That narrows it down.
why are people even questioning obesity in america
why is your tea liquidised?
….. Where exactly do you live that the tea isn’t liquid?!?
ENGLAND. WHERE IT IS IN A BAG AND YOU MAKE IT YOURSELF.
like what do you do with already liquid tea? Microwave it?
No it’s sweet tea you drink it cold
WHO DRINKS COLD TEA???
HAVE YOU NEVER HAD ICED/SWEET TEA BEFORE?!?
so i reblogged this from a british person and i’ve been laughing at their tags for 600 years
England, you stole tea from China. You’ve had it a mere 4 centuries compared to their 30+. Don’t play like you’re some kind of authority.
[skeletons ooh-ing]
Shots fired. World War Tea has officially begun.
#INTO THE HARBOR
Englad doesn’t own anything
except that time we owned most of the world
If I stop reblogging this, I’ve gone to the other side.
I have only seen this legendary post in screenshots, so today is a blessed day.
HAH
BOSTON TEA PARTY PART 2
HOLY HELL I FOUND IT
And this is why I love Tumblr
Drinking cold tea is like drinking cold hot chocolate. Sure, you *can* do it, but you *really shouldn’t*
Behold concerned Brit. Chocolate Milk
I only see this on pinterest omg….
OMFG
@riverwriter
BEHOLD THE GREATEST TUMBLR POST
“world war tea” is the best play on words i’ve heard in weeks
this post is a wild ride from start to finish
I haven’t seen this since chocolate milk was added. Is that really just an American thing? You’re missing out guys!
😂😂😂
Cold tea
Cold hot chocolate aka chocolate milk
Cold coffee
I mean, do yall even know about cold water or is that an American thing too???
YOU GUYS DRINK COFFEE COLD AS WELL???
Does the rest of the world not use ice cubes? Do y'all not have freezers? What is going on?
Just thought I’d put my 2 cents in this post, it’s iced tea and not sweet tea. Idk what Americans r smoking 💀
I’m relatively new to Tumblr but it seems like sort of a big deal that I found this post so I’m gonna reblog
Imagine not liking iced tea- actually im gonna go drink some now
I don’t even know what to say…
i drink iced tea every day >:)
Iced tea is brilliant but hot tea is nice too
@dazzling-rubabe
Behold concerned Brit
World War Tea Situation
This post is a relic
Me seeing this for the 14th time in my 5 years on tumblr and seeing more notes and comments but still reblogging it since it’s literally a World Heritage Post
date of origin: November 5th, 2013
The legend has crossed my dash.
Sometimes Brits forget that a massive portion of America has A LOT OF HEAT. There is no question if you live in the south you need cold drinks, and I know the weather is getting hotter over there too- maybe try the iced tea my good dudes.
I really can’t believe I’ve been on this hell site for 8 years
Impart me in your wisdom of ancient times
one time there was a tumblr user with the url “pizza” and she would just comment on any text post about pizza saying “omg that’s me” and then we found out she had an entire tag dedicated to saying the n word
One time somebody paid $750 for the url ‘hi’ and got deleted in less than a year for promoting weight loss scams
There’s always been something deeply wrong with this place.
hey followers. have you ever wanted to know how it feels to be inside a bag of cornflakes
enter the cornflakes domain
I fucking hate this website because not only did I click this goddamn link expecting it to be a joke of some sort, but it wasn’t a joke and I sat here spinning the screen around enjoying myself in a stupid bag of cornflakes like the dumbass monkey I am on Tumblr.com, enthralled by being in a bag of corn flakes in
Less than three days to the 2022 yule goat!
Friendly reminder that on the 27th the 2022 yule goat of Gävle will be erected
Here's the link to the live streaming of the inauguration, that will start at 16:00 (+1 GMT): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FFi13M4ZnKE
Let's the game begins!
shoutout to the guy who created a parody account of cinemasins where instead of pointing out every single flaw in a film, he just pointed out things he liked about the movie. you’re so right cinemawins its so much more fun to like things
CinemaWins once said “Every movie, with very little exception, is someone’s favorite, I like to find out why.” and that sentence alone is worth more than every single thing the CinemaSins guys have ever created.

this is the best tag I’ve ever gotten in my notifs actually
That’s it, the Professor is truly the King of Sass
The letter didn’t come from the Nazi party, but from the publishing house which had expressed an interest in the German translation of The Hobbit. Tolkien’s response really is a thing of beauty, though, so it deserves to be quoted in its entirety:
25 July 1938 20 Northmoor Road, Oxford
Dear Sirs,
Thank you for your letter. … I regret that I am not clear as to what you intend by arisch. I am not of Aryan extraction: that is Indo-iranian; as far as I am aware none of my ancestors spoke Hindustani, Persian, Gypsy, or any related dialects. But if I am to understand that you are enquiring whether I am of Jewish origin, I can only reply that I regret that I appear to have no ancestors of that gifted people. My great-great-grandfather came to England in the eighteenth century from Germany: the main part of my descent is therefore purely English, and I am an English subject - which should be sufficient. I have been accustomed, nonetheless, to regard my German name with pride, and continued to do so throughout the period of the late regrettable war, in which I served in the English army. I cannot, however, forbear to comment that if impertinent and irrelevant inquiries of this sort are to become the rule in matters of literature, then the time is not far distant when a German name will no longer be a source of pride.
Your enquiry is doubtless made in order to comply with the laws of your own country, but that this should be held to apply to the subjects of another state would be improper, even if it had (as it has not) any bearings whatsoever on the merits of my work or its suitability for publication, of which you appear to have satisfied yourselves without reference to my Abstammung.
I trust you will find this reply satisfactory, and remain yours faithfully
J.R.R. Tolkien.
(Letter 30)
The Hobbit wasn’t published in German until 1957.
This might just be the politest “fuck you” ever written.
W.h.a.t.
Not just “I wish I had Jewish ancestors, but I don’t,” but also “you do realize that’s not what ‘Aryan’ actually means, right,” and “you guys are making it pretty hard to be proud of my German heritage.”
Nazis: Are you Aryan?
Noted linguistics freak Tolkien: Are you?
Pointing out the Romani, a group explicitly targeted for genocide for not being “Aryan,” were more Aryan than the white supremacist should be included as an extra fuck you
was thinking about why the lack of female characters in lotr and the hobbit dosen’t feel like exclusion and it’s because they’re just dudes being friends, like they are all just a gang of besties wandering about and the three female characters basically go “right we’re doing this now” and they all just go “alright we’re doing this now :)”
The women are treated as people, who are important, but happen not to be the current main characters. The men aren’t men because they are better than women at swinging swords, they just happen to be male. They go off to war/ the quest because it happens to fall into their hands. None of them particularly want to. They all want to go back to their life at home where they left the women and families.
Mrs Maggot is kind and sensible. Lobelia Sackville-Baggins is jealous and petty but in the end principled and stout. Arwen is beautiful and kind and learned. Galadriel is powerful and ancient and wise, but is tempted by terrible power. The Ents have lost their womenfolk and miss them, because without women there is a loss greater than not reproducing. Ioreth of the houses of healing talks too much and is a little annoying but is knowledgeable and capable. Eowyn believed her work looking after her uncle to be less important than going to war, but she realizes she was wrong. It may be noble to lay down your life, but it’s possible to keep on living and building and healing and that is more important than any battle, and much better than making a home in your despair. Rosie Cotton is faithful and patient and does not take bullshit and keeps the hearth warm in times of crisis.
The women aren’t excluded. They have other important things to do.
wait reblog this this is what i meant but better
One serious antifa dude. 👍🌞
May his example be for a blessing and G-d’s hand on him in protection! This is a righteous act.
I love that he’s using food to do it. Like he could try to fight with politics or slogans or something, but nah he just went food. And I love that. I love all of it.
I do, too. Like his art is gorgeous so don’t take what I’m about to say as an insult to him, but:
It’s also kinda dumb.
It’s not making any particular statement by itself. It’s just “oh look, pizza.”
Which is fantastic, because that means its underlying message, when taken into full context, is “this silly, completely irrelevant picture IS MORE RELEVANT THAN YOUR GRANDSTANDING HATE.”
And not just resetting the defaced art to its original, but using the need to paint again as an excuse to paint EVEN BIGGER.
there's actually a meaning behind the food!
his 'day job' is being a cook so food is something personal to him, who he feels is 'open to the world' and therefore the opposite of hate,
and he started painting because one of his university classmates got killed by fascist so in his honor food (they were both studying food science at the time)
food is love
I told the hibachi guy to "make me regret being born" when he asked how spicy I wanted my spicy chicken, and he just nodded solemnly. I'll see you all in Valhalla
I'm seeing dead prophets
you better watch out. you better watch out. you better watch out. YOU BETTER WATCH OUT.
I think the guy who is here right now to install my dishwasher might be some kind of mythical spirit.
The first guys could deliver the new dishwasher but couldn’t unhook the old one; it took my building guy three visits to get the plumbing sorted out so that the new one could be installed. Then two guys showed up earlier today to haul away the old one but couldn’t because it wasn’t fully disconnected from the power supply and they’re not insured to handle that kind of thing.
This dude didn’t even need me to let him into the building. He just showed up at my unit’s front door. He said “is the power off to the dishwasher” and I said “Yes” and he said “okay, that’s all I need, go do ya thing” and waved me out of the kitchen.
Also the Cryptids, who are terrified of almost everyone except me and Auntie A, and who needed several days to acclimate to my mother before they’d be in her presence, are not only not afraid of him but fascinated by him. They’ve been watching him from the hallway the entire time.
If he installs the dishwasher and then just disappears with the old one without leaving through the door, I won’t even be surprised.
Also:
1. He called me into the kitchen to show me that the dishwasher had been hardwired into the wall and also leaking water and was like “So it’s uh, good it’s getting replaced.”
2. “Dishwashers made after 1980 come with a plug…I’m gonna have to put an outlet into your wall. Or you can have an electrician do it.” “But you could do it?” “For $100.” “Do it.” Being able to just tell someone to do something even when it costs extra is So Nice.
3. He did in fact make the old dishwasher disappear, although he claims he took it out and down to his van. I did not see or hear him do this.
4. He’s putting the finishing touches on now. He has only sworn once but it was epic and I’m pretty sure involved words not in the English language.
He already has my real name. Not sure what I’m gonna do if he demands payment in the form of a year and a day spent in service of the seelie court.
Lastly:
When I tipped him he, visibly younger than me, said “Thank you young man” and then saluted me with a short piece of copper pipe as he left.
This dishwasher sings a little song when you hit the power button, which is delightful.
I love this dude, but mostly I’m excited that cable knit sweaters exist in Star Wars
This looks like a “humans of new york” picture
