Straight friend groups be like ‘the sporty one’ ‘the pretty one’ ‘someone’s crush’ ‘the mean girl’ ‘the tall one’ ‘frat boy’
Gay friend groups be like ‘twink who still looks 20 after all these years, the rumors surrounding him would make Satan blush’ ‘painter filled with longing so severe its ruining his life’ and ‘the worst influence you’ve ever met’
in like 5-8 years when gen alpha starts really making fun of gen z no one is allowed to complain because like 99% of people do nothing but treat those kids like shit
so much of what gen alpha is made fun of (by literal adults!!!) is stuff they absolutely have no control over and is not their fault. they have no control of whether their parents choose to stick an ipad in front of their face day 1 instead of being parents. little girls becoming obsessed with sephora and skincare should not be a reason to make fun of them but a reason to question the beauty industry and its predatory behavior. “brainrot” is intrinsic to every generation. it’s not their fault that schools are increasingly becoming underfunded and kids are becoming more and more left behind by the system. not only are kids gonna be kids but they’re also so insanely vulnerable and unable to do anything about that fact due to being literal children. and it’s so disheartening to see so many things that should be obvious societal issues and causes for concern brushed away or turned into jokes because it’s only affecting children, like they somehow deserve the horrible hand society has dealt them for the very sin of not yet growing up
when i was a young boy i had the philosophy of ‘balls are the boobs of the penis so its ok that i want to suck on them it doesn’t make me gay” and tbh i was cooking
to see a marching band

Official Balls Are The Boobs Of The Penis Post
I've seen little about it so, Just an FYI what's been unfolding in England today. Far-right protestors are literally trying to kill asylum seekers in hotels.
In Rotherham, Yorkshire fascists have tried to set a hotel on fire with migrants staying there. Some signalling cut-throat gestures at the people staying in the rooms.
In Tamworth, Staffordshire the very same thing is happening. Another hotel has been set on fire with asylum seekers still inside alongside racist graffiti.
Other similar protests that are going uncountered are happening in Middlesbrough, Hartlepool, Stoke-on-Trent and many more areas, chances are there will be one somewhere by you if things keep going the way they are. Nazis are literally strolling about unchallenged and these people are marching happily with them. There are more sensitive videos online which I won't share here but there are groups of nazis chasing down and circling black people in cities and beating them up, indian and chinese takeaways being targetted, turkish barbers being set alight and there have been incidents of muslims being assaulted and even stabbed.
BUT... There are success stories from UK cities where riots have failed due to no turnout or due to antifascists driving far-right pricks out of the city.
Cardiff, Wales - About 5 fascists turn up compared to 500 conuter-protestors. They failed to get anyone here despite trying two times.
Liverpool, Merseyside - A significant EDL mob is marched out of the city and fought against. Counter-protestors form a ring around a mosque being targetted.
Bristol, City of - antifascists block the entrance to a hotel that nazis are trying to get into as well as a fierce citywide push against the EDL and racism.
Nottingham, East Midlands - A huge antifascist counter protest outnumbers EDL and the far-right, preventing a riot from occuring.
There are many many more of these riots planned. If you're in the UK get organised and be prepared to fight alongside the people who make our communities stong and resiliant and make our country and cities a wonderful vibrant and friendly place to be. Help by whatever means you can. If you are not from the UK then please signal boost this because this needs to stop this nastiness from spreading and to make nazis afraid again.
“My vote doesn’t matter (so I’m gonna sit it out/vote third party/put a write-in protest vote)!”
Unfriendly reminder that Al Gore only lost Florida (and subsequently the entire 2000 election) by only 537 votes. Your vote absolutely fucking matters.
If y’all really, truly don’t want Trump/Republicans back in control than you better get out and vote down the ballot, especially if you live in an even remotely purple/swing state.
The MAGA voters will absolutely get out and vote, don’t let them out-do you.
Gore lost New Hampshire by fewer votes than people voted for Nader. If everyone who voted for Nader in New Hampshire voted for Gore, he would have won without Florida.
If you don't want Trump, you need to vote for Democrats.
ok looks like we're gonna be doing the same thing, different verse, now that it's Kamala Harris on the Dem ticket instead of Joe Biden.
friendly reminder that one of these 2 people is getting elected. there's not a magical 3rd party person who's mystical and perfectly progressive who is gonna come out of the woodwork and save us. not voting or voting 3rd party isn't a "protest," it's capitulation. so let's do a comparison:
On Gaza:
I forgot to add to this that Trump also stated he will deport any non-citizen who protests the war in Gaza.
On LGBTQ+ rights:
On criminal justice:
On reproductive rights:
On the border:
In case you don't believe me re: the last Trump point.
On voting rights:
On climate change:
On the working class:

in louisiana back in the 90's there was an election for governor. the democrat running was edwin edwards, who was absolutely wildly notoriously corrupt and extremely open about it and had been for his entire career. the republican was david duke, an actual former grand wizard of the klu klux klan.
i cannot emphasize enough how much absolutely nobody liked or trusted edwin edwards. absolutely nobody actively wanted him to be governor. he won the election anyway, because people were voting against duke, not for edwards. about five years after edwards' term ended he was convicted of racketeering and spent the next eight years in federal prison. nobody was surprised. everyone had known this was going to happen before they elected him.
my parents are republicans, and i disagree with them about nearly everything about politics and have for as long as i can remember, literally since i was old enough to have political opinions at all, and this is a big strain on our relationship. but they both voted for edwards with no hesitation, despite hating him and knowing he would be a bad governor, because they knew it was important to. i am proud and grateful that they did this. deciding to vote for a candidate you like is, or at least should be, easy. casting a vote for someone you hate, whom you know will do things you hate, because nevertheless that vote will bring about the least bad possible outcome for the world your children grow up in, that's hard. and if a lot of people had not done the hard thing my own childhood would have been much worse for it.
anyway when somebody says they think you shouldn't vote for the lesser evil, what i hear is "i would not have used my vote to make sure you didn't grow up in a state governed by the klu klux klan," and i do have a problem with that
Trump's authoritarian game plan is breaking through to people who haven't heard of it — and it's scaring them
Keep spreading the word
"Here is our master plan for how we're going to take away all your rights and fuck up the economy and environment even harder and how we're going to obliterate free speech and turn everyone into slaves and hey wait where is everyone going? Why do they hate us all of a sudden?"
