As the time comes to pass we find ourselves heading into a second year of Ecology Benefit Society. The origination of this group never had one true vision other then addressing an issue with our societal understanding of our natural ecology, how the environment interacts with itself, and how we play the biggest role in it's imbalance. As thoughtful, cultural, and knowledgeable people we have the capacity to recognize our surroundings and make inferences based upon our environment. The reality is that a majority of cultural stimulus is directed from a standpoint of marketing and consumerism which, for the most part, is widely unsustainable in practice. This is why Ecology Benefit Society sought to take some role in influencing a different dynamic for cultural direction, and even a refreshed outlook on what we perceive as environmentalism.
This technological compilation of breaks, beats, and sounds serves as a testimony of our affection and consideration for natural elements in the creation of music and art which are two vital elements for creating any kind of culture. Made available at the price of your choice, the compilation is made available for overall easy download and to get any environmental function going.
With much love and appreciation for everything this group has put fourth, and the incredible support we've received over this last year, thanks for checking us out!
To start off your month of May, Ecology Society brings you "SPRING SPECIAL" a mix of song collected from the month of April. Lots of these songs were included in our late night sessions of backyard entertainment as well as our 420 Earth Day party.
Since the DOUBLE MONTH SELECTIONS haven't been released in a while with only MARCH MADNESS to show for our collection of songs the previous two months, we're hopeful to be able to provide monthly selections of tracks and continue a consistent delivery of good music.
Starting out with Snoop Lion ending with 813, this playlist should take you on a journey of beats, house, juke, and love beats. This variety of tracks features many elements of music listening for use at parties and casual listening, all mixed together in this playlist while keeping a flow of pattern and feel as the music continues playing.
& if you're wondering about the bird that is the Antilophia bokermanni, the critically endangered Brazillian native which belongs to a list of species you will most likley be gone in our lifetime. For a list of more species that belong to this list of animals you may never see again checkout this article here.

With a year of Ecology Benefit Society in the making, our group has organized a mixtape compilation of exclusive tracks made available for download via bandcamp. Overall, this mixtape hopes to instill a sense of environmental ambiance to be downloaded and played at parties, social functions, community gardens, and on stereo systems all over where people might hope to stimulate an environmental awakening or nature-esque atmosphere.
Featuring tracks from Juke Ellington, Husky, Whiskers Po, Sea Blaze, Xyloid, $PL△$H ¢LUB 7, Dune Fangs, XLXL, and some other amazing producers: it's no doubt that this mixtape is going to provide the custom sound we're trying to project since all of these artists have admitted to a strong influence taken from nature in the creation of their music.
Due for release at the end of May, this mixtape is sure to summarize a feeling of spring and prep the vibe for our fun summer. <3 <3 <3

Thanks to contributions by several artists Ecology Society was able to organize a mixtape for the Valentine's Holiday. Even cooler, is the mixtape is available for whatever price you would like. this album serves as a representation of artist's collaborative efforts to raise awareness for this group which happens to center on the idea of stimulating an environmental music culture through the promotion of varied genres & musical backgrounds.
Feeling a more matured deep vibe, I wanted to really set the feeling and create the definition for the Double Month Selections. Created from the inspiration received by the soulful vibe of music I felt that I wanted to really convey the overall purpose and genre behind the playlists. With future collaborations and future posts from artists on all ends of electronic genres their input will include of more of the jukey, trap, break stuff that I also personally enjoy a lot.
In contrast to the last DMS, this mix probably includes some of the least variety as far as crossing into different musical backgrounds, however I did slow it down and include of of my favorite chill-out casual jams.
What a great way to start off the year, a preview of Lapalux's new album, killer tracks comming in from Mak & Pasteman, Local Talk delivering a classic EP, followed by a mix of house grooves, mellow beats, and more thumping tracks. I'm stoked to see new releases from Ta-ku and Totally Enormous along with the "No Reason" remixes coming out on the 21st. & I'm really happy Charli XCX has finally released the anticipated "You (Ha ha ha)" since I heard its feature on BBC Radio 1.
Overall this mix has more variety, I feel, then some of our other Double Month Selections, and I think anyone familiarizing themselves with new future sounds will appreciate this one.
Withhhh that said, sit back and kick out the jamz.
Did you know that the familiar aquarium tank lionfish are are known to be an incredibly invasive and destructive fish? In the mid-ninety's the Florida's coast received it's first introduction to the species when the fish rose in popularity through the Aquarium trade in combination with owner's negligence to care for their fish, resorting to "tank dumping". Two species of lion fish, the red lionfish (P. volitans) and the common lionfish (P. miles), are known culprits for threatening the trophic cascade in regions of the Atlantic Ocean and the Gulf of Mexico. This hardy, poisonous, 4.5lb-a-day eating, 3 million egg laying, beast of a fish, has developed into a big ecological nuisance. To combat the species several communities have sponsored Lionfish hunts, as well as offered cash money to dive teams that can spear the most lionfish in a day, fishers spot for the fish and kill them, and other community members have been encouraged to adopt lionfish into their diets to support the economic demand for the fish on the market.
So, now, you too, can "boo hoo" about the environmental crisis that is the lionfish. Sucks because scientist speculate that because of the fish's rapidly increasing population it's not going to be possible to remove the fish and prevent it's reign of destruction Already, the population sizes in the Atlantic Ocean are greater then the size of their population in their native habitat, the Endo-Pacific. For now, it's: "the more you know".
With that said, kick back and listen to this killer Sea Punk mix and know that Ecology Society will bring you another one next month with more information on the ocean's ecology.
New Sea Punk mix every 7th, bringing you the most nautical noises in all the nebula's oceans. Starting with some Super Mario, to Sea Punk favorite Whitely, schoolin trough some dance jamz, chiptunes, Azelia Banks, and some hard trance ish, this is a treasure chest full of sea selections and is freshly sealed to preserve taste and ensure ultimate enjoyment.
Packed with fresh future tunes as well as some familiar mainstream vocals, it's apparent why Husky is growing in fandom and popularity.
Husky has a taste for a new culture of music that involves a collaboration of tastes from all party scenes. Bumpin' the hottest selections from the clubs and the rave caves of the future, it's refreshing to find this music executed and delivered with such style. Husky's "Groove Sessions" have continued to do just that. In all of his featured mixes we hear sweet jamz ranging from many genres of r&b, 2-step, house, jungle, and hip hop. This taste is what allows him to identify with the rest of society; one that for the most part rejects an underground culture.
Kickin it off with the discipline of Zed Bias' remix of "Beautiful Black Women Come From Brooklyn" we see an open preview into Huksy's audial aesthetic. Right after, Husky reveals a little Gucci Mane keeping the interest of mainstream party peoplez who wanna get down at one point or another. This sets the mood and example for the range of this mix: this mix is going to have hot house jams and it's gonna get a little thuggin'.
With only 30 minutes in the mix this is is a worthwhile listen if you're just kickin' back with some friends, doing your homework, or other personal leisure.

This year was packed with ultimate jamz and an incredible upsurge in music production, collaboration, and technique. This stuff has been rave ready consistently bringing heavy bass and thirst-quenching synth lines. I am happy to support these genres as I feel they are to combine with the future of this new wave culture. Check it out 'n vibe!
This mix has a lot of really thumpin' house tracks, as long as some classic beats that anyone would want in their music selection. I really appreciate the trippy vocal repetitions as seen in Dj Earl TEKLIFE's tracks, and I think his little 1:30min track does justice for the playlist as a whole. It's about envisioning a new destination for music, creating the piece, and feeling accomplished with having gotten there. This is what I feel I like the most about online music listening and virtual music listening is that it's being put out so fast, so quick, that it has a limited time for reception. While it takes a lot of time to produce the whole track: it's heard in only a matter of minutes.
Husky comes through with this end of the year roundabout taking it back to the basics in this 2-step, garage house, future tune. Using interjecting bleeps and bloops ringing out that satellite frequency it's a jumpin vibe that could hype any moment.
The coolest thing about Husky, 19 year-old producer from Detroit, is that he's ambitious to challenge classical electronic music genres and what's currently being put out at the moment, all in the hopes of producing something better. By listening to his tracks and mixes one can really see where he finds his influences in things deep house, jungle, break-beat, and future; never ceasing to skip the drum loops and add variety to his patterns.
"The way I see it, I have the ability and ideas to do something, and to not try is a waste of life."
Husky is down for the ecological movement to influence our community's perspective towards sustainability and environmental sanctity. In a world of Jocka's and Waka Flocka's he understands the incredible void that music plays in people's everyday lives and how it stimulates a culture and social environment.
I believe that Husky is crankin' these beats because he feels this is what his community should here. In a city so heavily influential on the house community, pioneering some of the first techno house tracks, it's surprising to find it's popularity has dwindled after it has spread so far globally. Husky's tracks bring you back to a time when people were getting down, starting out, and asking the question: "what is electronic music and how do we define and create it's audience?"
This is why Husky is down with the movement, down with the society. He wants to make a difference and music is his venue.

As this year comes to its end we're getting super ready for next year. With ecologically friendly gear like tees and stickers we're gonna pump it with the vibes that we're trying to put out. Of course the music is always a help in encouraging the process.
This mix features a lot more pop-remix type tracks, but I feel that it fits the mood and keeps it current for people who might not be as down with the sickness.
Sorry too deliver late, still catching up with this thanksgiving weekend.
This mix features some really kick back jams like "I Will B" by DAILON, as well as some dance anthems like the feature from Jack Beat's forthcoming EP. Listen for the end track "Principles" which just sums everything up the way it supposed to.
Really excited for the future of the posts as we take entry into a new form of development. This Novembers entry is a portal into some of the best beats that have been making their way into our ears as this month takes of. I wasn't in town this week so I was a little backed up with the influx of hot tracks that have hit the streets since this month of November has kicked off. On another note, something else to look forward to, today we'll also be featuring an interview with a favorite artist from Chicago by the name of Equator Club as he comes out with his newest EP tomorrow.
Its going to be interesting to see how something as mechanically refined as electronic music can influence a change in a culture that is sustainable and ecologically healthy. Does music play a role in that? Only artists can describe their feelings on the subject.
With everything said and done I appreciate you tuning in to hear this one out! ENJOY!
So here's another mix on time for the end of October as we finish up our last harvest. As we continue to grow and progress in our music features we also hope to shortly be sending our subscribers some interviews with some of these artists; asking them how they might see music providing an influential ground for a sustainable ecological culture. The idea that art, media, and design will influence our society is indubitable but the necessary belief in that potential in it's ability to make true positive change, is that there? That's what these artists will perhaps pitch to us, and even their causes for making music and creating the atmosphere as they see fit. Stay tuned, and you wont regret it: November's gonna be another good month for music!
So here it is!
Thanks Much, Mando
Tracklist Run-down:
Matthewdavid - 2012
California grown artist beat-maker is just setting the tone with his new EP "Producers in 2012 Learn to Spread Love". So True! I'm feelin' it! Woot! Catch a free download via selftitledmag!

eerojohannes - HEYGURLGIMMIEURURL
Give it up. As mentioned on the upload itself "It's 2012". So this song is here to keep it totally 2012! Not only does eerojohannes produce but his talents are strongly exemplified in his artwork and design. Again, no brainer for an artist feature to wrap up this October.
"So what? So what about you?" This is the begging of a fat night of dance and vibes and is a necessary feature for any music blog entry. The jungle dance groove at the end fires up the mood for endless bouncing and get'n'down. Get wild! At the age of 19, it's unbelievable how much this guy is killin' it. Woopwoop free download, too!

Endlines - You Make Me
This track comes from an exceptional British house artist by the name of Endlines. With a fat dance line like that it can deffs switch up the pace and keep the groove alive. Cheers!
This song is more then romantic, I can't even grip how much I love the original and this remix is such a dope rework. I recently played this at a party and a good friend of mine and I started vibin' so hard when he really got listening in on what Beyonce was actually singing about. Who wouldn't want to be treated this way after a long hard days work? Carling Rose, this is a fat remix and my favorite of the recent release of renditions.
Whoa! Sick launch and perfect timing to end October on a killer note. This remix also compliments Karma Kid's last feature on our playlist as well as Sweater Beats' track "MLLN DLLR". It's pretty self explanatory, just by listening one can hear the careful thought and detail put into layers of the track. Karma Kid always keeps the atmosphere moving, and the motions created in the mix are mindblowing. All that with more MC chatta on this track and it keeps bumpin'...

Cassie - Me & U (Mak & Pasteman Bootleg)
This is the hottest track of the century, or am I just imagining this? Whatever it is.. this track takes you there.. I was asked "Can you play something I can like sing to and dance too? as if the grooves weren't phat enough. Needless to say I sent this track their way and it was bullseye! Also, it's a free download because Mak & Pasteman themselves knew it would be unruly to prevent any kind of access to this one. So add it to your library, because you just might need it one day.
Highstreet, Fion & Aaron Lipsett - Around
This Rick Astley rework is insane. Sounds like I'm skipping on the breaks. This trio remix is an ultimate release for this month and with a free remix to boot! Woot Highstreet proves to be a sick collaboration and now teaming up with an even greater line-up as if they weren't already like the Swedish House Mafia of 2012's future beats!

Tempogeist x Lisa Dank - Romeo (Monitor 66 Remix)

George Fitzgerald - Child (Geeeman Rework)
Ok, Ok, so "Child" is my favorite track of the year and I don't take lightly to remixes of my favorite songs... Yeah right I usually dig anyone's true rework -like Geeman's interpretation on this one. Get wonky! This is a hyped up dance jam with such a comical upbeat loose dance vibe that I chose to feature this track of the recently released remixes.
Feed Me & Crystal Fighters - Love Is All I Got (Larse Remix)
For some reason Crystal Fighters is so on point with their vocals and rhythm that I haven't been able to refute their unique and, for me, a highly desired sound. I'm not a big fan of the new anthemic electro that's been coming out so I didn't enjoy to original too much, It is worth the listen, personally my desired flavor was for something much more smooth... So when I saw the new rework I was excited to listen and Larse delivered with this one it's perfect!

Justin Timberlake - My Love (Bear//Face Remix)
I love these slowed and throw'd remixes that completely disregard people's previous familiarity with the track. Listen for the cowbell, it's there.
If you know me in my personal life you would know that I work with citrus and specifically the many orchards and groves in California, so when I saw this I was stoked. As if the artists name, Druid Cloak, wasn't appealing enough with my incredible fascination for classical fantasy roleplay lore and Celtic theology, this album brings a unique sound for your enjoyment. I was actually able to contact him and see if he was down to answer some questions I had after he mentioned that he "makes what the earth tells [him]". I saw a good opportunity to get his views on nature and music and perhaps how something as mechanical as electronic music can remain as organic as the wilderness.

Flume - Sleepless (Cosmo&Paat Remix)
This remix is in my top songs of all 2012. I am so hooked on this groove that I wont ever let it go! My pops even walked in (he himself also a musician) and said, "This music sounds broken..." To Which I responded, "Aw, you don't like this one?" and he replied, "No I love this... it's just so fresh I wouldn't expect to see anything like this come out until this point in year." I'm always surprised how smart he is sometimes. -___-

This is another artist who I was able to connect with for a possible interview and we're super stoked for this one. So again, stay plugged in!
