Happy pride month specifically to folks on the asexual and aromantic spectrum who oftentimes feel isolated and left out of the conversation. You belong here as much as the rest of us and I hope that you are all loved in a way that is comforting to you.
Vampire girl explaining that vampires don’t necessarily have to kill someone to drink their blood, but she did kind of kill a lot of people back when she was all depressed pre-transition: “when I was an egg I ate four dozen lads”

Happy Pride!
Every pride, you must reblog this. No exceptions
I love that four different people on my feed scheduled this joyous person to reblog by 8am on June 1. I look forward to seeing this a dozen more times today.

Obviously the worst depiction of orcs is the classic "they're all evil" version, but I'm still dissatisfied with the slightly-less-worse "orcs seem like warlike savages but! they have a culture of Honor™" version. I think the problem, other than the fact it's sort of a cliche for fictional "warlike" races, is that it's usually just an attempt to patch over the bad implications, without really exploring or questioning what ideas went into building the original archetype in the first place. Why were they designed the way they were? What are each of their classic traits meant to suggest, and what do those traits actually mean in real life? How might our misunderstanding of other cultures have impacted the worldbuilding there? What are/were those cultures really like? Which stereotypes are false, and what cultural traits might they have that feel unexpected? In what ways are they relatable? Who are they apart from violence? Who could they be?

Nigerian Pride 🏳️🌈🇳🇬
I meant to have this out yesterday. Happy belated pride. :)
op this made me cry real bisexual tears lol 🥹 thank you for sharing!
i am banned from eating my herring inside. they make me eat it on the smoking area by the loading dock, under the theory that it already smells bad there. but it was raining today which was preventing my breakfast, so i was feeling sad and hungry and then i realized that there was a large cardboard box in the dumpster from a previous delivery. like a fridge sized box. so i fished it out of the dumpster, then tipped it on its side and had a nice little cardboard cave to watch the rain and eat my fish in. which was a great experience. very soothing. very zen. at least until the security guard from the day before stepped outside to smoke. then i tried hiding from him by crawling deeper in the box, which unfortunately did not work. instead he saw a sort of damp sniveling pale hairless creature eating fish in a box, and delivered the verbal killshot of "good morning, mr. smeagol." which is how my day was ruined before 8 am.
