Men demanding anal sex from their female partners is a great example of their "sex as dominance" mentality. It's a type of sex that the vast majority of women hate, that can be excruciating painful and that anatomically cannot be pleasurable at all for them. And men know all that, and that's why they want it. That's their way of saying "sex is about me, pleasure is only for me." The state of heterosexual relationships is so depressing.

the "empathy fatigue" stuff is also very revealing because when you examine health professionals' self-reporting on the matter there is a specific type of person they describe losing empathy for- unsurprisingly, it's people with particularly chronic health issues and disability, drug users, people who "refuse to take care of themselves" and especially anyone with a health condition perceived to be "their own fault". very often what they describe as "empathy fatigue" is actually just the mask slipping on the seething contempt they already held

Like if we take the same woman and put her in, I don't know, the late 1800s in the west she probably has no choice but to get married and have as many kids as her husband wants. So probably several. Let's say 10 kids, and she probably starts having them in her early 20s on average. and probably 3-4 of them die in infancy. And this is normal for all the other people she knows too.

That same woman now will likely wait until she's 30 before having her first child, or potentially closer to 40, and probably only has 1 or 2, but they both survive and are well cared for, and she can contribute to the workforce still.

Which of those two conditions is more "natural"? where do we want to set the barometer for "normal"? I would much rather the second scenario because not only is this woman's quality of life better but so is the quality of life of her children. that is the birth rate i want. that's the birth rate i imagine most women want.

birth rates are falling, but they are also STABILIZING to NORMAL, SUSTAINABLE, HUMAN LEVELS. that's my new argument. the drop only looks so severe because women were having too many children before!

Something about the bastardization of the story time and time again proves that nobody in power really cares about the people who would resonate with King’s Carrie White. A girl so ugly and repulsive she’s been removed from her own story. The societal need for women and girls to be constantly perceived as attractive is what fuels a fair amount of her torment in the book, but that person isn’t even allowed to exist on the screen. We cannot empathize with her; it isn’t allowed. It’s fascinating to me.

Just know you’re not perfect and act accordingly, with the appropriate levels of guilt and shame!

I think part of this new wave neo-Nazi ideology in teen boys is because of porn. Because of the sexualization of different women of color, and how they’re sectioned off into their own categories, men and boys can search for any group of marginalized woman. The can spend hours looking at the torture of only black women, or Asian women, or Hispanic women, or any other group, and just like with any other porn it invades their mind and makes them feel like it’s okay to do the same thing to these women in real life too.

About 80% of men claim "touch" is their "love language". And less than 20% of women say touch is their love language.

Men claim they need physical affection to feel appreciated. But they don't hug each other. They don't hold their children, or baby wear. They don't hold their friends hands or rub their backs after a breakup. They don't lean on each other on the train after a long night out.

Women do. Women reach out with their hands and their hearts daily both to friends and family but also to complete strangers. Men do not.

"Touch is my love language" is just shorthand therapy-speak for men to be able to say that they feel entitled to sex. Men complain that women want "acts of service" and men just want "affection" - yet a cuddle isn't what they're after, and providing sex that you do not want no matter how your day has been, no matter how tired or stressed you are, that IS an act of service. It's more than that, it's a chore. It's sexual coercion.
