, is really cruel with Greta. He constantly insultes her, humiliates her, and minimizes her, everything in front of Rob. And Rod never does nothing about it. He never talks to Peter, he never asks him to stop trying his girlfriend like that.
Also, as Rob has his own bussiness, he just spends time with Greta when he wants to hang out. Greta it’s not really a priority for him, he aparentilly prefer to share with Peter and the guys. He has a job, but it’s just a couple hours at week, so he could spend more time with Greta and he dosn’t.
Finally, Greta finds a job in a cleaning service, and she is earning money again. Things seem to going better. But then comes the baby, and Rob disappeares. And he knew he was about to gone before making the baby. The baby wasn’t an accident, he wanted to make it. He knew he didn’t gonna be there. He knew that Greta was hardily surviving with a minimal ingress of a job that wasn’t her dream, and he still left her alone with a baby. He still left her with all emotional, financial charge or raising the baby alone. Well, not alone at all, because Peter, that guy who always hated and mistreated Greta will help her to raise the child. And his other friends will help too, Rob did ask for their opinion in some point, right? Well, maybe he didn’t, but that’s not really important, right?
So, what do you think?, Isn’t this a cute love story?, Isn’t Rob adorable? No? So why when Rob is Rose Quartz and Greta is Greg Universe it becomes into a love story? Why what Rob did it to Greta was not ok but what Rose did it to Greg was ok? Why if Rob dosn’t care about Greta’s needs he is a jerk, but if Rose dosn’t care about Greg’s needs she is just sweet and funny?
