Not to nitpick but. An archeologist would simply not say it that way. Grave goods don’t *sex* a skeleton, that’s up to the bones. We can use grave goods to imply/assume sex amongst other things but it’s just lazy and presumptive archeology to presume sex based on grave goods. This happens on like 5 different episodes of Time Team, a delightfully British archeology show that ran until the 2000s. Usually it was a skeleton that was sexed as female, and they’d say “she was buried with items traditionally associated with male burials and not found with other women on this site, so maybe she held a different role than other women in this area.”
I mean, I actually did a project on a woman like that in my archaeology class, and she was assumed to be male due to the objects in her grave for like 300 years until a female student noticed her pelvis was wider and they did some tests. When she was first discovered in the 1700s, she was assumed to be male because it was the 1700s, but they studied her skeleton again in the 90s and realized she was female, but didn’t say anything about it. It wasn’t until about 2014 that a Swedish archaeology student was studying her bones that she was finally sexed properly. So in the past, it was absolutely common for female skeletons to be incorrectly labeled as male due to the items in the grave.
Currently, even though we’re much better about it, there are still people who will try to dispute certain findings though. Like misogynistic men who claim that the items in the grave must just be family heirlooms and don’t have anything to do with what the woman did in life, or trans people who claim every woman with a sword in her grave must have been trans.

Just look at all the tax. Like seriously, anyone who is doubting that this is exactly what’s happening, just go read all of the tax. Every single tag that says something about gender fluidity is saying something along the lines of “I want to be a boy in circumstances where that’s beneficial to my safety, and a girl in circumstances where I’ll get social approval for femininity.”  They are confusing the misogyny that exists in the world that is based in biological sex that makes it unsafe to be female because of male violence, with the performance of femininity and masculinity.  they have stopped the analysis with one pinky in the water instead of actually digging deep.
 And you know what’s funny about this? I actually do dress for my safety and comfort, so when I’m in environments where I will be safer, I can wear something that’s more formfitting, and perhaps more feminine.  When I go to the grocery store, or I go for a walk, or whatever, often times, I dress extremely drab, and I cover up my whole body because those are circumstances in which I don’t feel as comfortable getting male attention. But since I have the understanding of all of this, and the basis of it all, since I understand what sex stereotypes are, and how sex stereotypes are, how female oppression is reinforced, I don’t have to call myself any gender special anything in order to understand that I can dress more stereotypically masculine in certain circumstances and dress more stereotypically feminine in certain circumstances, and none of that changes my biological sex. 
these people trying to describe what being a boy or being a girl is like and literally all they’re doing is just regurgitating stereotypes about sex, which are misogynistic lies about the “nature” of each sex.  They aren’t dismantling anything, they’re finding a new way to exist within that binary. They’re not breaking the binary. They’re not challenging sex stereotypes.  They are saying; when I enacted these sex stereotypes (feminine), I’m being a female, and when I enact those sex stereotypes (masculine), I’m being a male.  It’s literally just reinforcing the lie that women are naturally feminine, and men are naturally masculine.
