The audiobook, audio recordings, and commentary all have their properties programmed so they (should) work just like songs with a track number, album cover, artist, and so on if you download them.

There are two audios of the movie, one is the entire film untouched and one is that same audio cut up and broken down into separate scenes for convenience.

Additionally, there are two versions of the movie transcript, one with time stamps that match the audio recording and one without. The time stamps (+ their titles from the audio) are outlined in that version, so if you double-click on that tab or click "show outline," they'll all show up and you can pick a specific scene.

Similiarly, there are two different versions of the director's commentary transcript. The first is made to listen along to the commentary, while the second is more intended to be read on its own. The first is a direct transcription of everything that's said (an attempt, at least), while the second is slightly cleaned up for easier reading, meaning things like jumbled sentences and stuttering were removed or reorganised, but nothing has been actually paraphrased. Both are broken down into different scenes based on how their conversation goes, and the listening version includes timestamps. 

The first few seconds of the commentary are missing unfortunately as my US friend who was kind enough to record it for me had some technical difficulties at the start, but the commentary starts around the shot of the robot arms right before the shot of "good luck!" written on Grace's sleeping bag. It's also about 40-45-ish seconds behind the audio recording if you can only listen.

There's also a google doc with some instructions to follow if any of the files aren't working, which usually happens when too many people try to access or download something at the same time.

As always, if anything's not working right or you notice any mistakes in anything, please let me know and I'll fix it as soon as I can!

i think the roughest part about adjusting back to normal life in a post epilogue world for han sooyoung and kim dokja is that they both uncovered latent natural born scheming talent the likes of which haven't really flourished in society since medieval china like they really do have god given gifts for rubbing their hands together and mumbling darkly to themselves about their various poisoned chalices and such. and without the apocalypse there just isn't many healthy ways they can channel that anymore. in this sense yoo joonghyuk is the beloved chew toy of two working dogs trapped in suburbia, in that his natural henchman talent allows them to channel all of that diabolical manipulation in a safe and healthy manner as they concoct metaphorical rube goldberg machines to trick yoo joonghyuk into doing such miserable tasks as watering the garden or baking them lemon meringues for dessert. its enrichment for all of them. really, thank god they have each other.

What if the eridian space program exploded after Rocky’s return because of their new fascination with space, new knowledge about the cosmos, graces knowledge, and everything ever patented or copyrighted in the United States so as they explore their solar system they send a probe to Earth.

The probe contains lots of information about their technology as well as their culture, and a full translation dictionary even though everything is in both English and eridian. There is also a video they worked very hard on bc they know humans like to look at things and Grace had input on it and insisted his survival and presence be a surprise at the end, but it gets spoiled because in the background of one of the scientists in the lab is a window into Grace’s terrarium and you can see him in there making mediocre sandcastles with a pink bucket and small yellow shovel.

Whatever you do, don't think about what happens to Grace's biodome after he dies. Don't think about it becoming a monument to the first inter-planetary friendship. Don't think about the generations of Eridian scientists who will visit it to learn about Earth and prepare for visits when they work out the whole space-travel thing outside of an extinction-level emergency.

Any whatever you do, do NOT think about the little Eridian schoolkids who go there on class trips and play in the water in their special exo-suits and listen to lessons that Grace pre recorded while he was still alive and become inspired to be biologists and astronauts and teachers themselves.

Don't imagine Rocky joining them, so that he can hear his old friend teaching children about the wonders of science once more and pretend, just for a moment, that he's still there with them.

You guys ever think of how when you grow up nobody respect your privacy and/or boundary and so when you finally are independent and in relationship, whether it be romantic, or casual with friends, or whatever then you become a vampire and can only cross boundary, no matter how small, no matter how trivial, only when explicitly permitted

I talk to many people who say things like "oh I have trauma but I don't have PTSD", but then when I talk to them a little more I realize that they most likely do, they just can't recognize it as such due to how lacking PTSD awareness is, even beyond the whole "it's not just a veteran's disorder" thing.

The main reason they think they don't have PTSD usually has to do with flashbacks and nightmares, either they have one but not the other or have neither. But here's the thing, those are only two symptoms out of the 23-odd recognized symptoms. Flashbacks and nightmares are two of the five symptoms under Criterion B (Intrusion), which you only need one of for a diagnosis. The other three symptoms are unwanted upsetting memories, emotional distress after being reminded of trauma and physical reactivity after being reminded of trauma (i.e. shaking, sweating, heart racing, feeling sick, nauseous or faint, etc). Therefore you can have both flashbacks and nightmares, one but not the other, or neither and still have PTSD.

In fact, a lot of the reasons people give me for why they don't think they have PTSD are literally a part of the diagnostic criteria.

"Oh, I can barely remember most parts of my trauma anyway." Criterion D (Negative Alterations in Cognition and Mood) includes inability to recall key features of the trauma.

"Oh but I don't get upset about my trauma that often because I avoid thinking of it or being around things that remind me of it most of the time." Criterion C (Avoidance) includes avoiding trauma-related thoughts or feelings and avoiding trauma-related external reminders, and you literally cannot get diagnosed if you don't have at least one of those two symptoms.

"Oh I just have trouble getting to sleep or staying asleep, but I don't have nightmares." Criterion E (Alterations in Arousal and Reactivity) includes difficulting sleeping outside of nightmares.

"But I didn't have many/any trauma symptoms until a long time after the trauma happened." There's literally an entire specification for that.

Really it just shows how despite being one of the most well-known mental illnesses, people really don't know much about PTSD. If you have trauma, I ask you to at least look at the criteria before you decide you don't have PTSD. Hell, even if you don't have trauma, look at the criteria anyway because there are so many symptoms in there that just are not talked about.

PTSD awareness is not just about flashbacks and nightmares.

Tucker, the cat behind Lady Normalgirl’s noble eunuch, passed away on Tuesday morning.

From about the time I could talk, I dreamed of having a pet cat — and when I was ten, that dream finally came true. But in all my tiny child dreaming, I don’t think I could have imagined a cat better than Tucker. He’s been my constant companion for the last thirteen years, through all the best and worst bits of my life and as much as I know it’s good he’s no longer in pain, it seems very wrong that I have to do this next worst bit without him.

I’m thankful that we were able to spend so long together (even if it doesn’t feel quite long enough) and I’m so very grateful that over the last year and a bit I was able to share him with all of you. Knowing that he will be remembered so far and wide means more than I can really express. He definitely knew how insanely much I loved him (and I know how much he loved me back), but I’d like to think he knew how much so many of you loved him and how much joy his noble likeness’s comics brought so many people. While I know I will never stop missing him and that my sadness might never truly go away, it will always be a comfort to know my little cat has left behind such a grand legacy of love and happiness.

I've been going through some wuxia and xianxia novel so much and wondering if Batman in martial arts world can happen.

Maybe Gotham is black forest but that's just too pointed so maybe Gotham is just western name for Jianghu. Make it mixed western & eastern settings so it can fit more.. Bruce Wayne is a son of wealthy merchant group and after an upheaval by a crazed Five Poison Sect martial artist (ehem— "joker") the town goes in mayhem and Thomas and Martha Wayne got killed by a mugger taking advantage of the chaos.

Anyway, I'm thinking Alfred is a hidden master, following after the Wayne as a steward/butler, but also maybe he used to work in Eastern Depot or in high position in military from the forbidden city.

Bruce goes to his training arc and go everywhere from Shaolin, Kunlun, Wudang, etc as mysterious wandering swordsman. Maybe he even goes to Emei Sect by disguising himself as a woman but anyway, I think Bruce going to Taoist/Buddhist sect fits more with how he goes to tibetan monk in the comic.

I think he needs to learn some more trick tho considering all the nonsense he got up to in canon. But anyway when he got to be Batman people keeps mistaking him as a blood demon / jiangshi / demonic practitioner but then he keeps his no killing vow (despite the brutality Batman left his opponent end up be) and because of that people start feeling dharma power from his sword intent.

Also considering how many gadget batman uses I don't think he'll use sword much (although he'll still uses it since this is wuxia) and maybe he learned hidden weapon art from a Tang clan martial artist or whatever. I can't think of more.. just that I've been having this idea for a while and it seems so neat.
