Shazam! This is an homage to a poster for Kazaam! Loved that movie as a kid as I did this one. This movie had so much heart. The theme of family was present all the way throughout on the hero’s and villain’s sides. I was entertained all the way through and I lost my shit with that third act. Alita: Battle Angel. If you haven’t already go see it. It had beautiful visuals and cinematography. Rosa Salazar’s Alita truly came to life and I wasn’t distracted or thrown off by any uncanny valleys because, she look really real and her performance capture and translation was so nuanced. A couple of times I noticed when she spoke either excited or angry, her eye twitched a little bit or the way her tears streamed down her face. The establishing shots were grandiose and showcased the multi-cultural and cluttered vastness of Junk City and the immense scale of the floating City Zollum. The scenes had dynamic and interesting camera work to showcase what they needed to. From the first to final, the fight choreography and action sequences were excellently bored. Alita’s journey as a character had her fleshed our with her dreams and ambitions and she definitely grew over the film. Spider-Lycan poses and his Rabid Forme Bitten by a rabid wolf spider that gave him the abilities of a spider such as wall crawling, reflexes, enhanced strength, and even organic webbing. In addition he acquired some feral properties akin to that of a werewolf. He has night vision, enhanced sense of smell and hearing and retractable claws on his digits. Additionally, whenever enraged or under the full moon, he enters a Rabid Transformation. In this state his strength and speed are increased even more causing him to lose reason. He grows larger claws and fangs that with a bite produce a deadly venom potentially fatal to anyone he bites. He became enraged once in a fight and went Rabid, fatally wounding the criminal.
