1: it seems like @/urcoolestdoc got hacked :c and the hacker has been using their account to scam more

2: @hoplessstar got the same message on the same number of accounts as me so half the images are theirs

Okay but Ogilvie taking a shot in the dark and doing his pedes rotation only to really enjoy it.

Like during his rotation it’s a little overwhelming, the kids are gross and loud and scared and he’s not the best at dealing with some of them at first but over time he gets his bearings and figures out they’re actually not that hard to deal with.

Ogilvie who keeps stickers in his pockets because he finds that the kids prefer it to verbal praise/comfort. Ogilvie who plays a lot of video games and can talk for hours to a particularly skittish patient and it calms them down. Ogilvie who doesn’t have the capacity to talk down to the children so they feel he respects them and open up to him better. Ogilvie who’s back starts to hurt a week into his rotation because he likes to kneel down to the patients level when he talks to them.

Ogilvie who learns through observation that the kids actually like it when he rattles on about niche and somewhat gross medical facts and so comforts a startled little girl by doing the whole “you wanna know something really gross?” Thing to great success.

Ogilvie who’s bluntness is appreciated, who’s somewhat unrefined people skills can be used on difficult parents. Ogilvie who quickly becomes attached to every patient that comes in and advocates for them the best he can.

Ogilvie who finds that pedes isn’t any easier than Emergency medicine but is far more his speed and goes on to apply for residency at PTMC for their paediatrics department and gets it with glowing recommendations.
